◆Teaching Difficult Points:
1.must和have to的用法
两者都是“必须”的意思,但他们并非完全相同。

Must侧重个人意志和主观上的必须,have to侧重客观上的必要;must只有一种形式,而have to则有多种形式,可用于各种时态。

如:
I know I must study hard.我知道我必须努力学习。

My grandma was ill, so I had to call the doctor in the middle of the night.
我奶奶病了,所以我不得不半夜里打电话给医生。

2.反身代词
反身代词即自身代词,表示“自己,本身,亲自”意义的词。

(1) 反身代词的结构
(2)反身代词的用法:
①作动词或介词的宾语。

Jane teaches herself English.
You must learn to look after yourselves.
②作主语或宾语的同位语。

I myself do not agree.
I want to ask Tom himself about it.
注:反身代词与某些动词连用时表某种特定的意义。

如:Help yourself to some meat.请随便吃些肉。

(1)hurry v./n. 赶快,匆忙。

in a hurry迅速。

Hurry常用于如下结构:hurry to do sth.
急忙做某事;hurry to+sp. 匆忙去某地。

如:
The kids hurried to open their presents.孩子们急忙打开礼物。

Hurry up! We’re going to be late.快点,我们要迟到了。

He had to leave in a hurry. 他不得不赶快离开了。

He hurried to school this morning. 今早他匆匆忙忙去了学校。

(2)question n. 问题,疑问,指较容易解决的问题及口头回答的问题。

如:
Can you answer this question? 你能回答这个问题吗?
【链接】problem棘手的问题,难题,困难,还可指逻辑题,数学题。

如:
The only problem is it’s a bit too big for our room.唯一的问题是对于我们的屋子来说,它太大了些。

No problem!没问题!
(3)spread v. 流传,传播。

如:
The use of computer spreads quickly during that period.在那个时期,计算机的应用迅速流传开来。

Spread sth. on sth. 把某物铺在某物上。

如:
Tom’s mother is spreading a cloth on the table.汤姆的妈妈正在给桌子铺上桌布。

(4)message n. 信息,音信。

leave a message (to sb.) 留言,留口信;take a message (for sb.)捎口信=give sb.
a message给某人带个口信。

Please take a message for him.= Please give him a message.请给他带个口信。

(5)duty n.责任,义务。

on duty值班,值日。

如:
It’s your duty as a parent to protect your children. 你作为家长有责任保护你的孩子。

Who’s on duty today?今天谁值班?
(6)Save v.
①救,挽救。

save one’s life救某人的命如:
A man saved his life a few years ago.几年前一个人救了他的命。

②节省。

save money/ time/water节省钱/时间/水
(7)hate v.不喜欢,讨厌,狠。

反义词为love,同义词为dislike。

如:
She hates the smell of smoke. 她讨厌烟味。

【拓展】hate to do sth. 和hate doing sth.意义无大差别,只是to do常表示具体的一次性动作,而doing常表示习惯性、经常性、一般性的动作。

这与like后接to do和doing的用法一样。

如:
I hate to trouble you.我真不愿意麻烦你。

She hates travelling by air.她讨厌坐飞机旅行。

【链接】hate与dislike相比都有“不喜欢,不愿意”的意思。

Hate表“憎恨,怨恨”,含有强烈的感情色彩,而dislike没有那种强烈的感情,只是不喜欢而已。

如:
I hate to do so much work every day.我讨厌每天做那么多的事情。

Tom dislikes going to the dentist.汤姆不喜欢看牙医。

教学反思:
在完成湘教版八年级上册第二单元第三个topic的教学中,通过对教材的理解我确立了以培养学生语言知识、应用能力、文化意识和学习策略为中心的教学目标,目标层层递进,并贴近生活,具有可实践性。

作为本单元的教学反思,我想谈谈自己在教学过程中比较满意的地方,以及自己的教学不足。

一、语法方面
虽然目前英语教学淡化语法的地位,但在实际操作过程中,这一部分不可或缺。

在本单元中,出现了情态动词及反身代词的用法,在口语运用方面,可以以模仿为主,但从处理习题以及帮助学生理解这种时态的角度考虑,我还是抽出了一堂课来专门练习含有反身代词及情态动词的句型的肯定,否定,一般疑问句和回答,特殊疑问句的专项训练,反复练习让学生有了条件反射的脱口而出这个句型,效果非常好。

后来在进行课文教学部分时,事实证明对教材内容的补充,特别是语法方面的补充,极大地帮助了学生对课文内容的理解,并在课后练习时对时态的运用也轻松很多。

二、口语交际方面
在平时的教学中,我十分重视听说训练,尝试让学生在口语运用中学会表达他们的个人意见,抒发个人情感。

因此,在第二单元中,功能话题是谈论如何保持身体健康,这与学生的生活息息相关,学生们都很有话说,只要引导得当,极易激发学生的兴趣,开展关于这一话题的讨论。

在准备上课时我主要从以下几个方面入手
1、向学生展示一些图片,比如他们比较感兴趣的但不很健康的食物、不卫生
的日常行为习惯及其相应引发的疾病,引导学生结合自己的实际生活习惯,针对什么才是良好的饮食及生活习惯发言。

有了良好的开端,课文的对话教学就顺畅了许多。

2、在教学Section C 1a,让学生分小组讨论对文中康康父亲的看法及如果自己是一名医生遇到相似的情况会怎么办时,学生一直在积极参与,而且能够比较准确地简单表达对人物的看法及自己的愿望和感情,超越了老师的想象,体现了他们丰富的想象力和创造力,取得了极佳的效果。

最令我高兴的是,在讨论发言中,同学们不仅较为到位地运用到了我们学过的重点句型,还积极表达了自己乐于助人、努力工作的想法,也在无形中实现了我们教学中的情感目标。

课后评析:
课堂上学生表现活跃,教师教学方法灵活,诱发学生思考并掌握知识。

通过此次教学活动,我深深感受到以下几点:
一,教师课堂习题的安排一定要精练,紧扣教学目的.习题的操作重质量而不重数量.
在section C中因为知识点比较凌乱,而且很多是考点,出了很多题反复练习。

其实效果并不是很好。

应该精细的把一道题让所有学生都听懂了,直到他们自己能针对相应的知识点出些简单的题并能自己讲解出来,效果会更好。

二,有些传统的东西,应该有取其精华的精神。

比如,跟读,仿读等.
三,除了课内知识、文段的讲解外,应再注意下课外知识的延伸,比如SARS发生在四五年前,对最近几年新出现的一些恶性流行性疾病,应引导学生加以大致的了解和讨论,使学生与社会更加接近。
