1 污染污染自然环境中混人对人体有害或破坏环境卫生、改变环境正常状态的现象,谓之污染(pollution )。
例如向清净的水域流人生活和生产废水,向清新的大气中排人煤烟和工业废气,在正常的食品中混人有害的物质及菌类(如大肠菌)等等,均称其为污染。
对水体而言,达到上述程度时,又称为污染。
最近,在国环境科学上对污染与污浊两个词的使用往往混同而不加区别,应注意确切地使用。
大气污染大气污染(atmospheric pollution )大气污染是指大气中污染物浓度达到有害程度,超过了环境质量标准的现象。
凡是能使空气质量变坏的物质都是大气污染物。
大气污染物目前已知约有100多种。
按其存在状态可分为两大类。
一种是气溶胶状态污染物。
另一种是气体状态污染物。
气溶胶状态污染物主要有粉尘、烟液滴、雾、降尘、飘尘、悬浮物等。
气体状态污染物主要有以二氧化硫为主的硫氧化合物,以二氧化氮为主的氮氧化合物,以二氧化碳为主的碳氧化合物以及碳、氢结合的碳氢化合物。
大气中不仅含无机污染物,而且含有机污染物。
随着人类不断开发新的物质,大气污染物的种类和数量也在不断变化着。
补充大气污染指有害物质排入大气,破坏生态系统和人类正常生活条件,对人和物造成危害的现象。
有自然因素(如森林火灾、火山爆发等)和人为因素(如工业废气、生活燃煤、汽车尾气、核爆炸等)两种,且以后者为主,尤其是工业生产和交通运输所造成的。
主要过程由污染源排放、大气传播、人与物受害这三个环节所构成。
影响大气污染范围和强度的因素有污染物的性质(物理的和化学的),污染源的性质(源强、源高、源内温度、排气速率等),气象条件(风向、风速、温度层结等),地表性质(地形起伏、粗糙度、地面覆盖物等)。
防治方法很多,根本途径是改革生产工艺,综合利用,将污染物消灭在生产过程之中;另外,全面规划,合理布局,减少居民稠密区的污染;在高污染区,限制交通流量;选择合适厂址,设计恰当烟囱高度,减少地面污染 ;在最不利气象条件下,采取措施,控制污染物的排放量。

Module 12 Unit 3 土壤污染什么是土壤污染土壤是指陆地表面具有肥力、能够生长植物的疏松表层,其厚度一般在2 m左右。
土壤不但为植物生长提供机械支撑能力,并能为植物生长发育提供所需要的水、肥、气、热等肥力要素。
近年来,由于人口急剧增长,工业迅猛发展,固体废物不断向土壤表面堆放和倾倒,有害废水不断向土壤中渗透,大气中的有害气体及飘尘也不断随雨水降落在土壤中,导致了土壤污染。
凡是妨碍土壤正常功能,降低作物产量和质量,还通过粮食、蔬菜、水果等间接影响人体健康的物质,都叫做土壤污染物。
土壤污染物的来源广、种类多,大致可分为无机污染物和有机污染物两大类。
无机污染物主要包括酸、碱、重金属(铜、汞、铬、镉、镍、铅等)盐类、放射性元素铯、锶的化合物、含砷、硒、氟的化合物等。
有机污染物主要包括有机农药、酚类、氰化物、石油、合成洗涤剂、3,4-苯并以及由城市污水、污泥及厩肥带来的有害微生物等。
当土壤中含有害物质过多,超过土壤的自净能力,就会引起土壤的组成、结构和功能发生变化,微生物活动受到抑制,有害物质或其分解产物在土壤中逐渐积累,通过“土壤→植物→人体”,或通过“土壤→水→人体”间接被人体吸收,达到危害人体健康的程度,就是土壤污染。
为了控制和消除土壤的污染,首先要控制和消除土壤污染源,加强对工业“三废”的治理,合理施用化肥和农药。
同时还要采取防治措施,如针对土壤污染物的种类,种植有较强吸收力的植物,降低有毒物质的含量(例如羊齿类铁角蕨属的植物能吸收土壤中的重金属);或通过生物降解净化土壤(例如蚯蚓能降解农药、重金属等);或施加抑制剂改变污染物质在土壤中的迁移转化方向,减少作物的吸收(例如施用石灰),提高土壤的pH,促使镉、汞、铜、锌等形成氢氧化物沉淀。
此外,还可以通过增施有机肥、改变耕作制度、换土、深翻等手段,治理土壤污染。
土壤污染 soil pollution由于具有生理毒性的物质或过量的植物营养元素进入土壤而导致土壤性质恶化和植物生理功能失调的现象。
