Teaching steps:
Step One Review
On the board, draw stick figures of a boy and a girl.
Write the sentence “This is her mouth.” Off to the side and draw an arrow from the sentence to the mouth of the girl.
Draw arrows to the girl’s eyes. Write “These are her ____.
On the board.
T: These are her … (Ask some students to answer.) < Ss: eyes.> Then have Ss write “eyes” in the blank.
T: “What’s this?” The teacher draws an arrow from the sentences to the “mouth” “ears” “fingers” of the girl.
T: Who’s clever? < Ss to write it on the board. >
T: Give the presents of the good students.
The teacher point to each part asks students. (Ss say together.)
Step Two presentation
Shows the picture card and teach “teach” (Ss: teach)
T: Let’s practice the sound / t∫/. Look at my mouth and repeat.
T: / t∫/. < Ss: / t∫/. >
Do the same with others.
Have Ss look at the words and listen to the tape.
Play again and repeat.
Ask Ss to look at their pictures.
T: Touch your ears! Point to the picture. Touch your nose. (Point to the picture of the girl touching her nose.)
Give other commands and have Ss touch look at their books and play the tape once. (Listen first.)
L et’s chant sentences by sentences after the tape.
Play again and have Ss point to the pictures as they are chanted.
Chant together.
Step Three Practice
Listen and number.
