(1) forget to do sth. “忘记要做某事”，to do所表达的动作没有发生
She forgot to call me.她忘记给我打电话了。

(2) forget doing sth. “忘记做过某事”，某事已经做过了
She forgot calling me, so she called me again.她忘记曾给我打过电话，所以又打了一回。
