Make a list of four or five words, all but one of which have something in common. Ask the students to find the "odd-one-out".Don't be surprised if they come up with some surprising answers. Just ask them to justify their choice. You may well find it logical. Take, for example:∙dog, cat, donkey, dragonThe answer could be dragon (because it is the only mythical creature) or cat (because all the other words start with "d").Ideally, the students should phrase their justification in a form such as:∙I think the odd-one-out is dragon because it is a mythical creature and all the others are real creatures.∙Here are some suggested words. You can easily find more. And one good exercise is to ask your students to create some lists (along with valid justifications).。

"I'mhappyasaclam."

"Iwouldn'touchthat(orhim/her)withaten-footpole."

除此之外,类似的还有,“I’vesteppedoveraline”和“I’vegonetoofar.”你还可以使用它来表示某人犯了个错误。

"Youdon'thavealegtostandon."不不,这可不是告诉你某人没有腿。

意思是他们争论的意见不对。

他们没有站立的腿是因为他们没有支持他们论点的事实。

这个俚语是告诉某人他们不对的好方法。

"Breakaleg!"

1My Favorite Movie: "Ne Zha"Hi there! I'm going to tell you all about my favorite movie, "Ne Zha." It's a Chinese animated film that came out a few years ago, but I still think it's the coolest thing ever! Let me explain why.First of all, the story is just awesome. "Ne Zha" is based on an ancient Chinese myth about a boy who was born with special powers. His name is Ne Zha, and he's got this amazing ability to conjure up weapons and fight monsters. But here's the twist: everyone thinks he's a bad kid because of a prophecy that says he'll bring chaos to the world. So even though he's trying to use his powers to protect people, they're all scared of him.Can you imagine how tough that must be? Being a kid with these incredible abilities, but having everyone look at you like you're a villain? That's exactly what happens to poor Ne Zha. His own parents don't trust him, and the villagers want him dead. It's so unfair! But Ne Zha doesn't let it get him down. He's determined to prove everyone wrong and show them that he's a good person. And that's where the real fun begins! The action scenes in this movie are mind-blowing. Ne Zha gets into all sorts of crazy battles with demons, monsters, and even gods! He's got this awesome spinning fire-wheel that he can ride around on, and he uses it to fight off all kinds of bad guys. The animation is so detailed and colorful, it's like the action is leaping right off the screen. My favorite part is when Ne Zha takes on the Dragon King. This guy is huge, like a massive sea serpent, and he's trying to flood the entire world. But Ne Zha doesn't back down. He battles the Dragon King with everything he's got, dodging his attacks and firing back with his incredible powers. It's an epic showdown that had me on the edge of my seat! And let's not forget about the characters. Ne Zha himself is just the coolest kid ever. He's brave, loyal, and never gives up, even when the whole world is against him. I wish I could be as brave as he is!But he's not the only great character. There's also Ao Bing, who starts out as Ne Zha's enemy but eventually becomes his best friend. Their friendship is so heartwarming, and it just goesto show that you shouldn't judge people before you really know them. And then there's Ao Guang, the Dragon King's son, who's this mischievous little guy who's always getting into trouble. He's hilarious, and he provides a lot of the comic relief in the movie.I could go on and on about the amazing characters, but I don't want to spoil too much for you. You'll just have to watch it yourself to see how awesome they all are!Speaking of watching it, the visuals in "Ne Zha" are simply stunning. The animators used this really cool technique called "mirror animation" to create some of the action sequences, which makes the movements look super smooth and lifelike. And the colors are just beautiful, with vibrant reds, blues, and greens that pop off the screen. But it's not just the visuals that are great – the music is incredible too. The soundtrack was composed by some of the biggest names in Chinese music, and it really adds to the emotional impact of the story. There's this one song called "Destiny" that always makes me tear up a little bit because it's so beautiful and powerful.Overall, "Ne Zha" is just an amazing movie that has everything: action, adventure, heartwarming friendships, and a message about acceptance and not judging people too quickly. It's no wonder it was such a huge hit in China and around the world. If you haven't seen it yet, you're really missing out. So what are you waiting for? Go watch "Ne Zha" right now! Trust me, you won't be disappointed.篇2My Favorite Movie: "Ne Zha"Hi everyone! Today I want to tell you all about my favorite movie - "Ne Zha." It's a Chinese animated film that came out in 2019, and it was super popular! Like, crazy popular! All my friends watched it and we couldn't stop talking about it.The story is based on an ancient Chinese myth about a little boy named Ne Zha who was born with special powers. His parents were so excited to have a baby, but then they found out Ne Zha was going to cause a lot of trouble and chaos. Yikes! Still, they loved him and tried their best to raise him right.Ne Zha was indeed a handful from the moment he was born. He came out of his mom's tummy armed with a cool fire-tipped spear and hoop! As a baby, he was super mischievous and strong. He broke things, beat up adults, and generally caused mayhem wherever he went. It was like he had too much energy crammed into his tiny body. His parents were at their wit's end trying to control little Ne Zha. They asked for help from his martial arts teacher and a powerful immortal. With their guidance, Ne Zha slowly learned discipline, but he never lost his fiery spirit and determination. As Ne Zha grew up, he had to face even bigger challenges. A evil force threatened the entire world, and only the legendary Ne Zha could stop it. He went on an epic adventure filled with crazy action scenes, colorful demons, and powerful martial arts. The animation during the fights was simply mind-blowing! The punches, the kicks, the magic spells - everything looked so real and intense. My favorite part was when Ne Zha took on the Demon Drummers in a totally awesome video game-like sequence. He was surrounded by these crazy drumming ogres, but he just spun his hoop around and around, deflecting all their attacks. Too cool!Along the way, Ne Zha made friends and learned important lessons about courage, sacrifice, and being true to yourself. He wasn't just a wild kid anymore, but a real hero willing to lay down his life for the greater good. The movie had so much heart and depth too. Ne Zha's relationship with his parents was very touching. At first, they were scared of his powers, but eventually they came to accept him for who he was. Their love for each other was truly special. And the animation...wow! The details and colors were simply stunning. The characters looked so alive and expressive. The settings, whether the human world or the demon realms, were wildly creative and vibrant. It felt like I had been transported into a magical storybook realm. The music also gave me goosebumps. It mixed traditional Chinese instruments with modern beats seamlessly. The soaring vocals during the emotional moments still give me chills when I think about them.I can't praise "Ne Zha" enough! It had me feeling every emotion possible - awestruck by the action, terrified by the villains, hopeful during the uplifting moments, and warm with family love. For a kid's movie, it was remarkably profound yet wildly entertaining. If you haven't seen "Ne Zha" yet, you absolutely must! It's my favorite movie of all time and I've probably watched it like twenty times already. The storytelling, the characters, the artistry - it's a true masterpiece. It makes me super proud of the awesome movies now coming out of China.I hope you enjoy "Ne Zha" as much as I did! Just get ready to be wowed over and over again. Prepare for an unforgettable ride! Okay, I'll stop rambling now. Thanksfor reading my movie review!篇3My Favorite Movie: Ne ZhaHave you ever heard of the movie Ne Zha? It's a really awesome Chinese animated movie that came out a few years ago. All my friends were talking about it and I really wanted to see what all the fuss was about. After I watched it, I totally understood why it was so popular!Ne Zha is based on an ancient Chinese myth about a young boy born with special powers. In the beginning of the movie, we meet his parents, Lord Li Jing and Lady Yin Shen. They had been trying for years to have a child. Finally, Lady Yin Shen gives birth to a crazy looking baby boy covered in muscles and sportingbright green hair and flaming red arm braces. His dad is horrified by his monstrous appearance and tries to kill him, but his mom protects him.As the baby grows into a little boy named Ne Zha, he starts developing incredible powers and abilities. He has super strength, can fly, shoot energy blasts from his hands and more. But he's also mischievous and arrogant, constantly causing chaos and mayhem. The villagers are terrified of him.One day, Ne Zha accidentally puts the entire village in danger. To atone for what he's done, his master gives him a magic hulu hoop that he must wear at all times. If he takes it off, he'll be obliterated into a pile of ashes! Talk about high stakes. With the hulu hoop restricting his wild powers, Ne Zha tries to be a better person. But then a terrible monster attacks his village. Ne Zha has to take off the hulu hoop to fight the monster and protect everyone, knowing it will cost him his life. What happens next is so epic and exciting! Ne Zha goes through an incredible transformation and has to battle the most ferocious enemies to save his village and restore peace to the land. The action scenes are mind-blowing with crazy special effects.More than just an action flick though, Ne Zha explores deeper themes like the bond between parent and child. Ne Zha's relationship with his parents is complicated but their love for each other shines through. The movie also teaches important lessons about inner strength, courage, and staying true to yourself. The animation in Ne Zha is simply stunning. The bright colors, detailed imagery, and imaginative character designs blew me away. And the music, with its blend of traditional Chinese instruments and modern sounds, is such an awesome soundtrack. What I love most about Ne Zha though are the characters. Ne Zha starts off arrogant and immature, but grows so much by the end. It's an amazing character arc to witness. His friends Ao Bing and Ao Guang provide great comic relief too. And the villains are terrifyingly cool, from the devious Shen Gongbao to the downright sinister Immortal Master.Overall, Ne Zha offers pretty much everything you could want in an animated movie - action, humor, heartfelt emotions, valuable life lessons, and unbelievable visuals. It's no wonder it became such a massive hit in China and around the world. If you somehow haven't seen Ne Zha yet, I highly recommend checking it out. It's an instant classic in my book and one of my all-time favorite movies for sure. Just get ready for an exhilarating, wildly imaginative ride from start to finish!篇4My Favorite Chinese MovieHave you ever seen a really amazing movie that made you laugh, cry, and feel all kinds of emotions? Well, I just watched the most incredible Chinese movie ever - "Ne Zha"! It's an animated fantasy film that came out in 2019, and it's been super popular all over China and even in other countries too. Let me tell you all about it!The story is based on an old Chinese myth about a powerful young boy named Ne Zha who has to fight against some really bad guys to protect his family and village. But it's way more exciting than just some boring ancient tale! The animation is mind-blowingly beautiful with such vibrant colors and intricate details. The characters look so cool and the action scenes are just jaw-droppingly awesome. The main character Ne Zha is unlike any hero I've ever seen before. When he's first born, everyone thinks he's going to be atotal troublemaker because of the weird circumstances around his birth. His parents are kind of afraid of him at first! But Ne Zha turns out to be a good kid who's just really mischievous and doesn't mean any real harm. He has these crazy magical powers and weapons like fire-blazing spears and a wind-and-fire wheel thingy. Whenever the bad guys try to hurt his family, he kicks their butts big time!My favorite part is when Ne Zha takes on the two major villains - Shen Gongbao and Lord Changjie. Shen Gongbao is this stuck-up jerk who gets powers from the Dragon King and he goes on a rampage trying to take over Ne Zha's village. Lord Changjie is even worse - he's an evil monster who was born from a celestial crystal and wants to destroy the whole world! The fight scenes between them and Ne Zha are just insanely epic. There's like thunderbolts and fireballs zapping everywhere! But the movie isn't just about the crazy action, it also has a really nice message about family, friendship, and being yourself. At first, Ne Zha's parents and the villagers don't understand him because he's so different. They're scared of his powers and get mad at him when he makes messes on accident. But eventually they see that underneath the mischief, Ne Zha is a good boy whojust wants to protect them. It shows that you shouldn't judge people before getting to know them.Ne Zha's friends are great too - there's Ao Bing who controls water magic, Huang Ling who's really smart, and another boy named Jiang Ziya who becomes Ne Zha's master and teaches him properly. At the start, none of them likes Ne Zha because of his troublemaking, but they eventually become like a little family working together against the villains. It reminds me of how important it is to not ditch your friends, even if they're annoying sometimes. My mom actually didn't want me to watch Ne Zha at first because she thought it would be too violent and scary. But once we started watching it together, she was hooked just like me! The action is intense for sure, but it's done in such an imaginative, almost cartoon-ish way that it's not nightmare material for kids. And there's a lot of adorable humor too, like when Ne Zha mispronounces some words in that cute little kid way. What I love most about Ne Zha is how unique and special it is as a Chinese animated film on this grand fantasy scale. It makes me feel proud of Chinese culture and shows that our movies can be just as awesome as anything made in the US or Japan. The directors Jiao Zi and Yu Yang put so much work intomaking it look perfect with a crazy amount of detail in every frame. And the incredible music score composed by Jikang Long gives you such an emotional rollercoaster ride.I really can't rave enough about how much I love Ne Zha. It's an absolute must-watch masterpiece that will blow your mind whether you're a kid or an adult! The storytelling is top-notch, the animation is breathtaking, the characters are so lovable and full of personality, and the messages about family and friendship are really meaningful. Honestly, it's one of the greatest movies I've ever seen, animated or not. I've watched it like ten times already and I know I'll keep watching it over and over. If you haven't experienced the awesomeness of Ne Zha yet, you're seriously missing out! It's an instant classic in my book.篇5My Favorite Chinese Movie: Ne ZhaHi everyone! I want to tell you about my favorite movie from China. It's called "Ne Zha" and it's an animated film that came out in 2019. I've probably watched it like a hundred times because I love it so much!Ne Zha is based on an ancient Chinese myth about a young boy who was born as a supreme deity with incredibly coolsupernatural powers. But when he first arrives on Earth as a baby, everyone thinks he's a total monster because of his weird looks and fiery energy blasts he can't control very well. His own parents are even afraid of him at first! The story follows Ne Zha as he grows up being rejected by everyone around him, except for his brave grandparents who love and protect him no matter what. Ne Zha is super mischievous and always getting into trouble with his powers, but he has a good heart deep down. I feel really bad for him when the villagers turn against him just for being different. My favorite character is definitely Ne Zha himself. Even though he looks scary on the outside with his red armor, flaming skull, and punky hairstyle, he's hilarious and you can tell he's basically a good kid who craves acceptance. The animation of his character is so awesome and detailed - I love how he flies around on his giant fire-wheels and does all these crazy martial arts moves against the bad guys. The fight scenes are hands-down the coolest part! There's this one epic battle toward the end where Ne Zha takes on the terrifying Shen Gong Wu, who is basically an evildragon-monster bent on destroying the world. Their clash levels entire cities and mountains as they trade blows with swords, cannons, and magic. The visuals and sound effects aremind-blowingly good. But the movie has a huge heartwarming message too about loving yourself for who you are, not judging others by appearances, and the sacrifices parents make to protect their kids. I won't spoil exactly what happens, but there's a really emotional twist at the end that always makes me cry happy tears. The musical score is beautiful too. After Ne Zha first came out, it became the highest-grossing animated film ever in China and launched the career of the director Jiao Zi. I'm so glad this movie was such a big hit because it's introduced the awesome world of Chinese mythology to kids all around the world (like me!). The stories and characters are just as creative as Greek myths in my opinion.I really want to learn more about these ancient legends after watching Ne Zha. The movie has inspired me to read some of the original folk tales it's based on, like the classic "Investiture of the Gods" where Ne Zha first appears. I'd love to learn about all the different gods, demons, and heroes of Chinese mythology. Maybe I'll even write my own modern re-telling someday!Overall, I just can't get enough of Ne Zha and I hope they make more fantasy movies like this set in the mythologicaluniverse. If you haven't seen it yet, I super highly recommend checking it out, even if you're not a kid. The story and animation will blow you away! It's an instant classic in my book.Ne Zha proves that movies from China can be just as exciting and moving as anything made in Hollywood. I'm proud this incredible film is representing Chinese culture to the world. It's a crazy fun roller-coaster ride packed with action, but also a lot of heart. I'll never get tired of watching the adventures of the rambunctious little demon boy who becomes a bigger hero than anyone expected!篇6My Favorite Chinese Movie: Ne ZhaHi there! My name is Xiaoming and I'm 10 years old. Today I want to tell you all about my absolute favorite movie - Ne Zha! It's a Chinese animated film that came out in 2019 and let me tell you, it was a huge hit! Everyone was talking about it.The story is based on an ancient Chinese mythology tale about a young boy named Ne Zha who was born with amazing superpowers. But here's the twist - he was actually born to defeat evil forces that wanted to destroy the world! Pretty cool, right? The movie starts off showing us Ne Zha's parents, who are minor deities. His dad is kind of a goofy guy, but his mom is this total badass warrior woman. When Ne Zha is born, it's revealed that he's destined to bring destruction and chaos. Yikes! So his parents have to find a way to control his crazy powers. This is where it gets really interesting. Ne Zha is incredibly mischievous and doesn't listen to anyone. He pulls all kinds of crazy stunts with his powers, like making people fly or catching on fire! It's hilarious but also kind of scary because he doesn't know his own strength. The animation in this movie is just mind-blowing. The fight scenes with Ne Zha using his powers are like nothing I've ever seen before. There's this one part where he's fighting a monster and everything just looks so vibrant and action-packed. The monsters are terrifying yet awesomely designed too.But it's not just about the action - the movie also has a lot of heart. You really feel for Ne Zha as he struggles to find his place in the world. His relationship with his parents is super touching, especially with his dad who wants to believe Ne Zha is good despite his reputation. The real standout character though is Ne Zha himself. Sure, he's naughty and gets into a lot of trouble. But he's also funny, brave, and has a good heart deep down. You can't help but root for him! The voice acting for his character is perfect too.I don't want to give away too many spoilers, but things takea really emotional turn towards the end. Let's just say Ne Zha has to make some huge sacrifices to protect the people he loves. It's a real tearjerker moment!Overall, Ne Zha is the total package - great characters, stunning visuals, awesome action, and a poignant story about finding your destiny. It's no wonder it broke so many box office records in China! What I love most though is how Ne Zha takes an ancient myth and retells it in a way that's exciting and relevant for kids today. It makes you appreciate Chinese culture in a whole new light. So if you haven't seen Ne Zha yet, you absolutely have to! Just be prepared for one wild ride full of laughs, cheers, and maybe even a few tears. But most of all, get ready to become a Ne Zha mega-fan like me!。
