Along with the globalization, the products of foreign culture are not rarely seen in China anymore. Hollywood films, Disney animates and Korea teleplays occupy the place where Chinese traditional operas, plays used to be in Chinese people's life.In addition, the variety of entertainments today no doubt will abate the crowd's enthusiastic on Chinese traditional entertainments. Seeing videos on ipad, listening to music on ipod or playing games on computers are so ubiquitous while listening to Beijing opera or walking on stilts seem to be out of mode in modern society.As for me, traditional culture has its own respective edges. Meanwhile, more and more Chinese realize the importance of Chinese culture which is so glorious that even foreigners are amazed by it and willing to sacrifice themselves in studying it. Currently, while an increasing number of traditional Chinese culture is dying out, the attention to promote our nation's culture is on the decline. Should such a trend continue, it would definitely lead to an undesirable consequence in the long run.
The contributors for the losing of the traditional culture are apparent. Firstly, globalization exerts a major part in the prevalence of the western culture, which is distracting us from promoting our own culture. Among college students, the influence of western lifestyle is especially strong――mounting number of students are busy exchanging gifts on Christmas Day while totally ignoring our own culture. Secondly, families and schools are not attaching e culture.

On the Losing of Traditional Culture
In the course of recent decades, there is a noticeable trend that traditional Chinese culture is either on the decline or losing ground to foreign culture, which brings about public concerns. Various factors have triggered this phenomenon.
From my perspective, Chinese traditional culture is an invaluable treasure, which deserves our recognition and appreciation. While embracing international conceptions and perspectives, we should bear in mind that we are deeply rooted to our traditions, with which we understand each other and form solid bonds within communities. Therefore, we shall never abandon our traditional culture, and moreover we need to go to great lengths to preserve our culture. Better recognition and a greater priority are supposed to be attached to traditional culture. Nevertheless, it is through the combination of mindset and efforts that contribute to the most desirable results. To achieve the goal of further developing traditional culture, schools, local governments and communities should shoulder their due obligations and manage to get more people engaged in the promotion campaign.
