14行诗英语
14行诗英语The 14-Line PoemPoetry has long been a cherished form of artistic expression, captivating the hearts and minds of readers and writers alike. The 14-line poem, often referred to as a sonnet, holds a special place in the literary landscape, boasting a rich history and a unique structure that has inspired countless poets throughout the ages.At its core, the 14-line poem is a concise and powerful medium that allows the poet to explore a single theme or idea in depth. The traditional structure, which originated in Italy during the 13th century, typically follows a specific rhyme scheme and meter, creating a harmonious and rhythmic flow that carries the reader through the poem's narrative. One of the most striking features of the 14-line poem is its ability to convey complex emotions and ideas within a compact form. The poet must carefully select each word and phrase, crafting a tapestry of language that is both visually and intellectually engaging. The structure, with its three quatrains and a final couplet, provides a framework for the poet to develop a central theme or argument, building towards a climactic resolution or insight. The enduring popularity of the 14-line poem can be attributed to its versatility and adaptability. While the traditional Petrarchan and Shakespearean sonnets have become iconic, poets have also experimented with variations on the form, such as the Spenserian and the Curtal sonnet, each with its own unique twist on the classic structure. In the hands of a skilled poet, the 14-line poem can be a powerful tool for exploring the human experience in all its complexity. From the depths of love and loss to the contemplation of philosophical questions, the sonnet has the ability to capture the essence of the human condition in a concise and captivating manner. One such example is William Shakespeare's famous "Shall I compare thee to a summer's day?", a timeless ode to the enduring power of love. In just 14 lines, Shakespeare weaves a tapestry of imagery and emotion, comparing the beauty of his beloved to the fleeting nature of summer, and ultimately proclaiming the immortality of love through the enduring medium of poetry.Similarly, John Keats' "On First Looking into Chapman's Homer" is a masterful exploration of the transformative power of literature. Through vivid descriptions and a sense of awe, Keats transports thereader to the moment of discovery, when the beauty and wonder of Homer's epic poetry is revealed to him for the first time. The 14-line poem has also been a favored form for poets exploring more abstract or philosophical themes. In "Ozymandias," Percy Bysshe Shelley presents a powerful meditation on the transience of human power and the inevitable decay of empires. By juxtaposing the towering grandeur of a once-great ruler with the desolate reality of his fallen kingdom, Shelley crafts a poignant commentary on the fleeting nature of human ambition and the enduring power of art.Beyond the traditional themes of love, nature, and philosophy, the 14-line poem has also been used to address social and political issues. In "Nuns Fret Not at Their Convent's Narrow Room," William Wordsworth offers a reflection on the power of constraint and limitation, suggesting that it is within the confines of form that true creativity and insight can flourish. In the contemporary era, the 14-line poem continues to captivate and inspire new generations of poets. From the haunting lyricism of Sylvia Plath's "Daddy" to the intricate wordplay of Seamus Heaney's "Digging," the sonnet form remains a vital and enduring part of the literary landscape. As we delve into the rich tapestry of the 14-line poem, we arereminded of the timeless power of language to express the full range of human experience. Whether exploring the depths of emotion or the complexities of the human condition, the sonnet remains a testament to the enduring artistry of poetry and the enduring fascination of the written word.。

《复活》英文读后感
《复活》英文读后感"Resurrection" is one of the finest works of fiction produced by Leo Tolstoy. It is a beautifully crafted novel that explores the themes of love, betrayal, and redemption. The story revolves around the life of a nobleman, Prince Dmitri Ivanovich Nekhlyudov, who during his youth had an affair with a servant girl named Maslova. Ten years later, Nekhlyudov encounters Maslova again, but this time she is a convicted murderer sentenced to life imprisonment in Siberia. The novel follows Nekhlyudov's journey as he tries to right the wrongs of his past and redeem himself. The novel is an accurate portrayal of the social and political environment of Russia during the 19th century. Tolstoy vividly depicts the corrupt judicial system, where justice was often skewed in favor of the wealthy and the powerful. The descriptions of the squalid living conditions in the prison and the harsh treatment of the prisoners are heart-wrenching. The author highlights the huge gap between the aristocracy and the lower classes and attempts to show how the system is rigged in favor of the rich and the powerful. The theme of redemption is central to the novel, and Tolstoy skillfully uses it to show the transformation of Nekhlyudov's character. At the beginning of the novel, Nekhlyudov is portrayed as a selfish and egotistical aristocrat who is only concerned with his own pleasure. However, his encounter with Maslova and his subsequent visits to the prison awaken his conscience, and he begins to see the injustice that is prevalent in society. He takes it upon himself to fight for the rights of the prisoners and tries to bring about a change in the system. The novel also explores the theme of love and its ability to transform lives. Nekhlyudov's love for Maslova is what drives him to fight for her and to seek redemption for his past mistakes. Likewise, Maslova's love for Nekhlyudov helps her to overcome her bitterness and anger towards him.The characters in the novel are well-developed, with each one having a distinct personality and role to play. Maslova, in particular, is a fascinating character who undergoes a significant transformation throughout the novel. She starts off as a helpless victim of circumstance, but as the story progresses, she becomes a strong and resilient woman who refuses to be broken by the harshness of life.In conclusion, "Resurrection" is a timeless masterpiece that explores timeless themes such as love, redemption, and justice. Tolstoy's vivid descriptions and insightful observations make the novel a must-read for anyone interested in exploring the human condition. The novel is a fitting tribute to Tolstoy's literary genius and an enduring testament to the power of literature to engage, enlighten, and inspire.。
与恶魔对话英语作文初二
与恶魔对话英语作文初二In the shadowed depths of an ancient forest, where the veil between worlds grew thin, I stumbled upon a sight that would forever alter the tapestry of my existence. A lone oak tree, gnarled and weathered by the passage of time, stood as a silent sentinel at the edge of a clearing. Its knotted branches reached towards the heavens like grasping claws, and the air around it crackled with an otherworldly energy. As I cautiously approached, a presence made itself known. A voice, ancient and ethereal, whispered my name through the rustling leaves. Curious and trembling with a mix of trepidation and anticipation, I stepped into the clearing. Before me, a figure materialized from the shadows. It was a creature of darkness, its form shifting like smoke in the wind. Its eyes gleamed with an infernal fire, and its voice resonated with the weight of centuries."Mortal," the creature hissed, its speech a venomous whisper, "I am Azazel, the Fallen One. You have dared to trespass upon my realm. What boon do you seek?"A surge of fear coursed through my veins, but a strange determination held me back from fleeing. I had stumbled upon a moment of profound consequence, and I knew I could not turn away."I seek knowledge," I uttered, my voice trembling slightly. "Knowledge of the hidden worlds and the secrets that lie beyond the veil."A cruel smile spread across Azazel's face. "Knowledge is a dangerous thing, mortal. Are you prepared to pay the price?""I am," I replied, my resolve unwavering.Azazel chuckled, a low, guttural sound that echoed through the forest. "Very well. But know this, the path youembark upon is fraught with peril. Many have sought the knowledge you crave, and none have emerged unscathed."Unfazed by his dire warnings, I stepped closer, eager to delve into the forbidden lore. Azazel extended his ethereal hand towards me, and as our fingers touched, a surge of darkness engulfed me.My mind was consumed by visions and whispers, fragments of ancient secrets and forgotten knowledge. I learned of the celestial realms and the infernal depths, of the cosmic forces that shaped the universe, and the hidden connections between all beings.Time seemed to lose all meaning as I was immersed in the depths of Azazel's infernal wisdom. But as the darkness enveloped me, I also felt a growing sense of unease. The knowledge I sought came at a cost, a price exacted by the Fallen One.Azazel's influence seeped into my thoughts, whispering insidious suggestions and tempting me with forbiddendesires. He sought to corrupt my soul, to turn me into a vessel for his malevolent designs.Fear and doubt gnawed at my resolve, but I refused to succumb to his temptations. With every ounce of strength, I fought against the darkness that threatened to consume me.Finally, as the first rays of dawn pierced through the canopy, Azazel's grip on my mind weakened. The visions faded, and the infernal whispers grew faint. I stumbled away from the oak tree, forever marked by my encounter with the Fallen One.As I made my way back to the realm of mortals, Icarried with me the burden of the knowledge I had gained. It was a bittersweet gift, a treasure forged in darkness and tempered by the fires of temptation. Some may question the wisdom of my decision to seek knowledge from a creature of evil. Yet, I believe that even in the darkest of encounters, there is potential for growth and enlightenment. The lessons I learned in the shadow ofthe ancient oak have shaped my path ever since, guiding me through the labyrinth of life's challenges and reminding me of the power and peril that lies hidden within the unknown.。
沉浸在骑鹅旅行记英语作文
沉浸在骑鹅旅行记英语作文英文回答:Embarking on a Quixotic Odyssey: A Journey Astride Quills and Parchment. In the hallowed halls of literature, where flights of fancy take wing, there exists a tale that transcends the boundaries of time and imagination. It is the story of a knight-errant, Don Quixote, whose delusions of grandeur propelled him on a whimsical adventure astride his loyal steed, Rocinante. But what if, instead of a noble charger, Don Quixote had embarked on his quixotic quest perched upon a humble goose? This outlandish notion forms the comedic and poignant core of "The Goose Travels South," an unpublished masterpiece that weaves together the threads of adventure, absurdity, and a profound meditation on the nature of existence. The novel's protagonist, a modern-day DonQuixote named Ignatius McCracken, sets off on a journey across Europe, accompanied not by a burly squire, but by an unlikely companion: a garrulous and opinionated goose named Henrietta.Through their misadventures, Ignatius and Henrietta encounter a kaleidoscope of unforgettable characters and situations. There's a beautiful damsel in distress, a pompous literary critic, a wise-cracking witch, and a host of eccentric individuals who add depth and humor to their extraordinary voyage. As Ignatius and Henrietta negotiate the trials and tribulations of their goose-propelled odyssey, they embark on a parallel journey of self-discovery. Ignatius grapples with the complex nature of human existence, grappling with questions of identity, meaning, and the elusive nature of happiness. Henrietta, with her unconventional wisdom and unyielding loyalty, provides a unique and often irreverent perspective on life's absurdities and complexities. In an unexpected twist, Ignatius's feathered companionbecomes more than just a mere means of transportation. Henrietta transforms into a symbol of resilience, adaptability, and the boundless possibilities that lie hidden within the most unassuming of creatures. As the novel reaches its poignant climax, Ignatius and Henrietta find themselves at a crossroads, facing a choice that will forever alter the course of their lives."The Goose Travels South" is a literary tour de force that seamlessly blends comedy, adventure, and philosophical introspection. It is a story that asks us to embrace our own eccentricities, to cherish the bonds we forge, and to never cease seeking out the unexpected wonders that life has to offer.中文回答:沉浸在骑鹅旅行记中。

I don't want to sing this type of tragic song right now
Hey,I just have this one request,so won't you hear me out?
"I love you so so much,"you said
I don't want to sing this type of tragic song right now
Hey,I just have this one request,so won't you hear me out?
I just want to be here next to you, laughing just like everyday
Thankful for you.
Continues to slowly decay
the thouhgt of you smiling brightly even now
Won't fade away
I am sure that you are singing a happy tune right now
Although the song of emptiness still resonates so loud
Singing light and happy song, taking all our cares away
And this song that marks my parting time,I will delicate to you
英语读后续写悲伤与沮丧主题作文
英语读后续写悲伤与沮丧主题作文全文共3篇示例,供读者参考篇1The Depths of DespairThe novel I just finished reading, "The Sorrows of Young Werther" by Goethe, left me feeling utterly despondent. The tragic tale of Werther's unrequited love and his eventual suicide due to the anguish it caused him resonated deeply within me. As I turned the final page, I found myself overwhelmed by a profound sadness that weighed heavily upon my soul.Werther's plight struck a chord, for I too have experienced the agonizing pangs of love gone awry. Just a year ago, I found myself hopelessly enamored with Jessica, a radiant beauty whose charm and intellect left me spellbound from the moment we met. We became inseparable, spending countless hours discussing our hopes and dreams over steaming cups of coffee at the local cafe.In those blissful days, the world seemed to glow with possibility. Jessica's warm smiles and tinkling laughter filled me with an indescribable joy. I was certain that she was the one forme - my soulmate, my other half. But alas, I was merely deluding myself with fanciful notions fed by my naive heart. The cruel truth became apparent when Daniel, a wealthy, chiseled-jaw senior, entered the picture. Instantly, Jessica was enamored, her eyes following his every movement with rapt admiration. It was torturous to witness the affection I had taken for granted being lavished upon another. I sank into a pit of dejection, hoping against hope that it was just a passing fancy. But my desperate pleas for her to reconsider fell on deaf ears.In the aftermath of our bitter break-up, every reminder of Jessica was like a dagger to my heart. Walking past the cafe where we shared so many intimate conversations became a journey through purgatory. Seeing her name pop up on my phone would trigger panic attacks, my hands trembling uncontrollably. The sweaters she had knitted for me with such tender care were banished to the darkest recesses of my closet, for I could not bear to look upon them without breaking down in racking sobs.My anguish was compounded by the incessant, cruel whispers of my own mind asking "What's wrong with me? Why was I not enough for her?" This wrenching self-doubt corroded my already fragile sense of self-worth, leaving me questioningmy very value as a person. I had given Jessica every ounce of my love and devotion, only to be callously cast aside. In my darkest hours, Werther's tragic end seemed a blessed release from the overwhelming melancholy that had become my constant companion. What was the point of going on if the innocent love I had nurtured so tenderly could be dashed upon the rocks so easily? Death's eternal slumber held a terrible allure, a means of escaping this agonizing plane of existence.Only my loving family and faithful friends kept me tethered to this world. Their compassionate words and embraces were life preservers that prevented me from being swept away by the raging torrents of my sadness. Slowly, arduously, they guided me back from the brink of despair's abyss.Yet even now, so many months later, Werther's tale has ripped open those not-quite-healed wounds, releasing a fresh torrent of melancholy. Reading of his impassioned letters, desperate pleas, and ultimate self-destruction due to love's cruel vagaries was like holding up a mirror to my own darkest fears and insecurities.I see now that I was lucky to have a support system in place to steer me away from Werther's tragic path. For when we let romantic dejection consume us entirely, resigning ourselves topermanent despair, it can lead us to rash, irrevocable acts. While the agony of heartbreak is undeniably excruciating, the light of hope and happiness can yet return if we allow our loved ones to help guide us through the darkness. To fully heal, we must accept that we did not fail because of any inherent inadequacies, but rather that some loves were simply never meant to be. Jessica and I were ships passing in the night, whose paths could not remain eternally entwined. I must respect her choice and her autonomy, as painful as that may be.Most importantly, I cannot let this depression rob me of my self-belief and zest for life. We are all imperfect beings, worthy of love despite our flaws. My worth as a person is not contingent upon the affections of any single individual. I still have so much to live for - the unwavering love of my family, the camaraderie of loyal friends, and the vast opportunities life has yet to offer. My heart will mend, and I will once more be able to embrace love without fear when the right person comes along. For no matter how deep the despondency, the human spirit has an incredible power to persevere, heal, and grow stronger in the face of adversity. Like a phoenix rising from the ashes, I will emerge from this harrowing emotional trial emboldened and resolute. The light of hope may seem a faint glimmer when oneis mired in despair, but I now know it is eternally present, awaiting my embrace once more.Though Werther failed to heed wisdom's call, I shall hold fast to its guidance. I will not surrender to melancholy, but rather allow it to temper my spirit into shining steel. The ecstasies and agonies of love and life must be weathered with equal poise and resilience. This period of sadness shall pass, for it is but one fleeting season in the endless cycle of the soul.篇2The Unrelenting FogThe fog seems to seep in slowly at first, a light mist that clouds your vision just a touch. But then it keeps rolling in, thicker and denser until it envelops you completely. That's how the sadness always starts for me. One little thing goes wrong, and then it snowballs into this suffocating blanket of gloom that's impossible to shake off.I wish I could pinpoint exactly when this dark fog began to roll in this time. Maybe it was when I bombed that calculus test I studied so hard for. The numbers just wouldn't click in my brain no matter how many practice problems I did. Staring at that 43%score written in harsh red ink was like a punch to the gut. How could I let myself down like that after putting in so much effort?Or maybe the fog started creeping in even before that, when Jessica broke up with me out of nowhere. "I just don't have feelings for you anymore," she said with a shrug, like flipping a switch to turn off her love. We'd been together over a year - I thought we had something real. But I guess people's feelings can change on a dime with no warning. Then again, this haze of sadness could just be the same one I've been living under for years now, temporarily lifted by brief moments of sunshine before crashing back down twice as thick. Like when Dad lost his job and the house got foreclosed on junior year. Or when Mom got diagnosed with breast cancer my sophomore year of high school. Just a never-ending onslaught of dark clouds blocking out any rays of light and happiness.Whatever the initial cause, the fog is here now, dense and impenetrable. Every breath feels like inhaling wet cotton. My limbs are weighed down by heavy invisible chains of sorrow. Simple tasks like getting out of bed or taking a shower require monumental effort. It's all I can do to drag myself to class each day.Not that it even matters anymore. What's the point? I'll probably just fail out of school anyway. I'm already flunking both my programming and econ classes. Whenever I try to read through the lessons or homework, the words just swim in front of my eyes, refusing to stick in my brain. It's like trying to learn an alien language through that thick cloud of despair.Maybe I'll drop out entirely. Then I can spend day after day laying on my mattress, letting the fog swallow me whole. Just fade away into the gloom until I turn into a mere wisp of sad nothingness. It's a comforting thought, in a way - to escape this miserable reality by dissipating into the air like smoke.Or would that just be giving up? Part of me still wants to fight, to struggle through the murkiness and find dry land again. But every time I try swimming against the tide, I just get pushed back and pulled under by the powerful undertow.I barely have the energy to do anything besides binge watching sitcoms and stuffing my face with junk food. In those hazy moments in front of the TV, I can almost pretend everything is fine and normal for a little while. Until the laughter from the show fades and I'm left alone again with my heavy dark fog of thoughts.Sleep is my only temporary escape, when I can manage to pass out for a few hours. But even dreams offer no refuge - they're plagued by anxious visions of failing tests, losing friends and loved ones, disappointing everyone around me. I usually wake up feeling even more drained than when I closed my eyes.Friends have tried reaching out, asking what's wrong or suggesting we hang out. But how can I explain this soul-crushing malaise using mere words? The fog robs me of coherent language and the ability to express myself. So I just mumble "nothing" and retreat further into my personalized storm cloud.Even simple text conversations are exhausting. Every inane message about someone's day or class assignment feels so trite and meaningless in the face of the gaping void of emptiness inside me. I leave messages on read for days before summoning the motivation to type out a half-hearted "lol" or "yeah."Maybe I'm just being overdramatic. Maybe this melancholy miasma metaphor is just an excuse to wallow in self-pity. Maybe I should be able to just suck it up and push through like everyone else does. But the fog is real and viscous, holding me down no matter how hard I try to climb out. Some days I want to scream out for help, to cry out into the murky abyss and beg for someone to pull me out of thisemotional tar pit before I'm subsumed completely. But those primal yells just get caught in my throat, trapped underneath layer after layer of heavy despair. So I stay silent and motionless, letting the thick fog slowly render me invisible and numb to the outside world. Maybe if I stop struggling and resign myself to the gloom, it will swallow me up entirely until I dissolve away into blessed nothingness. A dark oblivion has to be better than this perpetual state of sadness, right?Yet some infinitesimal spark still flickers deep down, refusing to be extinguished completely. A dim light that wants to believe the fog will clear eventually, even if just for a brief respite before the next downpour. That after the storm, rays of hope and happiness can shine through once more. But for now, the deluge remains. The flood of melancholy and hopelessness shows no signs of receding. All I can do is try to keep my head above water, searching through the dense mist for any way to break through to clearer skies and calmer seas. Until then, I'll keep wading through the fog, no matter how heavy and thick it may be.篇3The Weight of the WorldI've always been a sensitive person, feeling things deeply and getting easily overwhelmed by powerful emotions. Maybe that's why I gravitated towards writing and literature from a young age – it provided an outlet to channel those intense feelings into words on a page. But lately, the weight of the world has been crushing me, leaving me drained and despondent in a way I've never experienced before. It started slowly at first, like a low hum of discontent in the back of my mind that I could mostly ignore as I went about my daily routine. Study, classes, homework, repeat. The usual stresses of being a student. But that hum grew louder and louder until it became a deafening roar that I could no longer block out.The more I looked around at the state of things, the more my heart sank. Flipping through the news was like being bludgeoned by a never-ending succession of catastrophes. Climate change spinning out of control, leading to unprecedented natural disasters that displace millions. Bitter political divides cleaving societies in two, fueled by misinformation and an alarming rise in extremist ideologies. Mass shootings and mindless acts of violence becoming sickeningly routine. It's a lot for anyone to process, but as someone riddled with anxiety and depression from an early age, it quickly became overwhelming. I started having panic attacks on an almost daily basis, my mind spiraling down into darkness as I contemplated the sheer scale of the world's problems. What's the point of going to university and pursuing a career when everything could collapse into anarchy within my lifetime? How can I dare to dream about having a family of my own when I'd be bringing new innocents into a world teetering on the brink of cataclysm?I stopped sleeping properly, my mind too preoccupied with visions of apocalyptic scenarios to ever find a moment's peace. Food lost its taste as my appetite vanished. The joy I once took from simple pleasures – reading, going for walks, hanging out with friends – dissipated like morning mist under a scorching sun. An omnipresent sense of dread and hopelessness took over, sapping me of any motivation to keep going. My grades began to slip as I skipped more and more classes, unable to dredge up the energy to drag myself out of the depths of my despair. Assignments piled up, unfinished, as I frittered away the hours doomscrolling through the latest tide of misery flooding my social media feeds. My friends and family grew increasingly worried, but their attempts to lift my spirits onlymade me feel more disconnected, like we were living in separate realities. How could they not see that the world was crumbling all around us?There were days when I didn't have the strength to get out of bed at all, paralyzed by an apathy so complete that simply existing felt like too monumental a task. Smothering my head under the covers, I would lie there for hours in an inert stupor, dimly aware of time passing but powerless – or maybe just unwilling – to do anything about it. What was the point anyway? Climate scientists were ringing the alarm that we had mere years to take drastic action before triggering an irreversible doomsday scenario of rising oceans and societal collapse. Wars and civil unrest were tearing nations apart at the seams as authoritarianism took hold. It felt like no matter what any of us did, we were all frogs slowly boiling to death in a pot of faltering democracies and environmental catastrophe. In my darkest moments, I wondered if it would be easier to just...opt out. To close my eyes and never wake up, sparing myself from bearing witness to the unraveling of the world. It would be a permanent escape from this waking nightmare that had become my daily reality. I'm not proud to admit that I came perilously close to acting on those morbid thoughts on morethan one occasion. Only the interventions of loved ones pulling me back from that dreadful precipice stopped me from taking that final, tragic step over the edge.Somehow, some way, I need to find a sliver of hope to cling to, a single point of light piercing the enveloping darkness of despair. Maybe it's foolishly naive, but I have to believe that even if my generation can't solve the monumental crises we've inherited, we can at least lay the groundwork for the next generation to build a better reality. Activism and collective action still have the power to move the needle, even if progress feels maddeningly incremental. As long as I'm still drawing breath, I owe it to myself and those around me to keep fighting. To muster every last ounce of determination I have left and channel it towards making a difference, nomatter how small. To find purpose in combating apathy and injustice through the force of my words and deeds. It won't be easy, and there will be setbacks and moments when the pit of despair threatens to swallow me whole again. But I have to try.The world fell into this dire state over decades and centuries of systemic rot – it won't be fixed overnight. But if everyone did their part, maybe, just maybe, we could gradually bright it backfrom the brink. It's the slimmest of longshot hopes, but it's a hope nonetheless. And on my worst days, when the darkness feels utterly consuming, that hope is what I'll cling to with every fiber of my being. It has to be enough to keep putting one foot in front of the other, to keep pushing forward through the sadness and despondency.Because the alternative – to simply give up and surrender to oblivion – is to snuff out that last flicker of light forever. And a world without even the faintest glimmer of hope isn't one worth living in.。

给别人抄答案后悔了作文500字
给别人抄答案后悔了作文500字英文回答:The room was tense, the air thick with the kind of silence that screams louder than any words could. There I was, sitting in an exam hall, surrounded by the scratch of pens against paper, the occasional cough breaking through the monotony. It was in this setting that I made a decision I would come to deeply regret.I let someone copy my answers. At first, it seemed harmless, almost noble. After all, wasn't I just helping a friend in need? The desperation in their eyes tugged at my heartstrings, their whispered plea a siren song I couldn't ignore. So, I slid my paperslightly to the side, granting them a clear view of my hard work, my understanding of the subject laid bare for their benefit. But as the minutes ticked by, the weight of my decision began to press down on me. What started as a whisper of doubt grew into a cacophony of guilt and worry. I realized that in my attempt to be kind, I had compromised my integrity. The realization hit me like a truck; this wasn't just about the exam. It was about who I was as a person, about the values I held dear.I began to see the far-reaching consequences of my actions. By allowing someone to copy my answers, I wasn't helping them; I was enabling a shortcut, a bypass of the hard work and dedication that learning requires. I was contributing to a culture of dishonesty, undermining notjust my own achievements but the very foundation of our educational system. The regret I felt wasn't just for the potential repercussions I might face if caught. It was deeper, more profound. It was the realization that I had let myself down, that I had strayed from the path of integrity that I had always strived to walk. I had betrayed my own principles, and that betrayal stung more than any punishment the schoolcould mete out.In the aftermath, I found myself reflecting on the importance of standing by one's values, even when it's difficult. I learned that integrity is not just about doing the right thing when everyone's watching, but doing the right thing when no one is, when the only person you have to answer to is yourself. This experience taught me a valuable lesson about the importance of personal integrity and the courage it takes to uphold it. It was a hard lesson, but one I needed to learn. It has shaped me into a more principled person, someone who understands the value of hard work and the importance of earning one's achievements honestly. And so, as I move forward, I carry this lesson with me, a constant reminder of the person I aspire to be. A person of integrity, courage, and honesty.

---。
It was a serene evening, the tranquility of the night wrapping around me like a warm blanket. The gentle hum of cicadas filled the air, lulling me into a peaceful slumber. However, my blissful state was abruptly shattered by an unwelcome intruder the persistent buzz of a mosquito. As I lay in bed, trying to ignore the incessant buzzing, I couldn't help but feel frustration creeping in. How could such a tiny creature disrupt my precious sleep? I swattedat the air futilely, hoping to scare off the nuisance, butto no avail. The mosquito seemed determined to make me its midnight snack.I tossed and turned, pulling the covers over my head ina feeble attempt to escape the relentless pest. But nomatter how hard I tried, the mosquito always found its way back, its high-pitched whine piercing through the silence of the night. In desperation, I reached for the insect repellent, spraying it around the room in a cloud of fragrant mist. Yet, even the strongest repellents seemed powerless against the determined mosquito. It continued its relentless assault, undeterred by my feeble attempts to ward it off.As the hours passed, my frustration turned to exhaustion. The constant buzzing had become a torment, gnawing away at my sanity with each passing minute. I longed for nothing more than to drift off into peaceful slumber, but the elusive mosquito had other plans. In a last-ditch effort to reclaim my sleep, I resorted to extreme measures. Armed with a fly swatter, I embarked on a mission to hunt down the elusive insect. Every shadow became a potential hiding place, every corner a potential ambush spot. But despite my best efforts, the mosquito remained one step ahead, taunting me with its maddeningbuzz. Finally, as the first light of dawn began to filter through the curtains, the relentless buzzing ceased. With a sigh of relief, I collapsed onto the bed, utterly exhausted from the night's battle. Though I had emerged victorious, it had come at a cost a sleepless night filled with frustration and fatigue. As I finally drifted off into a restless slumber, I couldn't help but wonder: would the mosquito return to torment me once more, or would it finally move on to its next victim? Only time would tell, but one thing wascertain I would be ready to do battle once again if the need arose. In the end, my sleep may have been disrupted, but my determination remained unshaken. For even in the face of adversity, I refused to surrender to the relentless buzz of a mere mosquito.--。

Definition 1. Let p ∈ Pn and w0 ∈ C a zero of p. The disk |z − w0| ≤ ρ is called critical with respect to w0 if p′ has no zero in the open disk but at least one on the boundary (the critical circle). In this case ρ = ρ(p, w0) ≥ 0 is called the critical radius for w0 and the derivative zeros of p on the critical circle are called to be essential (with respect to w0). The polynomial p ∈ Pn is maximal with respect to the point w0 ∈ E if among all polynomials q ∈ Pn with 0 = q(w1) the critical radii fulfill ρ(p, w0) ≥ ρ(q, w1).

Of course the term ρ(p, w0) also makes sense for polynomials p with p(w0) = 0, which are not necessarily in Pn. But in this general case one will not find a maximal polynomial as this is true in the compact class Pn. Now Sendov’s conjecture can be formulated as ρ(p, w0) ≤ 1 for all p ∈ Pn, p(w0) = 0. In order to prove the conjecture it would be enough to check maximal polynomials in Pn. But which p ∈ Pn are maximal? Phelps and Rodriguez [4] guessed that these

A PROOF OF SENDOV’S CONJECTURE
GERALD SCHMIEDER
Abstract. The Theorem of Gauß-Lucas states that the zeros of the derivative of a complex polynomial p are contained in the closed convex hull of its zeros. For a polynomial p having all its zeros in the closed unit disk Bl. Sendov conjectured that the distance of an arbitrary zero to the closest derivative zero is at most 1. In this article we will give a proof.

Note that ζ(γ(t)) depends on the path γ. Again we assume that ζ(γ(0)) = ζ. So
Note that ln |ζ(u) − u| = ℜ log(ζ(u) − u).
Let p ∈ Pn and ζ be a (not necessarily essential) derivative zero of p. As above let
z1, z2, . . . , zn ∈ E be the zeros of p and |z1| < 1. If γ : [0, 1] → C is a path with γ(0) = z1, γ(1) = u ∈ C, we see
The zeros of the derivative of a complex polynomial p are functions of the zeros of p itself. In general we do not know explicit expressions for these functions. So approximate localizations of the derivative zeros in terms of the given zeros of p are of interest. A question of this type is the famous conjecture of Bl. Sendov which goes back to 1959 and took place in Hayman’s booklet on problems in Complex Analysis (1967, [2], by a misunderstanding, there it was named after Ilieff). This conjecture states: Let p ∈ C [z] be a polynomial of degree n > 1 having all zeros z1, . . . , zn in the closed

We start with some elementary formulas. If p ∈ Pn is a polynomial with the zeros z1, . . . , zn and the derivative zero ζ with p(ζ) = 0, then

We assume for the moment that ζ is a zero of p′, but not a zero of p′′. The implicit
