Meg
I love Meg for her being glad to impoverish for love, not enticed by the money. Meg is eager in a rich life, as she said she was “fond of luxury”, but she is hardworking and voluntary to work as nursery governess and earns small salary to release the family burden.

The Importance of Being Genuine
The last to mention is the importance of paying more attention to the inner spiritual self than to temporary, earthly conditions like wealth and impressive appearances. And the author incorporates this philosophy into stories of Meg and Amy.

The Necessity of Work
I discover the novel demonstrates the importance of the work ethic, which dictates that it is holy to do work. Between lines, the author ultimately recommends work not as a means to a material end, but rather as a means to the expression of inner goodness and creativity.

Fresh water color graduation

A strong, content, full of hope for the future of my four from the heroine's learned. The United States and Georgia, Joe, Beth, Amy them a strong, optimistic spirit of storage I heart. From their body, I learned how strong and learned how to be contented, but I can not satisfy the need to learn to always be full of hope for the future and try to chase the dream of optimism. I also learned to cherish the double-owned, and so on do not know who died lost their commendable. We found that everyone should be careful not to bring the advantages of the colored eye can only see other people's shortcomings . In Little Women, you will meet the March sisters,Meg,Jo,Beth & Amy who live with their mother,Marmee, and their maid Hannah, during the Civil War.The first half of the novel takes place while their father is away, serving in the war. Each sister has a distinct personality,a reader,an artist,a musician, the quiet one.You will get to know this family in touching little stories of their daily life. Each chapter seems to set up a moral lesson for the reader to learn. We also meet a wonderful set of neighbors, urence and his nephew "Laurie" who quickly find a place as part of the March family. The second half of the novel, focuses on the girls as they leave their childhood and begin their journey into adult life.Lessons of friendship, family, and love are covered as we join the characters through the ups and downs of life, good times and bad.It seems that Louisa May Alcott used her own family as the basis for the stories in Little Women, basing the character Jo on herself. It is amazing how though the book was written in the late 1800's,so many things about humans remain the same. The foundations of life that are important in friendships, family & love don't change through time,as Alcott has shared with us.This is a book that young and old can read and appreciate.。

Little WomenThis is a story about love, faith, fortitude, and devotion. The story of March happened in Massachusetts during the American Civil War.It includes most problems which probably happen in the growth of young girls, such as the problems in first love, friendship between teenagers and the gap between our dream and the reality.Meg March who is the oldest daughter in March’s is a pret ty and lovely girl, with large eyes and soft brown hair, and white hands. She is quite gentle and soft to everybody;even some haughty wealthy girls despise her and her families.Once, she was dreaming of falling in love with someone rich. However, with the growth of the age, she changes her view of the life and love, at last she stick to her affection in spite of living poorly.Jo March, the second daughter of Mrs.March, is my favorite character in this book. She is tall and thin. Her long, dark-red hair is usually pushed up out of the way, which is cut off for money, when they fall in troubles. She loves writing, dreaming of being a famous writer and making money to have her family live a better life. She is frank and sincere, but at the same time she is impetuous and easy to be angry. The only thing she never changed is her endless love to all of her families. She refused the next-door neighbor Laurie’s affection just because she misunderstood her sister Beth fall in love with that boy.She is such a vivid girl, that I’mmoved and impressed deeply by her steadfast determination which struggled for dreams.Beth March is a shy girl who seemed to live in a happy world of her own.She is good at playing piano, and she is a kindhearted person, just like her mother.I am enthusiastic about Beth owing to her gentle and doing anything without any complain, appreciating her good personal character which always considered for others.By a cruel irony of fate, little Beth was infected with the scarlet fever when she helped a poor family take care of their sick baby.Few years later, she died.Amy March is their youngest sister, who thought herself to be the most important in the family. When she was a little girl, she was capricious, and she always ignored her sisters’ instruction. With time going, she realized her responsibility for her families and herself. Finally, she becomes a grace woman with blue eyes, and yellow hair which curl on to he shoulders. She married Laurie, and shows her gifts on the art.Mrs.March is pretty a great mother.Even though they live a poor life, she still chooses to forgo a nice Christmas dinner and gives the food to the poorer family which is help needed.Because of her selfless love and strong faith, her daughters can face up to the hard life hopefully and confidently. Her attitudes toward the lives teach her daughters that there must be something more important and necessary than fortune and status, which will accompany them till the end of life.Maybe it is an ambitionhidden in the bottom of heart.Maybe it is a love they are to give or be given. From their point of view, home was not only the place which they grew up, but also a location avoided hardship. They heard their mother's education, using their skillful hands, bright brain to create a variety of games for the soul.As poor as these girls were, they all had the positive attitude to any matter.Relying on themselves was the common characteristic of the four girls and they always found their shortcomings and corrected them as soon as possible.Though their ideas werediverse, they had all found their own love. The author used neither magnificent nor boring words, showing us the great family love, friendship and love of human beings. It seemed that four sisters lived with individuals whom they loved and who love them was the happiest thing in life. From them I learnt strength, full of hope to future life and never giving up.Meg, Jo, Beth, Amy, their strong, optimistic spirit always emerge in my mind, their smile always be stored my heart.

The Danger of Gender Stereotyping
About gender and marriage, I want to mention Little Women questions the validity of gender stereotypes, both male and female. Therefore, Alcott bestows the highest esteem upon Jo and Laurie, who, in their refusal to embody gender stereotypes, willing to be themselves and finally find the one.

PART 2
My understanding of the growth of little women
1/5/2014
As a saying goes, there aren’t two same leaves in the world. The four girls’ different images in this book impressed me intensively. And the process of their growth kindled my thoughts about life attitude.
Little Women
Louisa May Alcott
PART 1
Some philosophy grasped from little women
1/5/2014
Women’s Struggle Between Familial Duty and Personal Growth
I find there is an emphasis on domestic duties and family detracts from various women’s abilities to attend to their own personal growth.
1/5/2014
The Necessity of Work
I discover the novel demonstrates the importance of the work ethic, which dictates that it is holy to do work. Between lines, the author ultimately recommends work not as a means to a material end, but rather as a means to the expression of inner goodness and creativity.
1/5/2014
Amy
I also love Amy for her strong desire, being keen to her faith and interests; she regards supporting the poor people as her own faith. She was interested in sketch and became a talent and professional drawer.
1/5/2014
Jo
I love Jo for her free and easy, likes her for the steadfast determination which she struggles for dream. She earns living expenses with aunt March and writes articles for the newspaper to gain the payment to increase the daily necessities to the family.
Meg
I love Meg for her being glad to impoverish for love, not enticed by the money. Meg is eager in a rich life, as she said she was “fond of luxury”, but she is hardworking and voluntary to work as nursery governess and earns small salary to release the family burden.
1/5/2014
Beth
I love Beth for her tranquil characteristic, doing anything without any complain. Like her good personal character which always considers for others, she loves music and feels shy with strangers, so she always does some housework with her mother at home. There are many Beths in the world, shy and quiet, sitting in corners till needed, and living for others so cheerfully that no one sees the sacrifices.
In addition, Jo’s personality likes boy, and she has a quick temper. Jo’s favorite is writing. I think this role is the author’s shadow and an ideal image of the new time woman as Louisa thought.
1/5/2014
The Importance of Being Genuine
The last to mention is the importance of paying more attention to the inner spiritual self than to temporary, earthly conditions like wealth and impressive appearances. And the author incorporates this philosophy into stories of Meg and Amy.

Thank You!
