For Spigot (Pipe) End use only primer and solvents approved for PVCgluing.Cut to Length The meter housing can be shortened by the customer. Each meter has a “dotted” line feature molded on the top surface of thehousing tube. The housing can be cut up to this line without harmingany internals. Most glue on fittings will fit without interfering with thecomputer display area. However, the customer should check all partsbefore attempting cut.For NPT and BSP Fittings wrap all connections with 3 to 4 wraps of threadtape (optional to use pipe thread sealant). Make sure the tape does notintrude into the flow path.3. Attach meter with arrow pointed in the direction of fluid flow.4. For NPT Fittings - Hand tighten the meter at the housing ends. Do notuse a wrench or similar tool to tighten. This can damage the housing.78S A F E T Y / S P E C I F I C A T I O N SG E T T I N G S T A R T E DO P E R A T I O N /C A L I B R A T I O NM A I N T E N A N C E / R E P A I R INSTALLATION (CONTINUED )Connections (continued)5. Generally the voltagesacross the pairs are similar and so therecommended choice would be a pair ofSD16X, SD32X or SD55Xs. However, mainspowered transmitters should be protected withan SD150X or 275X (depending upon supplyvoltage) for the supply inputs.Loadcells are catered for by MTL SurgeTechnologies’ LC30 which is suitable for both 4and 6-wire load cells.2-w i r e t r a n s m i t t e r o r s e n s o r3-w i r e t r a n s m i t t e r o r s e n s o r4-w i r e t r a n s m i t t e r o r s e n s o rS D P R O T E C T E D F I E L D C I R C U I T T O H O S T C I R C U I T2by fixing the metallic transmitter housing to the plant structure. The earthing system illustrated here replaces the instrument 0V bond, the control system PSU bond and the IS earth with one single earth connection to meet all the design requirements and give the most effective protection against the effects of lightning induced surges.outdoor installation where there is a highlikelihood of both lightning induced transientsand combustible gases requires the installationof SPDs to prevent possible ignition of thegases. Areas seen particularly at risk includeflammable liquid storage tanks, effluenttreatment plants, distillation columns inpetrochemical works and gas pipelines.SPDs for transmitter protection should beinstalled in Zone 1 but sufficiently close to theZone 0 boundary to prevent high voltagesentering Zone 0. The distance from the SPDto Zone 0 should be less than one metrewhere possible. However, in practice the SPDwould normally be mounted on the transmitteror sensor housing which usually lies in Zone 1and is very close to Zone 0. Because there isonly a very small free volume, the SD Series issuitable for mounting in flameproof orexplosion proof enclosures.Z o n e 2The SD series is suitable for protecting electricalcircuits in Division 2, Zone 2 and can be usedwithout affecting the safety aspects of the circuit.Non-incendive (low-current) circuits can beprotected using any SD series unit mounted ineither the safe or hazardous area including thosewith the fuse disconnect facility. Non arcing (highcurrent) circuits can also be protected exceptthat SPDs with the fuse disconnect facility mayonly be mounted in the safe area. F or use inthese circuits the units must be mounted in asuitable enclosure, normally the minimumrequirements are IP54 and 7Nm resistance toimpact. The SD series is self certified byTelematic Ltd as being suitable for this purpose.C e r t i f i c a t i o nIntroducing surge protection into IntrinsicallySafe (IS) circuits is trouble free as long as thecurrent and power parameters are notexceeded. Series PE 一体化流量计或阀板流速仪规范和运行指南公告 F-PE说明书

Series PE 一体化流量计或阀板流速仪规范和运行指南公告 F-PE说明书

The Series PE Orifice Plate Flow Meter offers one-piece PVC construction incorporating a unique holder or carrier ring containing metering taps and integral gaskets. Unlike a standard orifice plate, the Series PE is a true primary element including the various components for differential pressure measurement. It was designed for use wherever there is an application for a conventional flow orifice plate. It can also be used in place of other primary differential producers for efficiency and cost effectiveness. The Series PE is available in line sizes from 1/2˝ to 24˝ and can be used with air and compatible gases. It meets or exceeds ASME, AGA & ISO standards.ACCURACYThe Series PE utilizes the corner tap proportions as defined in ISO 5167. While this code may not be referred to as International Standard until accepted by the ISO Council, the ASME Fluid Meters Research Committee has suggested that the dimensionless coefficient equation developed by the International Standards Organization (ISO) and presented in ISO 5167 is significantly better for the broad spectrum of flow measurement applications throughout process industries. The coefficient values used in the Series PE bore calculations represent the same confidence level assigned to the flange and radius taps widely accepted in fluid flow measurement. The accuracy assigned to the coefficient values is ±0.6% full scale for d/D (Beta) values 0.2 to 0.6 and ±0.7% for Beta values 0.7 to 0.75 (i.e.ß of 0.7 would have an uncertainty value of ±0.7% full scale).Accuracy of the differential signal produced by the PE equals that of a properly manufactured and installed flange or radius tap orifice meter.MOUNTINGThe orifice metering primary shall be suitable for installation between standard ANSI 125#/150# PVC or steel flanges mounted on HDPE,PVC or steel pipe. The unit shall be "self centering" within the bolt circle of the flanges. No alignment of the orifice shall be necessary.Drilling and or tapping of the main or flanges will not be allowed or required. The overall laying length shall be 1.25˝ including pre-attached ring type 1/8˝ thick Buna "N" Gaskets. Flange bolts should be 1.25˝longer than standard flange bolts.Pipe Requirements: Upstream and downstream pipe requirements are contingent upon two factors: (a) Beta Ratio-ratio of the orifice bore to the pipe ID (d/D); (b) The type of fitting or disturbance upstream of the PE. For most applications, 10 pipe dia. upstream & 5 dia.downstream are sufficient. (5 pipe dia. up and 2 dia. down are acceptable for non-critical applications.)Installation Tips: (a) If possible, do not install a valve upstream if it is going to be throttled. Install on the downstream a minimum of 6diameters from the PE. (b) The use of straightening vanes is not necessary for most applications.Installation:(a) Insert bolts through bottom half of the flange bolt circle. (b) Slide PE between flanges (make sure arrow on PE faces inthe direction of flow). (c) Make sure pressure connections are properly positioned. For horizontal air or gas lines, install with the connections on or above the horizontal center line. They should also be correctly oriented so as to not be blocked by bolts when remainder of bolts are inserted. (d) Add rest of bolts and nuts leaving all bolts loose so PE is free to move. (e) If necessary, the PE can be centered using a steel ruler to measure the total side to side movement and set PE at half way point all around. (f) Lubricate & tighten bolts diametrically alternating to recommend flange torque. (g) Check to insure the PE is installed with the arrow facing in the same direction as flow.OVERALL PRESSURE LOSS ACROSS SERIES PE ORIFICESSPECIFICATIONSService: Clean air and compatible gases.Wetted Material: Monolithic (single piece) constructed entirely of gray PVC.Accuracy: ±0.6% full scale flow (Beta = .2-.6) ±0.7% for Beta greater than .6.Temperature: 140°F max (60°C max).Pressure: 150 psi max.Head Loss: 1-Beta ratio 2eg: 1 - 0.72= 1 - 0.49 = 51% of the d.p.Line Sizes: 1/2˝ to 24˝.Process Connections: 1/4˝ female NPT.Installation: Standard flange 125#/150# rating.Pipe Requirements: General requirements 10 diameter upstream and 5 diameter downstream.Weight: Varies with line size. See chart.。

Series Te 或筒流量计的规格、安装和运行说明书

Series Te 或筒流量计的规格、安装和运行说明书

The Series Te orifice plate flowmeter offers one-piece PTFE construction similar to the OP and PE Series orifice plates, which incorporate a unique holder or carrier ring containing metering taps and integral gaskets. Available for line sizes from 1/2˝ to 24˝, the Series TE orifice plate can be used with gases, liquids, corrosive, and high temperature fluids. The Series TE can be easily installed by slipping the unit between standard flanges (orifice flanges are not required). The Series TE was designed for use anywhere there is an application for a conventional flow orifice plate. It can also be used in place of other primary differential producers for efficiency and cost effectiveness.accURacYThe Series TE Flowmeter utilizes the corner tap proportions as defined in ISO 5167. The coefficient values used in the Series TE Flowmeter bore calculations represent the same confidence level assigned to the flange and radius taps widely accepted in fluid flow measurement. The accuracy assigned to the coefficient values is ±0.6% full scale for d/D (Beta)values 0.2 to 0.6 and ±0.7% for Beta values 0.7 to 0.75 (i.e. ß of 0.7 would have an uncertainty value of ±0.7% full scale).Accuracy of the differential signal produced by the Series TE Flowmeter equals that of a properly manufactured and installed flange or radius tap orifice meter.MoUnTInGThe orifice metering primary shall be suitable for installation between standard ANSI 125#/150# PVC or steel flanges mounted on HDPE, PVC or steel pipe. The unit shall be "self centering" within the bolt circle of the flanges. No alignment of the orifice shall be necessary. Drilling and or tapping of the main or flanges will not be allowed or required. The overall laying length shall be 1.25˝ including pre-attached ring type 1/8˝ thick Buna "N" Gaskets. Flange bolts should be 1.25˝ longer than standard flange bolts.pipe Requirements: Upstream and downstream pipe requirements are contingent upon two factors: (a) Beta Ratio-ratio of the orifice bore to the pipe ID (d/D); (b) The type of fitting or disturbance upstream of the Series TE Flowmeter. For most applications, 10 pipe dia. upstream & 5 dia. downstream are sufficient. (5 pipe dia.up and 2 dia. down are acceptable for non-critical applications.)SpecIfIcaTIonSService: Air and compatible gases, corrosives, high temperature fluids, and liquids.Wetted Material: Monolithic (single piece) constructed entirely of PTFE, Buna-N gaskets.accuracy: ±0.6% full scale flow (Beta = .2-.6) ±0.7% for Beta greater than .6.Temperature: -40 to 200°F (-40 to 93.3°C).pressure: 150 psi max (10 bar).Head Loss: 1-Beta ratio 2eg: 1 - 0.72= 1 - 0.49 = 51% of the d.p.Line Sizes: 1/2˝ to 24˝, special and non-standard sizes available.process connections:1/4˝ female NPT.Installation: Standard flange 125#/150# rating.pipe Requirements: General requirements 10 diameter upstream and 5 diameter downstream.Weight:Varies with line size. See chart.1/4 NPTInstallation Tips:(a) If possible, do not install a valve upstream if it is going to be throttled. Install on the downstream a minimum of 6 diameters from the Series TE Orifice Plate. (b) The use of straightening vanes is not necessary for most applications.Installation:(a) Insert bolts through bottom half of the flange bolt circle. (b) Slide flowmeter between flanges (make sure arrow on flowmeter faces in the direction of flow). (c) Make sure pressure connections are properly positioned. For horizontal air or gas lines, install with the connections on or under the horizontal center line. They should also be correctly oriented so as to not be blocked by bolts when remainder of bolts are inserted. (d) Add rest of bolts and nuts leaving all bolts loose so the flowmeter is free to move. (e) If necessary, the flowmeter can be centered using a steel ruler to measure the total side to side movement and set flowmeter at half way point all around. (f) Lubricate & tighten bolts diametrically alternating to recommend flange torque. (g) Check to insure the flowmeter is installed with the arrow facing in the same direction as flow.HeaD LoSSoverall pressure Loss across Thin-plate orificesThe curved graph shows pressure loss generated by the Series TE.For example, a 0.7 Beta Ratio (d/D) would show a loss of 51%.As a quick check reference, you can use the formula:Head loss =1-Beta Ratio 2eg: 1-0.72or 1-0.49 = 51% of the d.p.Source: ASME Research Report on Fluid MetersMagnehelic ®and Capsuhelic ®gages from Dwyer read pressure drop across the orifice plates. For compatible gases a Dwyer ®Magnehelic ®gage may be used to read the differential pressure.
