Today i want to introduce you a film named___WALL-E.The story happened in a distant, but not so unrealistic future, where mankind has abandoned earth because it has become covered with trash from products sold by the powerful multi-national Buy N Large corporation.WALL-E, a garbage collecting robot has been left to clean up the mess.Mesmerized with trinkets of earth's history and show tunes,(2)WALL-E is alone on Earth except for a sprightly pet cockroach. One day, Eve, a sleek(and dangerous)re-connaissance robot, is sent to earth to find proof that life is once again sustainable.WALL-E falls in love with Eve.WALL-E rescues Eve from a dust storm and shows her a living plant he found amongst the rubble.Consistent with her “directive” Eve takes the plant and automatically enters a deactivated state except for a blinking green beacon.WALL-E, doesn't understand what has happened to his new friend, but true to his love, he protects her from wind, rain, and lightening, even as she is unresponsive. One day a massive ship comes to reclaim Eve, but WALL-E, out of love or loneliness hitches a ride on the outside of the ship to rescue Eve.The ship arrives back at a large space cruise ship, which is carrying all of the humans who evacuated earth 700 years earlier. The people of earth ride around this space resort on hovering chairs which give them a constant feed of TV and video chatting. They drink all of their meals through a straw out of laziness and/or bone loss, and are all so fat that they can barely move. When the auto-pilot computer, acting on hastily given instructions sent many centuries before, tries to prevent the people of earth from returning, by stealingthe plant, WALL-E, Eve, the portly captain, and a band of broken robots stage a mutiny. This is a very classic and touching movie, I hope the next part of the film left to your own enjoyment. Wall-ECan you imagine what the earth will be in the future? Some of us will give a wonderful picture of our future lives, but the movie named Wall-E gives us a contrary description. In the movie, the earth is covered with amount of rubbish, and the only residents are a robot named Wall-E and his pet.Wall-E is a kind of robot that is produced to clear the rubbish on the earth. He works day after day, and this kind of life lasts nearly 700 years. In this period of time, Wall-E gradually has self-awareness.And one day, Wall-E’s peaceful life is brok en by Eve, another robot from a spacecraft of human beings, whose mission is to find plants.Wall-E falls in love with Eve at first sight. When Eve finds the plant, she is taken away by the spacecraft.Wall-E gives up his job on the earth and leaves the earth with Eve.And then they come to the spacecraft where the human beings live on.The Captain McCrea who knows that there are plants on the earth wants to go back to the earth but AUTO, the real controller of the spacecraft, refuses to implement the order from Captain McCrea. To protect the plant, Eve and Wall-E have to fight against the followers of AUTO.And during the fight, the residents on the spacecraft begin to help each other and find the true meaning of human beings. In the end, human beings return their hometown---the earth. And Wall-E realizes his dream and joins his hands with Eve.This movie tells us a love story between robots. In real word, love is confined by a lot of things so when we find our love we will list many conditions.Contrasted with human’s love, lovebetween robots is pure and innocent. For example, when Eve become resting state, Wall-E protects her even though she doesn’t know at all and when the spacecraft takes her away, Wall-E goes with her without hesitation. They cannot communicate with each other, so Wall-E cannot express his feelings to Eve by words, but though his deeds, we can and Eve also can feel the love from Wall-E.Also, the movie warns us that we must protect ourearth right now.If we destroy the earth all the time, we will have to pay for our deeds.I love the movie very much even though there are not dialogues in most of the pared with action, words are so pale.In our life, sometimes we say too much but do so little. We say “love you”, but actually we love ourselves more t han love others. We say “try our best to protect the environment”, however, we still do something which is harmful to our earth. If human beings lost function of language, they would become more sincerely than now.

PresentationI’m going to introduce you a book named A Song of Ice and Fire.It is a series of epic fantasy novels written by American novelist and screenwriter George R.R.Martin.Martin began the first volume of the series, A Game of Thrones, in 1991.He published it in 1996.Martin gradually extended his originally intended trilogy to seven volumes, the fifth of which, A Dance with Dragons, took him five years to write before its publication in 2011.Martin's work on his sixth, The Winds of Winter, is still underway. The story of A Song of Ice and Fire takes place on the fictional continents Westeros and Eos, with a history of thousands of years. The point of view of each chapter in the story is a limited perspective of an aortment of characters that grows from nine, in the first, to thirty-one by the fifth of the novels.Three predominant stories interweave: a dynastic war among several families for control of Westeros;the rising threat of the dormant cold supernatural Others dwelling beyond an immense wall of ice on Westeros' northern border;and the ambition of Daenerys Targaryen, the exiled daughter of a king murdered in a civil war shortly before her birth, to return to Westeros with her fire-breathing dragons and claim her rightful throne.Martin defied the conventions of the high fantasy genre by drawing upon such historical events as the Wars of the Roses.A Song of Ice and Fire received favorable critique for its diverse portrayal of women and religion, and praise for favoring realism over magic in its battles and political intrigue. While the first novel contains nearly no magic at all, the prominence of magic grows within and beyond each novel to the next.Theaortment of disparate, subjective, and not always accurate points of view confronts the reader with a variety of perspectives on each of the other characters from one chapter to the next. The reader may not safely presume that a favorite prominent character will prevail, or even survive. When I just started reading the novels,I thought the members of Stark Family are the main characters. However,it turned out that I was wrong. Many of them have been dead by the fifth volume. It is exactly where the book attracts me.I think A Song of Ice and Fire is a good series of novels to share with you. That’sall, thank you. Life without limits &Cherish your everyday2、今晚回来除了写协会活动大纲,还要确定大致的演讲文本,视频一+视频二+马航(对于马航事件的感受)+力克胡哲(我的精神榜样)视频二中有用的话+视频一问题开头+自己的亲身经历、马航事件VOA(还要加上自己的感受,珍惜生活,要找资料翻译)+即使这些事情发生了,但是我们要坚强的活下去,引出力克胡哲的故事,播放视频+以视频二的一些话结尾。
BEC-higher presentation

I.Pricing Strategy1.the product itself: the cost of producing plus your expecting profit2.similar products, the rival firms: What are their prices? What are your product’s competitive advantages? In what aspect does your product superior to others? This can add extra value to your p r o d u c t.3.target customer: Whether they are wealthy or not? Can they afford the price?Ex: How to ensure that price levels for new products are set appropriately?○1 The first problem is who your target customers are. Their income, occupation, preference. ○2 Do market research to make sure whether your target customers can afford the price level. There are mainly four ways of doing market research: survey, telephone interview, observation and questionnaire.○3 Test your product in a small region. Find out how it sells, get the feedbacks of the customers. Decide whether to make any adjustment.II. Product PackageEx: The importance of packaging products appropriately○1 Traditionally, the purpose of packaging a product is to protect the product or to make it convenient for carrying, as some products are liquid or sticky.○2 Today, the package add value to the product, especially to the consumer goods. The package is the product’s first impression to the customer. They may judge the quality of the product by its package and decide whether to buy it or not. Sometimes, a gorgeous package is a symbol of identity, especially when the product serves as a gift or present.○3 You have to packaging your products appropriately so that your products can stand out from the crowd and be bought by the customers.III.DiversificationEx: The importance of product diversification to the success of a business.这时你可能对product diversification并不是很熟悉,可以举一些案例,比如, the case of coca-cola:despite of its regular cola, it produce diet cola for people who get diabetes or adiposity problems.
HowtoCreateaProductPresentation

HowtoCreateaProductPresentationHow to Create a Product PresentationOverview and Objective of the PresentationProduct presentations are an important part of selling your product to prospective customers. In many cases, this will be the customer's first introduction to your company and potentially your product. First impressions are critical. There are also times when it is important to sell your product to the people inside your company as well as investors. Proper preparation is vital to presenting your product in the best light possible. The objective of the product presentation is different depending upon the target audience and the presentation should be adjusted accordingly. It is important to know your audience and why they are interested enough to hear your presentation. Points to ConsiderBefore you even start building your presentation, be sure you know the following information:Objective/call to action - At the end of your product presentation you want something to happen, either you want a customer to move forward to evaluate your product, yourmanagement to buy into what you are doing with the product, your sales people eager to sell your product, or an investor or your management to provide additional funding of your product.Target audience - Who are you giving the presentation to?(Prospective customers, investors, management) What is their industry like right now? What are their needs and immediate concerns? What are their individual goals? Where is their pain?Orientation - How much does your audience know of your product and other similar products? What is special about the way this audience looks at your product? Do they have anypreconceived 事先看法notions? Are they looking at competitors? If so, which ones? What are their special interests? Target presenter - Who will be giving the presentation(you, sales person, company executive)? It is helpful to write the above information down before building the product presentation so that you can go back and review it if you get stuck on any given point. You will want to refer to it later to make sure the presentation meets the objective and you will also need it for doing practice runs.Once you have your basic product presentation, it can be modified for other presenters and other audiences, but it is important to have a target audience and a target objective when building the initial presentation. Failure to do so can result in a presentation that doesn't speak to the audience and one that is not focused on their needs.Outline of the Product PresentationThe following is a basic outline for a product presentation. You will note that the maximum number of slides is twenty. Most sales calls allow 30 minutes for the formal presentation, at two minutes a slide, fifteen slides is the appropriate number. It is important to keep your presentation precise otherwise your point will be drowned out in detail.1)Introduction - This is normally just a title slide where the speaker introduces themselves, and the point of the product presentation. This is where you want to hook your audience and tell them what is in it for them. If you are not going to be giving the presentation you may want to have a note slide with the point on it. (1-2 slides)2)Agenda - An agenda is optional, but provides you with an opportunity to tell your audience what you are going to cover in your presentation. It avoids people asking questions early in the presentation about material you will be covering later. (1 slide)3)Company Information - This is a way to establish credibility and to make the audience feel comfortable with your company. Ways to do this include customer lists, high-profile executives or advisors, information on funding (if a private company), awards and major milestones. Don't spend too much time on this, you don't want your audience falling asleep. In fact, in my more recent presentations I have moved this to the back, after I have the audience's attention.4)Positioning - Successful products have a unique technology or positioning that sets them apart from other products on the market. You want to introduce this aspect of your product up front to let your audience know how your product is different and why they should listen to the rest of your presentation. Use this as an attention getter. This should be done in terms of theproblem that they have and that you are solving with your product. Be sure to present this in terms of your audience and their pain. Performing a positioning exercise prior to building your presentation is very helpful. This part of your presentation must be very crisp and to the point. (1-5 slides)5)Product description - Clearly describe your product in terms that your audience will understand. It may be helpful to have a chart with the product components. You want to give the audience a frame of reference for the features and benefits that they are going to see. You also want them to know how your product fits into their existing environment. Show how the product interfaces with other products or systems they may be using. (1-2 slides)6)Clearly articulated benefits as they relate to your target audience - You can use a features and benefits list or just walk through the features and benefits. Whatever you do, do not forget the benefits! They may be obvious to you because you live and breath the product, but your audience should have them clearly called out and they must relate to their needs. (1- 5 slides)7)Examples/successes - At this point in the presentation your audience should be familiar with your product and why it is different and better. In order to drive this point home use examples of how your product is being used and how customers have benefited from the product. (1-3 slides)8)Closing argument - This is your opportunity for a 'call to action'. You want summarize your product presentation, reiterate the point of the presentation, and ask your audience to do something, if that is the point of your presentation.Other Important PointsUse ExamplesUse examples whenever possible. Examples help to illustrate your points and provide a frame of reference for those people in your audience that don't already have one.SimplifyKeep slides as simple as possible. Lots of text on a slide makes it difficult to read and it loses its impact. Make sure the slides will be readable from the back of the room. If you are not giving the presentation, you may feel compelled to add more text to the slides - provide speaker's notes instead. If you are using PowerPoint, don't get carried away with colors and many different transitions. Pick a format and stick with it so that you don't draw attention away from your subject. One of the most effective presentations that I ever saw was done with a single clip art picture in the middle of each slide. The picture makes a point without drawing attention away from the speaker.Easy-to-Read FontsA san-serif font (a font that does not have the little lines at the top and bottom, as in the headings of this document) is easier to read for bullets on slides.StyleA presentation that uses the default PowerPoint fonts and lots of different primary colors looks like a presentation that was slapped together with little thought. Not everyone is a graphic artist, but you can learn some basic principles and apply them to your slides. Below are a few key points, but be sure to read Robin William's TheNon-Designer's Design Book for more tips.Use a presentation template and then use the colors from the template (or ones in the same family) for all charts and graphs. Use alignment carefully. If your template is left or right aligned, use that alignment throughout the presentation.Remove harsh lines. Powerpoint always puts a dark line around any box that you draw. These lines make the drawings look crude and harsh. By removing the lines your eye focuses more on thecontent of the box rather than the boxes themselves. Additional lines and arrows don't have to be dark either, try making them thicker and lighter so that they don't draw attention away from the point of the slide.Provide Speaker's NotesIn order to keep the bullets on your slides concise; you may want to consider providing speaker notes to people that may be giving your presentation. If you do provide speakers notes, keep them short and concise and use bullets to make it easy toread. Remember that the more text you put on the speaker's notes, the less likely the speaker is to read it before the presentation. I can't tell you how many times I have seen a presentation where the speaker says, 'I think this slide is trying to say...'. Both the speaker and the marketing group that provides the presentation look bad.If you are using PowerPoint, print the slides with the speaker's notes so that the presenter does not get the notes out of sync with the presentation.Provide HandoutsYou will probably handout copies of the slides. It is always nice to print the slides in a format where there is room for the audience to take notes. You may want to use handouts in addition to providing copies of the slides. Often, to keep slides simple, you may compromise the ability for the viewer to use it as a reference later or you may have charts or back-up information that has too much detail to include in your presentation. In these cases it may help to include handouts and refer to them during your presentation.Use Themes for Group PresentationsIf there are a group of people presenting it is helpful to use a theme and weave it throughout all the presentations. This provides a sense of cohesiveness to the entire presentation.A good agenda is an important part of group presentations. You want to introduce all the speakers and let the audience know the topic each speaker will be discussing.Mark ConfidentialIf the presentation is confidential, don't forget to mark it confidential. Slides often get copied at customer sites and can easily end up in your competitors' hands. When You are the PresenterPractice your presentation. No one ever has the time to do it, but even if you are used to winging presentations, the following are the benefits of practice:1)Your pitch will be more powerful, polished, and professional2)You are more likely to accomplish your objective3)You look betterThere is nothing worse then watching a presenter bring up a slide and then try to interpret it as if this is the first time they are seeing it. The slides are to support your presentation. I will often give the presentation to a practice audience within the company first before giving it to an external audience. You will get some great suggestions from people who have a slightly different perspective. This is especially true if you can give your pitch to a different department. I have found that giving a product presentation to the engineering group will provide some great insights. Before you give your presentation to a practice audience, be sure to go over the "Points to Consider" above with your audience so that they understand your objective, target audience, and that target audience's perspective. Additionally you should add slides that talk specifically to your audience. Identify the issues and problems that they are dealing with or tell them about how their competition is doing something. Then show them how your product will provide them with a competitive advantage.Other helpful hints:Use gestures to make things visual and clear.Use an expressive voice to emphasize points and show your enthusiasm for your product.Always stand, even when you are talking to a small audience. Standing projects more energy.Use highlights or colors on charts to emphasize an important point. (Though don't over use this, and don't use red unless you want to set off alarms.)Use controversy - It is sometimes useful to start your presentation with a controversial statement to grab your audience's attention.Use metaphors to help with visualization.Make sure you have a smooth verbal transition between slides for a very polished presentation. (This is where the practice really pays off.)。
Presentation

Good morning, everyone. It’s my pleasure to introduce my hometown, especially as the first to eat crab [kræb]. Have you ever heard of the tower [ˈtauə]? Yes, it’s Yellow Crane [krein] Tower . (Chinese: 黄鹤楼). It is a famous and historic [hisˈtɔrik] tower, and built in the year 223 AD. The tower is the landmark in Hubei province [ˈprɔvins]. Yes, I come from Hubei. At first, I will give an overview [ˈəʊvəˌvju:] of Hubei. Hubei province, with a population of 60 million, is located [ləʊˈkeɪtɪd] in the middle reaches of the Yangtze river, and to the north of dongting lake, with Wuhan as the provincial [prəˈvɪnʃəl] capital[ ˈkæpitl], and Qichun as my birthplace. Hubei covers an area of over 180,000 square kilometers with over 12 prefecture [ˈpri:fektʃuə] -level city, and 102 counties. It is well known as “a thoroughfare [ˈθɜ:rəʊˌfeə] of 9 provinces(Chinese:九省通衢)”for i ts networks of transportation by air, water, highway and railway.Hubei is the birthplace for Chu culture. Chu culture is a highly developed and unique [ju:ˈni:k] style regional culture in south china from the eastern Zhou period to the end of the Qin dynasty [ˈdainəsti].it reaches a fairly high level in many aspects [ˈæspekt] like bronze [brɔnz] casting, handicraft [ˈhændi:ˌkræft] industry, porcelain [ˈpɔ:slin], music, literature [ˈlitəritʃə] and painting, and so on.Hubei, known as”the province with a thousand lakes”and “the land of fish and rice”, is one of the major areas in China to produce rice, cotton, oil and fish. With its solid [ˈsɔlid] industrial foundations, Hubei has a system of modern industry. Its main industries includes electricity, metallurgy [ˈmetlˌɜ:dʒi:], machinery, electronic [ɪlɛkˈtrɑnɪk] information, and so on.The economy of Hubei province is in rapid development in recent years, and will obtain new opportunities [ˌɔpəˈtju:niti] in future..Higher education level of Hubei province is in the front of whole country, the number of college students is 1.3 million, of which more than 1.05 million in wuhan. When you come to a new city, maybe you are most concerned about the local [ˈləukəl] diet, so I focused on catering [ˈkeɪtərɪŋ] culture. Hubei cuisine [kwɪˈzi:n] composed[kəmˈpəuz] of three kinds of local dishes from Wuhan, Jingzhou and Huangzhou. Hot-and-dry noodles is the best choice for breakfast in Wuhan. Wuchang fish, that is produced in the vicinity [viˈsiniti] of Wuchang, as early as 1,700 years ago in the Three Kingdoms period, has been well known in north-south river. Chairman Mao Zedong said, "Having had water in Changsha, now I am having fish in Wuchang". The famous poem was published, so Wuchang fish is even more famousin world. At last, I will give an introduction about my birthplace.Qichun County (Chinese: 蕲春县) is a county of Huanggang, Hubei.Qichun County is the birthplace of famous herbalist [ˈhɜ:bəlɪst] Li Shizhen, who was born and lived in Qizhou town, on the southern edge of the County, alongside the Yangtze River. In turn, Qichun is a major center of the herbal industry in China.Four local specialties [ˈspeʃəlti:] of Qichun are Ay Tsao, bamboo, turtle [ˈtə:tl] and snake, and they are called The four treasures in Qichun. They have good medicinal [mɪˈdɪsənəl] value in traditional Chinese medicine. All of the above is my hometown.Thank you for your attention.。

OK,GO TO WORK NOW!GOOD LUCK!1899 -1909 Foundation and SurvivalGamper, the founder, conceived a sports club in Barcelona, with assistance from Catalans and foreignersFC Barcelona, founded in 1899 by a group of young foreigners living in Barcelona, was the result of the increasing popularity of football, and other British sports, across Europe. These origins have conferred upon the Club its intercultural identity, multi-sport focus and its deeply-rooted allegiance to Barcelona and Catalonia. The foundation of the Club coincided with a time when people were becoming interested in playing sport in Catalonia; this social context and Catalonia’s idiosyncratic culture led to the creation of a new model of modern leisure.Joan Gamper, the Club’s founder, was the inspiration and driving force behind the Club’s first 25 years. His commitment to FC Barcelona went far beyond his role as player, director and president.1996-2008 A centenarian clubA hundred years of emotionFew organisations reach their one hundredth anniversary, for doing so requires consistence and continuity. The aim of FC Barcelona's centenary was to celebrate the link between a glorious past and new hope for the future. The commemorative events saw an outpouring of Barça sentiment, and offered an emotional opportunity to spend a year looking back at the Club's proud history. Several important personages from Catalan culture were involved, as did the media and several major organisations. Famous artist Antoni Tàpies designed the official Centenary poster, thus adding his name to list of internationally renowned artists and writers that have helped aggrandise FC Barcelona's symbolic universe over the years. The 1998-99 season, that of the Centenary celebrations, was also historic because of the many sporting achievements: all four of the Club's professional sections (Football, Basketball, Handball and Roller Hockey) won their respective league titles. In 2003, newly elected president Joan Laporta brought with him a young and dynamic generation of directors who totally changed the Club's image. His priority was to make it possible for the club's sporting successes to have a knock-on effect on the more social aspects of the Club. The following years were spectacular in many ways: there was sporting success, an exponential increase in membership, economic progress that situated the Club among the world's elite and an unprecedented focus on charity projects that was culminated with Barça's collaboration agreement with Unicef in 2006, which projects Barça's caring image around the world, thus definitively globalising the notion of being "more than a club".The most long-awaited victory of all, the second European Cup title, came thanks to a team led by Ronaldinho, much to the delight of the fans, who were once again dreaming big after winning two consecutive league titles.2008-2011 The best years in our historyBarça stuns the worldUnder Josep Guardiola, the team improved even further. Playing with the same style that Cruyff had introduced, Guardiola was a firm supporter of basing his team around the club's own youth system and promoted several young talents to the first team, and the result was the greatest Barça team ever. The greatest international recognition of this came when the FIFA Ballon d'Or nominations in 2010 shortlisted Xavi, Iniesta and Messi for the honour, all three of whom had grown up at La Masia, the residence where young sportspeople of all ages are trained and educated. This team was the culmination of everything that FC Barcelona stands for, and produced an amazing string of major titles, including two Champions Leagues and three Spanish Leagues, plus the long-awaited Clubs World Cup, which was finally won in 2009, that extraordinary year when Barcelona won all six major trophies, something unprecedented in the history of European football.Barça broke all kinds of records, played memorable matches and won just about every title on offer. But the finest hour for Guardiola's side came at Wembley, when the world was enchanted by the kind of football that dreams are made of. The world's press bestowed praise on this extraordinary side that had written one of the most incredible chapters in the history of the game. But it wasn't just the football team that was collecting honours. The basketball, handball and roller hockey teams also won further European titles, and the futsal team won the League for the first time ever. That latest conquest meant that the Club set a new record in 2010-11 by winning 16 professional titles. Never before had FC Barcelona won so much silverware in a single season.2010. International recognition of La MasiaAll three places on the podium were to be taken by players produced at La Masia. The journalists, coaches and captains that had named the trio thus showed their admiration for the amazing Barça style. It was the first time all three candidates had been produced by the same club, and was fine recognition for everything that is done at La Masia. Three terrific players, who had been trained not just to play great football but also to show effort and humility and to respect fair play, were officially accredited as the three best players in the world for 2010.2011. Barça and Guardiola win fourth European Cup at WembleyThe venue was the new Wembley, the same place where they had won their first title in 1992 under Johan Cruyff, so there was added symbolism for the occasion. After winning a difficult and very high profile semi final with Real Madrid, Barça faced Manchester United in the final, the same team they had beaten two years earlier in Rome. Barça were by far the better team and cruised to a 3-1 win with one goal from each of the strikers: Pedro, Messi and Villa. It was an exhibition unlike anything seen before in a European final. The whole world watched in awe and the press was unanimous in its praise for the incredible Barcelona team.。

As a child, my fascination with LEGO began with a simple 10-piece set. The colorful, interlocking plastic bricks were more than just toys; they were the building blocks of my imagination. Each brick represented a piece of a puzzle, waiting to be assembled into something grand and creative. The first time I held a LEGO set in my hands, I was captivated by the potential it held. The instruction manual was a roadmap to a world of possibilities, guiding me step by step to build a model that was both functional and aesthetically pleasing. The satisfaction of completing a model was immense, and it was a feeling that I craved with each new set.Over the years, my collection grew, and so did my skills. I learned to follow instructions carefully, but also to deviate from them, experimenting with different combinations and designs. LEGO taught me about patience, as sometimes the process of building could be tedious, especially when working on intricate or large-scale models. But the end result was always worth the effort. One of my favorite aspects of LEGO is the community it fosters. There are countless enthusiasts around the world who share a passion for these bricks. I've met friends through LEGO clubs and online forums, where we exchange ideas, share our creations, and even collaborate on projects. It's atestament to the power of LEGO to bring people together. As I grew older, my love for LEGO didn't wane. Instead, it evolved. I began to appreciate the craftsmanship and engineering that goes into each piece. I marveled at the precision with which they fit together and the durabilitythat has made LEGO a household name for decades.Building with LEGO is not just a hobby; it's an art form. It allows for endless creativity and expression. It's a way to learn about architecture, engineering, and design in a hands-on, tangible way. And most importantly, it's fun. The joy of building with LEGO is universal, transcending age and borders, and it's a joy that I hope to share with others for manyyears to come.。

Ladies and Gentlemen,Good morning/afternoon. It is an honor to stand before you today toshare with you the story of a company that has been built on the foundation of creativity, innovation, and the boundless power of imagination. I am speaking of the LEGO Group, a name that has become synonymous with fun, learning, and the joy of building.Allow me to take you on a brief journey through the history of LEGO,from its humble beginnings to its current status as a global leader in the toy industry. The Genesis of LEGOThe LEGO Group was founded in 1932 by Ole Kirk Christiansen in Billund, Denmark. Ole, a carpenter by trade, saw the potential in the simple plastic brick that could be connected and reconnected in countless ways. He named his company LEGO, whi ch is derived from the Danish words “leg godt,” meaning “play well.”Ole’s vision was to create toys that were not only entertaining butalso educational. He believed that play was a fundamental part of human development, and that by encouraging children to build and create, they could learn about the world around them. The Evolution of LEGOOver the years, LEGO has evolved from a small Danish toy company to a global brand that is recognized and loved by people of all ages. The iconic brick has remained unchanged in its basic design, but the variety and complexity of sets have expanded exponentially. In the 1950s, LEGO introduced the first set of interlocking bricks, which allowed children to build anything they could imagine. The 1960s saw the introduction of minifigures, which added a new layer of storytelling to the building experience. The 1970s brought us the first theme-based sets, including Space, Castle, and Town.As the years went by, LEGO continued to innovate, introducing new materials, technologies, and themes. The 1980s saw the rise of Star Wars, while the 1990s brought us Harry Potter and Batman. Today, LEGO offers sets inspired by everything from classic movies to the latest video games. The Power of ImaginationWhat makes LEGO so special is not just the quality of the bricks or the variety of themes, but the power of imagination that they inspire. LEGO sets are not just toys; they are tools for creativity and learning.Children who play with LEGO develop critical thinking skills, problem-solving abilities, and spatial awareness. They learn to plan and execute projects, and they gain a sense of accomplishment from their creations. As adults, we often forget the joy of building and the sense of wonder that comes from creating something new.LEGO ha s also become a platform for storytelling. Whether it’s building a city, a spaceship, or a medieval castle, children can create stories and adventures that come to life in their minds. This ability to bring imagination to reality is what sets LEGO apart from other toys.LEGO in the Digital AgeIn recent years, LEGO has embraced the digital age, expanding its reach and engaging new audiences. The LEGO Video Game series has become a global phenomenon, allowing players to explore virtual worlds and build their own creations in interactive environments.LEGO also offers online communities where builders can share their ideas and creations with others. These communities are a testament to the power of LEGO to bring people together and foster a sense of connection and shared purpose. The Future of LEGOLooking to the future, LEGO continues to innovate and adapt to the changing world. The company is investing in new technologies, such as 3D printing, which will allow for even more complex and personalized builds. LEGO is also focusing on sustainability, using recycled materials and reducing its carbon footprint. But perhaps the most exciting development is the potential for LEGO to impact education and social good. The LEGO Foundation, a separate entity from the LEGO Group, is dedicated to promoting play-based learning and empowering children to build a better future.ConclusionIn conclusion, the LEGO Group is more than just a toy company; it is a symbol of the power of imagination and the potential of play. From its humble beginnings in Denmark to its global reach today, LEGO has shown that creativity and innovation can inspire generations and make the world a better place. As we continue to build and create, let us remember the words of Ole Kirk Christiansen: “Only play is the free expression of what is in the child’s soul.” Thank you for joining me on this LEGO odyssey, and let us all continue to play well.Thank you.。

Optimus Prime, leader of the benevolent Autobots, narrates the collapse of the Transformers' home world, Cybertron. It was destroyed by war between the Autobots and the malevolent Decepticons, lead by Megatron in his quest to get hold of the All Spark. The Autobots want to find the All Spark so they can use it to rebuild Cybertron and end the war, while the Decepticons want to use it to defeat the Autobots and take over the universe. Megatron had managed to locate the All Spark on Earth, but crash-landed in the Arctic Circle and froze in the ice. After stumbling upon his frozen body in 1897, explorer Captain Archibald Witwicky accidentally activated Megatron's navigational system and his eye glasses were imprinted with the coordinates of the All Spark's location, an incident that left him blind and mentally unstable. Sector 7, a secret government organization created by President Herbert Hoover, discovered the All Spark in the Colorado River and built the Hoover Dam around it to mask its energy emissions. The still-frozen Megatron was moved into this facility and was used to advance human technology through reverse engineering. In the present day, the Decepticon known as Blackout arrives in a U.S. military base in Qatar to find the location of Megatron and the AllSpark. He tries to hack into the files of the computer base, but is stopped by Captain William Lennox and his team. Back in the United States, Captain Witwicky's descendant Sam Witwicky buys his first car which turns out to be the Autobot scout Bumblebee and helps him woo his crush Mikaela Banes. Later, Sam catches a glimpse of Bumblebee's true form when he signals the other Autobots. On Air Force One, another Decepticon named Frenzy infiltrates the plane and tries to hack into the network again, only this time is more successful until he is stopped by the US Security Defense before he can retrieve all of the file information. Frenzy is then picked up by his partner Barricade and they go after Sam after learning he has the glasses needed to find the AllSpark. Sam is rescued by Bumblebee and Mikaela also learns of the Transformers' existence. Bumblebee fights Barricade and manages to subdue him while Sam and Mikaela decapitate Frenzy, but he still survives.Meanwhile, Scorponok, who was sent by Blackout, goes after Captain Lennox and his team, murdering one of them and injuring another. During the battle, Scorponok is forced to retreat when he gets injured by sabot rounds dropped him by the Air Force. Sam and Mikaela soon meet Optimus Prime and his other Autobot partners Jazz, Ironhide, and Ratchet. They explain their origins to the two humans and insist on the urgency to get to the Allspark first before the Decepticons, knowing that the Decepticons plan to use it to turn all of Earth's technologies into a new army of Transformers and render humanity extinct. The Autobots bring the two humans back to Sam's house to find the glasses, and they nearly reveal their existence to Sam's parents. However, Sector 7 agent Seymour Simmons and his team find Sam and take his family away to a classified location after learning Sam came into contact with the Autobots. However, Sam and Mikaela are rescued by Optimus and the Autobots, but Bumblebee ends up getting captured. The Autobots get the glasses and use them to find the AllSpark's location so they can destroy it so the Decepticons cannot get to it. Sam and Mikaelaalong with two hackers named Maggie and Glenn arrive at the Hoover Dam, where Maggie and Glenn got arrested by the FBI for trying to decipher the information Frenzy stole.Frenzy finds the AllSpark and gets his body back, then contacts the other Decepticons, Starscream, Bonecrusher, Soundwave, Brawl, Barricade, and Blackout. Starscream attacks the dam and Frenzy frees Megatron from his frozen prison, where he joins his cohorts into chasing down Sam and the Autobots, where Bumblebee has shrunk the cube to a reasonable size. They then get to Mission City, where a large battle ensues. Working together, the Autobots and human soldiers manage to bring down Bonecrusher, Blackout, Brawl. However the war caused Bumblebee to get crippled, and Jazz is killed by Megatron.Soon, it is up to Sam to decide Earth's fate. Optimus urges Sam to put the AllSpark in his chest, which will destroy them both, but Sam instead inserts the cube into Megatron's chest, which kills him and destroys the AllSpark. All of the dead Transformer bodies are dumped into the Mariana Trench at Atlantic Ocean to be hidden, Sector 7 gets closed down by the President of the United States, and the Witwicky family are released from custody.Sam and Mikaela soon start a new relationship, and the film ends with Optimus Prime saying that the Autobots' fates have given them a new home: "Earth", and sends a message to all surviving Autobots to arrive on Earth.During the credits, Starscream is shown escaping into space.。

Unit7ProductPresentation

Unit7ProductPresentationUnit 7Product PresentationCreating a Product PresentationA product presentation is an important part of selling a product to prospective customers. In many cases, this will be the customer’s first introduction to your product and potentially your company. Proper preparation is vital to presenting your product in the best light possible.ObjectiveThe objective of the product presentation is different depending upon the target audience and the presentation should be adjusted accordingly. It is important to know your audience and why they are interested in listening to your presentation.Points to considerBefore you start building your presentation, be sure to know the following information:Objective-----What’s the purpose of your presentation? Is it to inform, persuade, or entertain?Target audience---Who are you giving the presentation to? What are their needs and immediate concerns? What are their individual goals?Target presenter---Who will be giving the presentation? Yourself, a salesperson, or a company executive? It is important to have target audience and a target objective when building the initial presentation. Failure to do so can result in a presentation that doesn’t speak to the audience and one that is not focused on their needs.OutlineIt is important to keep your presentation concise otherwise your point will be drowned out in detail. The following is a basic outline for a product presentation.Introduction----introduce yourself and the main points to be covered by the product presentation. This is where you want to attract your audience and tell them what is in it for them.Positioning----Successful product has a unique technology or positioning that sets them apart from other products on the market. You are supposed to introduce this aspect of your product so as to let your audience know how your product is different and why they should listen to the rest of your presentation. Use this as an attention getter.Product description---Clearly describe your product in terms that your audience will understand. It may be helpful to have a chart showing the produ ct’s components. You’d better give the audience a frame of reference for the features and benefits that they are going to see. Show how the product interfaces with other products or systems they may be using.Examples/successes---At this point in the presentation your audience should be familiar with your product and why it is different from and/or better than other similar products on the market. In order to drive this point home, use examples of how your product is being used and how customers have benefited or will benefit from theproduct.Closing argument---This is your opportunity for a “call to action”. You should summarize your presentation, reiterate the points of the presentation, and ask your audience to dosomething, if that is the purpose of your presentation. Before the PresentationPractice your presentation. There is nothing worse than watching a presenter bring upa slide and then try to interpret it as if this is the first time he/she is seeing it. Give thepresentation to a practice audience within the company first before giving it to an external audience. You will get some great suggestions from people who have aslightly different perspective.Other Helpful HintsUse gestures to make things visual and clear.Use an expressive voice to emphasize points and show your enthusiasm for your product.Always stand, even when you are talking to a small audience.Use highlights or colors to emphasize important points.Use controversy---It is sometimes useful to start your presentation with a controversial statement to grab your audience’s attention.Use metaphors to help with visualization.Make sure you have a smooth verbal transition between slides for a very polished presentation.Part IWarm-up1. Work in pairs. Look at the picture of a digital camera. What might you like to know about it before purchase? And what would you ask the salesperson to find the related information? What is the size of the product? How many colors does it come in?How heavy is it?What are the main features of it?How much does it cost? How long is the warranty?Part IIListening and SpeakingTask 1 An introduction to Honda ASIMO robot1. brick记忆方法

LEGO considers rental scheme

LEGO considers rental scheme
LEGO is considering a brick rental scheme in an attempt to cut down on plastic waste. The Danish toy maker has promised to make all its bricks from sustainable(可持续的) sources by 2030 and is searching for significant resources into finding alternatives.Tim Brooks, vice president responsible for sustainability, said the company was “totally open” to the idea of a produce rental s cheme but acknowledged that lost pieces could be a significant problem. He said the rental scheme was “possible” but admitted that there were some “technical barriers”, one of which is the complexity of some LEGO sets, many of which contain thousands of pi eces.“What are the chances of giving them to an eight⁃year⁃old child and getting them all backagain?” Mr Brooks added.LEGO has come under increasing pressure to reduce its carbon footprint with growing international alarm about the impact of plastic waste on the environment. LEGO reportedly gives off around a million tons of carbon dioxide each year, with about three quarters coming from raw materials that go into factories. It produces 19 billion pieces per year 36,000 a minute that are made of plastic and much of the inner packaging is also plastic. So far, the only breakthrough has been the development of a line of bricks made from plant⁃based plastic sourced from sugar cane(甘蔗). The green trees, plants and flowers were first included in LEGO sets late last year but account for only one?two percent of the total amount of plastic elements produced.Henrik Ostergaard Nielson, a production administrator in LEGOs factory, told The New York Times last year,“We need to learn again how to do this.” The company has invested (1BF) more than 欧元100,000,000 and hired 100 people to research non⁃plastic alternatives. It is aiming to keep all of its packaging reusable by 2025.[Reading][Check]1. What is the aim of LEGOs brick rental plan?A. To cut down on their cost.B. To reduce plastic waste.C. To seek alternative resources.D. To deal with technical barriers.2. What is Tim Brooks attitude towards the toy rental scheme?A. Negative.B. Confident.C. Ambiguous.D. Objective.3. What method is used in the last two paragraphs?A. Listing data.B. Making comparisons.С. Giving examples.D. Describing scenes.4. What can we know from the last paragraph?A. LEGO will not make new products after 2025.B. LEGO has already introduced non⁃plastic alternatives.C. LEGO is making efforts for eco⁃friendly products.D. LEGOs green technology is relatively backward.[Language][Study]Difficult sentenceHe said the rental scheme was “possible” but admitted that there were some “technical barriers”, one of which is the complexity of some LEGO sets, many of which contain thousands of pieces.

Background
• The very premise of digital signal processing is the coexistence of a time domain and a frequency domain. These are interchangeable and connected in complex (but rigorous) ways. I do not have a profound background in digital signal processing. I have been working steadily on a single problem (of zillions) for six months and only now feel I have a firm grasp on just the basics. However: most developers of audio software (that you are paying $$$ for) seem to have very little knowledge of the frequency domain since the most common tasks (mixing and gain) can be handled in the time-domain. Therefore: even the basics of audio are often overlooked, or we are led to believe, prematurely, that a problem is finished. I have found this to be the case with the one of the simplest tasks: sample rate conversion (i.e. resampling, pitch shift).

Time vs Frequency
• A click in terms of the time domain is a sudden discontinuity in the waveform. • We can take a Fourier transform of a click by modeling it as an impulse function, i.e. ... 0,0,0,0,1,0,0,0,0... • Surprisingly, the impulse function is an identity function. The frequency domain response is all frequencies at 0dB!

Gain control in Frequency Domain
• Many of you know that beating frequencies cause low-frequency periodic volume changes. • A fade (or any gain control), being a low-frequency volume change, is a form of beating. • You can think of a fade as splitting each frequency up into two neighboring frequencies which happen to all cancel each other out at a precise moment in time. • It is not possible to change the gain of a frequency in the frequency domain, rather this must be done using constructive-destructive interference.

Shannon-Nyquist Theorem
• Why resampling works: “A band-limited analog signal that has been sampled can be perfectly reconstructed from an infinite sequence of samples if the sampling rate exceeds 2F samples/second, where F is the highest frequency in the original signal.” Practical caveats: band-limited and infinite sequence. In order to truly band-limit a signal, we would need infinite time to do so. This is because band-limiting is a process of filtering by frequency discrimination. For example, if we sample at 10 Hz, all frequencies above 5 Hz must be infinitely attenuated to band-limit the signal. That means we need to be able to tell between 5 Hz and 5.00000000000001 Hz, passing the former and rejecting the latter. However, it would take very long time to tell the difference between the two (i.e. proportional to the length of the two frequencies’ beating time).
