Unit 3 Could you please clean your room?
Section A Period 1
1. 教学目标
能力目标:让学生在交际活动中,学会如何礼貌地提出请求、征求别人许可,重在培养学生的习得语言运用能力、实践能力、合作能力及创新意识。

情感目标:通过本单元的学习,使学生在家里主动帮助父母做家务,培养学生独立的性格、自理自立能力和乐于助人的品格。

知识目标:学习并掌握与家务相关的词汇及常用表达。

2. 教学重点
本节课是本单元的第一课时。

第一课时运用动词词组围绕家务展开话题,前半部分围绕话题学习与家务相关的短语,后半部分围绕做家务在家庭场景中进行问答,来学习情态动词could的用法。

在熟悉和操练各个动词词组的基础上通过各种各样活动的开展培养学生的综合语言应用能力。

在听力上涉及了家务相关的内容,为后面的语法学习铺垫。

学生对于fold、clothes等词的读音易错。

3. 教学难点
在生活实际情景中运用情态动词could表达礼貌地提出请求、征询别人许可及作答是本单元的语法难点。

【设计思路】
本节课每个设计环节都是围绕着教学目标开展。

首先导入话题,housework,chores,等让学生整体感知学习内容,引入情景。

通过检查课前预习的词汇,游戏抢答加深词汇的理解记忆。

接着展示给学生本节课的学习目标,教师预先提出问题,引入听力材料,学生独立回答后再通过小组合作来复述故事,讨论could 的用法,随后操练语法难点,把本课学习的词汇与语法结合,总结情态动词could 表达礼貌地提出请求、征询别人许可及作答,利用这一节课的所学内容,连句成篇,达到熟练运用。

Step 1 Warming-up
1.Create situations about daily life: ask students to clean the blackboard and turn
off the light.
2.Present “Could you please…?” Guide the students to ask with “Yes, I can”, “No
problem.” and “Sorry, I can’t.”
Step 2 Presentation
1. W atch the photos and talk about them “What does he do every day?’ an d
learn these phrases: do chores, do the dishes, make the bed, take out the rubbish, fold the clothes, do the laundry, clean the living room.
2. Look these phrases and practice the conversation: Could you please take out
the rubbi sh? Sure. / Sorry, I can’t. I have to finish homework first.
3. 1a Do you do these chores at home? Discuss them with your partner.
Step 3 Listening
Listen and finish Activity 1b: Who will do these chores? Check (√) Peter’ s mother or Peter.
Step 4 Reading
Ask the students to read through the conversation.
Step 5 Chain work
A: Could you please do the dishes, B?
B: Yes, sure. C, could you please...?
C: No problem. D, ...?
D: …
Step 6 Group work
Your head teacher is going to visit your home, so your family are going to clean up your house. Work in groups of four and talk about the chores you are going to do. And then make a report about it.
You may start your talk like this:
A: Mom, we need to clean the house. Our head teacher is coming over to talk about my study this afternoon.
B: Sure…
C: …
You may make a report like this:
My head teacher is coming over to talk about my study this afternoon, so my family are going to clean up my house. My father will... My mother wants to... My brother/sister would like to... And I will...
Step 7 Homework
Make a chore list. Do these chores and then write a short passage to describe what you did.。
