Scene 1:
Mother is in the kitchen cooking dinner. Father comes in from work.
Father: Hi, honey. What's for dinner?
Mother: I'm making your favorite dish, spaghetti and meatballs.
Father: That sounds great. Thanks for cooking.
Mother: No problem. I know you work hard all day.
Son comes in from playing outside.
Son: Mom, can I have a snack?
Mother: Sure, what would you like?
Son: Can I have some chips?
Mother: How about some fruit instead?
Son: Okay, I'll have an apple.
Daughter comes in from her room.
Daughter: Mom, can you help me with my homework?
Mother: Of course. What do you need help with?
Daughter: I don't understand this math problem.
Mother: Let's take a look. (they work on the problem
together)。

Scene 2:
Everyone is sitting at the dinner table.
Father: This spaghetti is delicious.
Mother: Thank you. I'm glad you like it.
Son: Can I have more meatballs?

Daughter is getting ready for bed.

Daughter: Not yet.
Mother: Let's brush it together.
Father is reading a book in bed.
Mother: Are you ready for bed?
Father: Almost. I just need to finish this chapter.
Mother: Okay, don't stay up too late.

It's the weekend. The family is doing chores around the house.
Father is mowing the lawn.
Mother is doing laundry.
Son is sweeping the patio.
Daughter is dusting the furniture.

Son: (to Father) Can we play catch after we finish our chores?
Father: Sure, that sounds like fun.
Daughter: (to Mother) Can we bake cookies later?

The family is sitting on the couch watching a movie.
Father: This is a great movie.
Mother: I'm glad you like it.
Son: Can we watch another one after this?
Mother: It's getting late. We should all get ready for bed soon.
Daughter: (yawning) I'm getting sleepy.
Father: (to Mother) Thanks for taking care of us all week.
