根据句意并分析句子结构可知, 此处应用as well as 连接the parts,与前面的the whole构成并列关系。

4. that success can be measured by money alone
解析:考查同位语从句。

分析句子结构可知, 这里要说明的是这个观点(idea)的具体内容, 故要用同位语从句。

注意同位语从句与笔语从句的区别:同位语从句与前面的名词是同位关系, 即解释说明它前面名词的内容;而定语从句与前面的名
词是修饰与被修饰的关系, 也就是限定了它前面名词的范围。

如:
The news that he has passed the driving test is true.他通过驾照考试的消息是真的。

The news that he told me just now is true.他刚才告诉我的消息是真的。

5. to read and write in English
解析:考查不定式作后置定语。

ability to do sth. “做某事的能力”, 为固定搭配, 再根据汉语提示可知。
