数词知识点梳理
一、基数词
定义：表示数目多少的数词叫基数词。

构成：
1~12：one，two，three，four，five，six，seven，eight，nine，ten，eleven，twelve。

13~19：在个位数后加teen，但13（thirteen）、15（fifteen）、18（eighteen）不规则。

20~99：先说“几十”，再说“几”，中间加连字符“-”。

例如：21（twenty-one）、34（thirty-four）等。

100以上：用hundred、thousand、million、billion等单位表达。

例如：100（one hundred）、1000（one thousand）等。

注意，这些单位在表示具体数目时不用复数，但在表示不确定数字时要用复数，如hundreds of（数百）。

用法
1.可作主语、宾语、表语、定语、同位语。

2.用于表示年级、班级、房间号、电话号码等时，开头字母要大写。

3.与单位hundred、thousand、million、billion连用时，若表示具体数目，则
这些单位用单数；若表示不具体数目，则用
“hundreds/thousands/millions/billions of+名词”结构。

二、序数词
定义：表示顺序先后的数词叫序数词。

构成
1~3：first，second，third。

其中second还可表示秒。

4~19：在基数词后加th，但fifth（第五）、eighth（第八）、ninth（第九）、twelfth（第十二）不规则。

20以上：整十数在基数词后去y加ie再加th，如twenty-twentieth（第二十）；
非整十数则在十位数和个位数之间用连字符“-”连接，如twenty-first（第二十一）。

100以上：整百数在基数词后加th，如hundredth（第一百）；其他数则按基数词读法，最后加序数词后缀。

用法
4.序数词主要用作定语，也可用作主语、宾语、表语和状语。

5.序数词前一般要加定冠词the，但在某些习语或已有形容词性物主代词、
名词所有格等情况下可省略。

6.序数词有时可与不定冠词a/an连用，表示“又一、再一”的意思。

7.序数词有缩写形式，为阿拉伯数字加上序数词的最后两个字母，如1st（first
的缩写）。

三、其他数词用法
分数：分子用基数词，分母用序数词。

分子是1时，分母可用a代替。

分子大于1时，分母要加s。

例如：1/3（one third或a third）、2/5（two fifths）。

小数：小数点前按基数词读法，小数点后按个位基数词依次读出，小数点读作point。

例如：0.6（nought point six或point six）、2.6（two point six）。

百分数：基数词+percent。

例如：100%（one hundred percent）、53%（fifty-three percent）。

倍数：表示倍数时，可用“倍数+as+形容词/副词原级+as”结构，也可用“倍数+the size/amount/length等+of”结构，还可用“by+倍数”表示增加多少倍。
