萨比恩象征(Sabian symbols)
它的原理主要是根据新柏拉图主义，它的精神是The God of Hosts，是万王之王的意思。

马克(Marc Edmund Jones (October 1, 1888 - March 5, 1980)先生这位被誉为美国占星学之父，本身也是属于希伯来系统，在公元1926年有一位西班牙基督教徒以他可以被书叫做「生命之源」而获得启发。

到了公元1932年完成了整个理论架构后跟一位名字叫做Elsie Wheeler会通灵的小姐互相合作，当她手上拿到卡片时脑中所浮现的印象加以一一纪录在纸条上，一共有360条，每一条如同诗般地描述黄道360度上每一个度数涵义，而大功告成。

这位小姐是马克先生的学生。

Marc Edmund Jones将它取名为(Sabian Symbolism)。

他之所采用的Sabian这个字。

其实是因为Marc Edmund Jones曾经在1923年指导一班名叫Sabian Assembly的团体，后来他才发现原来在苏美人希伯来人巴比伦人秘教系统中，Sabian有他神秘的意涵，颇符合他发展的本意，因此,经过了23年的研究,重新修订出版了The Sabian Symbols in Astrlogy这本书，但是，注意的人很少，后来Dane Rudyar先生更将Sabian Symbol重新诠释，并且不断地在杂志上发表解说，因此，获的了世人的重视。

星图上每一个度数都会有一个象征，而每一个象征都能帮助我们迈向生命的秘密花园，每一个人都拥有一把钥匙，帮助我们在升华之前，必须要完成这实现真实性，就是我们存在的价值。

让我们举二个例子说明Sabian度数的象征。

金牛座16度代表年长教师对传统知识传承的无力。

这个度数的涵义是，虽在传达传统的知识上失败，然而却在传达革新知识上获得成功。

这个度数的人从事教育工作的比率很高，对构筑新颖的独立体系，也有很多人野心勃勃。

当面临危机、处理现实的生存问题时，容易发现过去传统的知识已不能再照本宣科的使用了。

从这个16度开始的5度，是确立个性的出发点，所以必须回到自己根本存在的原点。

创造性的能量虽然充足，其表现的具体方向尚未决定。

想获得大成果，仍属于摸索的阶段。

这个度数的人，如果毫不自觉的话，共会变成胡闹强索、我行我素的个性。

魔羯座17度象征受到压抑的女性，在裸体主义中发现心理的解放。

在身心完全均衡的观点土，现代人的生活方式，因为以往教导人把肉体和精神分离的宗教恶意的压抑，发觉到有被扭曲之处，因此而产生了许多的神经症。

可是，在这个度数中，为了使它重新回到原本正确的健康水平，而想要突破身心的一切压抑，放在判断事物之擦，则以身体确认的姿态，总之，就是不论任柯事，都要亲自看见、确认之后，才会相信的那一类型的人。

如果16度表示小孩纯真的健康，那么17度则暗示着大人渴望再度回归小孩一般的单纯之裸体生活方式的冲动，即想要从任何限制中逃出的愿望，具有对自由的渴求。
