本单元的语言知识和语言技能基本上围绕这一内容展开的。
通过本单元的学习,要求学生掌握与舞台表演有关的词汇,了解喜剧这门艺术,以及喜剧在人们生活中的作用。
要求学生练习表演喜剧,能够用英语以e-mail形式介绍中国的传统喜剧表演形式——相声。
通过本单元的语言技能训练,要求学生学会使用正确得体的英语问问题和回答以下问题。
培养学生传承中国传统艺术形式,以开放的心态观赏借鉴外国优秀文化。
1.1Welcometothisunit该板块通过四张海报让学生讨论最有味的事,自己最喜爱的喜剧演员,以及什么原因人们喜爱趣事,从而引出笑有益健康的话题。
由三个开放性的问题引发讨论,既是一种读前热身,也是对本单元话题的一种导入,有利于激活学生已有的相关知识,激发学习兴趣,为接下来的阅读和后面的一系列活动做好铺垫。
1.2Reading包括:读前问题〔A〕,阅读材料本身(B)、紧跟在阅读文章后面的Readingstrategy和读后练习(C—F)。
A部分的三个问题,训练学生快速阅读技巧的同时,初步了解文章的主题内容。
B部分的阅读文介绍了西方特别流行的喜剧形式——滑稽剧及其种类、闻名喜剧明星比利·克里斯托和人们什么原因喜爱喜剧。

C1部分考查学生对文章细节内容的把握。

【语法】
1. 一般过去时表示在过去某个时间发生的动作或存在的状态,常与表示过去的时间短语连用。
其谓语动词用过去式来表达。
如:The students were at school yesterday. We played football last weekend.
2. 动词过去式的构成
1)be动词的过去式:am / is→was, are→were
2)行为动词过去式的规则变化:
①一般动词,在词尾直接加ed,如:look→look ed, work→work ed
②以不发音的e结尾的动词,直接加d,如:like→like d, live→live d
③以辅音字母+y结尾的动词,变y为i,再加ed,如:study→stud ied, cry→cr ied
④双写末尾字母,再加ed,如:stop→stop ped, plan→plan ned, shop→shop ped。
