There's no time to say I love you
My grandpa has a kind face, a pair of presbyopic eyes, and a small mouth that seems to be unable to eat much. However, these can only exist in my memory or can be seen in photos.
When I was a child, my grandfather loved me very much. I remember one time, my mother and I accompanied my grandfather and several aunts to eat at an old-fashioned table. I was only 11 years old at the time, short in stature, and couldn't even pick up the food with chopsticks. Moreover, I was no t very good at expressing myself, and I often needed my mother to translate when I had something to say. Therefore, I could only sit there alone, watching the delicious chicken pot in front of me, but I didn't know where to start.
At this time, my mother stood up to help serve the dishes. Several aunts were also busy eating. Grandpa was not idle, he was patrolling around. Suddenly, he saw me, and a look of heartache appeared in his eyes. I smiled and looked at him. However, immediately afterwards, there wa s a loud "bang", and grandpa got angry. There was no smile on his face, replaced by a cold expression, scanning everyone. This slap on the table made the aunts and mother stop what they were doing and come over to pick up dishes for me. In an instant, grandpa's expression made a 360-degree change, and he became the warm look that everyone liked.
It hasn't been long since this happened, but I can only relieve my regret for myself through my grandpa's photos. Grandpa, you should still remember the little things that happened at home when I was in the third grade!
After grandpa passed away peacefully, my mother cried all day long. I understand how painful it was for my mother to lose her father. I also know that once a person dies, he cannot be resurrected, but I just want to see grandpa one last time and say to him in person: Grandpa, I love you!
Now, I opened the photo album and wanted to see my amiable grandfather, but the photo had already been soaked with tears.。
