Landing a dream job has never been easy, but at least in the past you knew that the person you had to move was a workmate. More recently, however, bosses are putting the duty of finding the most acceptable worker on the inhuman shoulders. AI systems can go through thousands of resumes(简历)much faster than a person or even a team of people can. What's more, programs have been invented to run video interviews, too.
While those who support such systems believe that this super useful hiring(雇用)method is the future, others fear that the systems have serious problems. Because AI systems use unfair information to learn how to choose people, the hiring process may actually be more unfair when AI is used. A recent example of this was Amazon's Al-hiring system, which automatically paid no attention to women because most technical workers were men.
Naturally, job searchers are trying anything they can to satisfy the AFs selection criteria (标准).Now, in South Korea, where a number of the top companies use AI for hiring, many job searchers attend special continuation schools to learn how to pass their AI interview.
Of course, many of the skills taught are nothing more than educated guesses. Without knowing exactly what each individual AT system looks fbr, knowing what to do to please it is very difficult. However, there are still some things you can try. For example,10 use industry-specific terms in your interview answers because AI often searches information for specific (特定的)key words. Another tip is to keep your resume's style simple. That way, the AI can search it more easily.
It seems our success could very well depend on the mysterious decision of a machine mind. It sounds unfair, and it may be. In the end, the power to either change the system itself or at
least make it work for you is in your hands as long as you make up your mind. 41. What does the underlined phrase'lnhuman shoulders" refer to?

D.They learn how to pass their Al interview.

Wildlife is a popular theme in photography. Every year, the Natural History Museum in London holds a contest for the Wildlife Photographer of the Year. Photographers from all over the world send in their best nature shots, hoping to be recognized.
Among 49,000 pictures received from more than 80 countries, Russian photographer Sergey Gorshkov's picture The Embrace(《拥抱》)was awarded Grand Title Winner in October 2020.
In the picture, rays of low winter sun highlight the ancient fir tree. A female tiger is hugging the tree, rubbing her cheek against the bark to leave her scent(气味)and mark her territory(地盘)in Leopard National Park in Russia.

Eastern Russia's tigers were hunted to near extinction in the last century. And with their prey(猎物)-mostly deer and wild boar-also decreasing, it means the animals have to travel vast distances to find food. These tigers can be found only in the Russian Far East, Northeast China and possibly North Korea.
“The remarkable sight of the tigress immersed(使浸没于)in her natural environment offers us hope, as recent reports suggest numbers are growing from dedicated conservation (保护)efforts," said Tim Littlewood, the Natural History Museum's executive director of science and a member of the judging panel.

Buddy or Friendship Benches(长椅)are needed because playgrounds can be lonely places sometimes. When a school places the bench, they teach a little lesson to the kids on how it is to be used. Then when a child sits on the bench, it sends out a message to others, “Hey, Pm alone right now and would welcome the company of others/ Kids in the playground see this and from their training, they see there is a fellow student in need. They are encouraged to come over and sit on the bench and make a new friend.
Benches like this have been around for a while now in many schools. But in Ireland, they are trying to do something different with them. This school in Cork in the south of Ireland is the 247th to get benches from a social organization called"Buddy Bench Ireland" that doesn't just provide schools with benches, but also runs special projects with trained child psychiatrists(精神病专家).They use the bench as a chance to start conversations about mental health. They talk about the importance of knowing
and understanding your feelings and those of others.
Judith Ashton, a co-fbunder of Buddy Bench Ireland said,“The children need to understand what the bench is about, what it means-friendship, understanding, listening to each other and the most important thing is that it's important to express feelings.
But do children really use the bench? It f s a matter of great public concern. Sinead Mcgilloway from Maynooth University did a research and said, “We found that 40% of the children told us that they had actually used the benches at the time of the study. And over 90% said that they would talk to a child if that child was sitting on the bench So, there's nothing to worry about.
Children's mental health and safety at school is a concern in many countries.
