Note-taking is a skill that can help you do well in all your schoolwork. It can make you confident when you are studying. But unluckily, most students don’t know how to take notes. Here is some advice on taking notes. I hope they are useful to you.If your teacher writes notes on the blackboard, that’s great. You can copy them or write down the most important facts of all in class. Different teachers do things differently. For example, some teachers may focus on (关注) lots of dates and facts in class, but they only write the important ones on the blackboard. Other teachers may not write anything down, but they may repeat them.Don’t try to write down every word in class, or you might miss some important poin ts. Some students really learn better with the help of these notes. Don’t be afraid to ask your teacher to repeat what you’ve missed. If your teacher speaks too fast and you can’t follow what he is saying, you can ask him after class.Comparing your notes with your classmates’ can be good for your learning. It can also help you and your classmates correct some mistakes.Note-taking also needs organization. Keep notes for each subject in one place, so that you can find everything easily when a test comes.Good note-taking takes time. If you decide to recopy your notes every evening. you’ll surely have less lime to watch TV. But you’ll save time in the coming test.1、2题完成句子;3题简略回答问题;4题找出并写下全文的主题句;5题将文中画线句子译成汉语。

Do you know how to solve it? Conflict resolution is a peaceful way of trying to deal with a conflict. Both sides in the conflict explain what they think happened to cause it. The person who listens to both sides is called the mediator (调解人).After both sides tell what they think happened to cause the conflict, they discuss ways to solve it. They try to come up with a “resolution” that both sides agree to. They cannot be angry during the communication. Everyone should use good listening and attending skills while talking. If voices get too loud or it appears that someone is angry, the mediator will speak up and have them treat each other with respect. After different suggestions are shared in how to mediate the conflict, it is time for discussing the best solution. Here is an example of how conflict resolution works step by step in a school playground setting:♦Someone says a student pushed him on the football field.♦The person who was accused as the “pusher” says it was actually an a ccident.♦The person who was pushed gets the mediator.♦The mediator takes the two persons to a quieter place, away from others to talk.♦The mediator calms them down and lets them know he understands their feelings.♦Each person describes what happened.♦The mediator repeats what he heard, so it is clear to everyone.♦The mediator asks for ideas to solve the problem.♦The two persons offer their own solutions.♦The two persons have a discussion and come to an agreement.♦The mediator makes sure the persons follow the solution.♦The mediator offers praise for solving the problem.Conflict resolution can be used in many environments. It encourages people to tell what really happened, to share their feelings, and to work together peacefully to solve the problem. It offers people workable steps to reach an agreement with the help of a mediator.21.In conflict resolution, the mediator’s job is to ________.A.describe what really happened to both sidesB.help both sides reach an agreement in a proper wayC.listen to both sides and then punish the trouble makerD.write down what both sides have explained in the communication22.The underlined word “accused” in this passage might means “ ________ ” in Chinese.A.惩罚B.忽略C.指责D.否认23.The writer gives the example in the passage in order to ________.A.show how a mediator works in a football matchB.help us know the importance of a mediator in daily lifeC.show how conflict resolution is used in different environmentsD.help us clearly understand the workable steps in conflict resolution24.Which of the following will be the best title?A.How to be good at fighting B.How to make a resolution.C.How to deal with angry mood. D.How to solve a conflict.七This book says our world is in danger. It describes the various threats to the environment. The situation is so serious that we must do something to save the Earth.________The writers ask us to “imagine that the Earth is inside a kind of greenhouse with the atmosphere (大气层) around it. The atmosphere acts like the glass: It lets sunlightin and keeps warmth from getting out. The atmosphere is essential for all living things. Without it, the Earth would be as cold and lifeless as the surface of the moon.”“The trouble is that our atmosphere is changing becau se we are polluting it with chemicals-in the form of gases-and it is keeping in too much heat!”These gases, mainly carbon dioxide (CO2) are produced by burning fuels such as petrol. The greenhouse effect may cause the level of the sea to rise and flood cities and even whole countries.________The burning and cutting down of the forests is making the greenhouse effect worse because trees take in CO2. It also causes soil erosion and flooding, as well as destroying the homes of people and animals that live in the forests.________Many of our habits cause pollution, especially our habit of using things once and then throwing them away. This creates massive mountains of rubbish. We do not know what to do with the rubbish and it pollutes our land and sea. For example, people throw away as many as seven billion drink cans in Britain each year. That is enough to reach from the Earth to the moon.________The book is asking us to become “green consumers”. That means we should only buy and use environmentally friendly goods so that we can save the Earth. These goods will not damage the environment.Let’s be green consumers and enjoy living a better life on the Earth!25.What does the underline word “essential” mean in the passage?A.of great harm B.of no harm C.of great importance D.of no importance 26.What is the correct order of the blanks “________ˮ in the passage?① How can we save the Earth② Bad habits③ The greenhouse effect④ Destroying the forestA.①②③④B.②④③①C.③④①②D.③④②①27.What may be the purpose of writing the passage?A.To recommend a book about living a better life.B.To recommend a book about developing habits.C.To recommend a book about pollution on the Earth.D.To recommend a book about becoming green consumers.28.How does the writer develop his ideas?A.By comparing facts and opinions. Before that time, New Year's Day was celebrated on April 1st. Then a new calendar called the Gregorian calendar was introduced. They were called fools.Nowadays we play jokes on people on April 1st. For example, someone might put salt in the sugar bottle so another person could put it in his coffee "by accident". Or someone might change the time on another person's alarm clock so that that person would unknowingly wake up earlier or later than planned. Do you know how it came about? The tea bag was invented in 1908 by Thomas Sullivan, an American tea seller. He was sending out free tea in silk(丝绸) bags for people to try. People put the bags together with the tea leaves into the cup and added hot water. The tea tasted good, and people thought it was easy to clean the cup. They were not happy when Sullivan started sending them loose(散的) tea again.Sullivan realized that he had a hot new thing in his hands, and he built a machine to pack the bags. As tea bags became popular, they were changed from silk to gauze(薄纱) and later paper. In 1952, Lipton Tea made the tea bageven more popular with its invention of the four-sided tea bag. Tea bags were soon a hit in the UK, and today 85% of tea in the UK is packed in paper bags. However, many people still prefer looseleaf tea. This is because some tea companies put not very good tea in their tea bags. But for most drinkers, tea bags are still the easy, tasty way to go.根据短文内容,完成下列小题。

阅读练习(A)Last Sunday the elephant keeper at London Zoo, Jim Robson, was killed by one of the elephants he loved. This was terrible, and it could be a big problem for the future of London Zoo--and maybe for all of Brim’s city zoos.London Zoo said that it would move its three elephants to a wild animal park outside London. Its director general (总经理), Michael Dixma, said, “We are sorry that the elephants are leaving; There have been elephants at London Zoo since 1931.”One British newspaper said that though many small animals were very interesting, most people wanted to see big animals--and most of all elephants.London Zoo is not only losing its elephants. It is spring time and it has just stopped raining. The stream flowing into the lake is full and there is still some half-melted snow from last winter on the ground. The reason why the water is so dear, and everything is so quiet and still, is that most of the plant and animal life in and around the lake is dead. The tigers will also leave soon and most of the bears have already gone. Outside the elephant house at London Zoo, a woman called Mary said she hoped the zoo could keep big animals. “This is the only way the young people can see animals without traveling to other countries,” she said.Zoos are not very good places for animals, but they can help to keep them well. If it's hard for you to communicate with your parents, don't worry about it. Here are some advice for you to bridge the generation gap (代沟).Don't argue (争辩) with your parents.
