本单元核心内容是“职业”,要求学生在一定的情景下能正确使用What does she do?Where does she work? How does she go to work? 等句型进行交流,并在此基础之上培养学生热爱劳动、尊重他人劳动的情感。

二、教学目标1、知识技能目标1)能听、说、读、写单词及词组:singer, writer, actress, actor, TV reporter。

2)能理解、认读句子:What does your father/ mother do? He’s / She’s a….3)能听懂、会唱歌曲“My Family”。

2、情感目标1)通过本课的学习培养学生与人交往,合作的精神。

2)通过学习培养热爱劳动、尊重他人劳动的情感。

并且清晰呈现动词与名词之间的变化,一目了然。

(1) 教师出示一名教师图片,说:“Look at her.’'She is a….学生对这个单词很熟悉,能抢答出,注意teach---teacher,指导学生拼读单词teacher.(2) 然后教师出示farmer“Look at the picture.”导学生回答:“He’s a farmer.”图片的视觉冲击力,让学生感受到丰收的喜悦和农民的辛苦,引导学生拼读单词。

教学反思:第五单元主要是围绕各种常见的职业而展开的话题。

第一堂课,我给孩子们带去了singer, writer, TV reporter, actor, actress, artist这6个四会的职业单词。

六年级的单词教学不像低段的单词教学,单纯地教授新的单词是无法满足高龄孩子的求知欲望的,也无法激发孩子说的欲望。

于是,我就从生活入手,以孩子喜闻乐见的明星、名人为契机来引入职业类的单词,通过“He/She is a/an …”句型来操练单词。

最后又通过表述自己的理想,促使学生将学到的知识转化为说的技能。

由于话题以及明星、名人都是孩子耳熟能详的,贴近生活的,所以课堂上气氛比较活跃。

很多平时不愿开口说的孩子也都频频地举手回答。

尤其令我欣慰的是,我们的六三班,让我看到了他们课堂上积极、热忱的另外一面。

课堂回顾:新授。

在日常对话之后,我做了唱歌的动作,让学生猜“what can I do?”将sing 板书在黑板上。

由周杰伦引出singer:Zhou Jielun is a singer.在sing的后面用红笔加上er,使学生直观上感知歌手这个单词是由以前学过的动词sing“变”过来的,一来降低背默单词的难度,二者感知职业单词变化规律。

但是这个单词的发音有些难度,我示范几遍以后,还是有很多学生不能正确发音。

于是,我将音标写了出来,又将读音分解开来教读,期望孩子能尽快掌握。

但是很遗憾的是,效果不是很明显。

我急了,一时之间寻找不到更好的方法,只能撒个大网,听到不标准的马上纠正。

但是课堂的时间有限,只能让同桌互相听一下发音了。

接下去的环节是让学生说说谁也是一个歌手。

在我的设想中,本环节应该会有很多学生争着发言的。

果然,当我举个例子后,就看到很多学生举起了手。

这是个好现象!在本节课中,我认为达到了预期的效果,培养了学生们各方面的能力。

而学生们有着充分练习和交流的时间。

在经过教师或个别学生的明确示范后,便多次开展了两人的交际活动和全班的交流活动。

新课程标准倡导的教学思想为我们处理教材和教学设计的基本理念:倡导体验、实践、参与、交流与合作的学习方式,强调学生能用英语做事情。

本单元紧紧围绕“职业”这一主题开展。

询问他人的职业以及工作地点、上班的方式是贴近学生生活的话题。

在设计本课时,我将针对学生的好奇心理,以英语老师的家庭成员介绍,整体呈现词汇,并在真实情景中教学,以英语老师的小妹妹要找工作为主线贯穿整节课的设计,为学生提供大量运用语言的机会,以“任务型”的教学途径,小组合作学习的方式,关注语言的人文性以及学生的思维能力发展,倡导语言学习从整体到部分,再回到整体的过程这一理念。

二、教学背景分析教学内容分析:PEP Book 7 Unit 5 的单元重点是询问他人的职业以及与职业相关的话题。

本节课的教学内容是Unit 5 的第四课时Let’s learn and Let’s find out句型〝What does your father do? 〞,〝Howdoes your father go to work?〞分别是第五单元第一课以及第一单元所学过的重点句型,句型对学生来说相对熟悉。

因而本节课的重点和难点是policeman,accountant, engineer, salesperson, cleaner五个职业的名称以及能询问他人的职业以及上班的交通方式。

本节课时本单元的B部分内容,是对A部分内容的延伸以及扩展。

学习对职业这一话题比较熟悉,有一定的语言知识基础,因此在设计中,以整体呈现的方式介绍老师的家庭成员的职业情况呈现新单词以及句型,在情景中教学词汇和拓展语言,充分利用已学的语言知识为新知识服务。
