He almost looks like a duck in a way. And it's like you know. Marges hair and then like Homer's crazy beer belly. 高中英语阅读理解《Televisionshows》(1篇)高中英语阅读理解《Television shows》 1Long bus rides are like television shows. They have a beginning,a middle, and an end with mercials thrown in every three or four minutes. The mercials are unavoidable. They happen whether you want them or not. Every couple of minutes a billboard glides by outside the bus window. “Buy Super Clean Toothpaste.""Drink Good Wet Root Beer.""Fill up with Pacific Gas."Only if you sleep, which is equal to turning the television set off,are you spared the unending cry of "You Need It! Buy It Now!"The beginning of the ride is fortable and somewhat exciting, even if you‘ve traveled that way before. Usually some things have changednew houses, new buildings, sometimes even a new road. The bus driver has a style of driving and it‘s fun to try to figure it out the first hour or so. If the driver is particularly reckless (鲁莽的) or daring, the ride can be as thrilling as a suspense story. Will the driver pass the truck in time? Will the driver move into the right?or the left?hand lane? After a while, ofcourse, the excitement dies down. Sleeping for a while helps pass the middle hours of the ride. Food always makes bus rides more interesting. But you‘ve got to be careful of what kind of food you eat. Too much salty food can make you very thirsty between stops. The end of the ride is somewhat like the beginning. You know it will soon be over and there‘s a kind of expectation and excitement in that. The seat of course, has e harder as the hours have passed. By now you‘ve sat with your legs crossed, with your hands in your lap, with your hands on the armrestseven with your hands crossed behind your head. 英语七年级下册学校表演的海报作文

英语七年级下册学校表演的海报作文全文共3篇示例,供读者参考篇1A Night to Remember: Our Class PerformanceIt was a crisp April evening as I stood backstage, my heart pounding with a mix of excitement and nerves. Tonight was the night of our class performance, and we had been working tirelessly for months to make it a success. As a 7th grader, I couldn't help but feel a sense of pride and anticipation for what was to come. The auditorium was abuzz with the chatter of parents, teachers, and fellow students, all eagerly awaiting the start of the show. The air was thick with the scent of freshly printed programs and the thrill of anticipation. I peeked through the curtain, catching a glimpse of the dimly lit stage, adorned with carefully arranged props and backdrops that we had meticulously crafted. As the lights dimmed and the audience hushed, the first act took the stage. It was a lively dance routine choreographed by our talented classmates, who had spent countless hoursperfecting every move. Their energy was electric, and the audience erupted into thunderous applause as they delivered an electrifying performance.Next up was a comedic skit that had us all in stitches during rehearsals. Our classmates donned outrageous costumes and delivered their lines with impeccable timing, eliciting roars of laughter from the crowd. Even the teachers were wiping tears of laughter from their eyes. Then came my turn. I was part of a group performing a heartwarming scene from a renowned play. As we took our places on the stage, the spotlights seemed to burn brighter, illuminating our faces with an almost ethereal glow. My nerves melted away as I slipped into character, my voice carrying the poignant lines across the hushed auditorium. The performance was a resounding success, and we basked in the thunderous applause that followed. But the night was far from over. There were still musical performances, poetry readings, and even a fashion show showcasing the creative talent of our classmates. One particularly memorable moment was when our science club took the stage to present a series of mind-bending experiments. We watched in awe as they made objects defygravity, created dazzling chemical reactions, and even demonstrated the principles of electromagnetic fields. It was a testament to the incredible breadth of talent within our class. As the night drew to a close, the entire cast and crew gathered on stage for a final bow. The applause was deafening, and I could feel the pride and camaraderie radiating from my classmates. We had poured our hearts and souls into this performance, and the audience's overwhelming response made every late night rehearsal and moment of stress worthwhile. After the show, the auditorium was abuzz with excitement as parents and teachers rushed to congratulate us. I was enveloped in hugs and received countless compliments on my performance. But more than the praise, it was the sense of accomplishment and the joy of sharing our talents with others that truly made the night unforgettable. As I walked home that night, my heart was filled with gratitude for the opportunity to be a part of something so special. The performance had brought our class together in a way that transcended academics and extracurricular activities. We had created something truly remarkable, and the memories of that night would forever be etched into our minds.Looking back, it's incredible to think of all the hard work, dedication, and teamwork that went into making our class performance a success. From the countless rehearsals and late nights spent perfecting our acts, to the behind-the-scenes efforts of our classmates who worked tirelessly on props, costumes, and set design, every contribution played a vital role. But beyond the technical aspects, what truly made the performance special was the camaraderie and support we shared as a class. We encouraged and uplifted each other, celebrating our individual talents while recognizing the strength of our collective efforts. It was a testament to the power of collaboration and the magic that can be created when a group of passionate individuals come together with a shared vision. In the weeks and months that followed, our class performance became a source of cherished memories and inside jokes. We relived the highlights, laughed at the bloopers, and reminisced about the moments that made our hearts swell with pride. It was a shared experience that brought us closer together and solidified the bonds of friendship that would carry us through the rest of our school years and beyond. As I look back on that unforgettable night, I am filled with a profound sense of gratitude. It was a reminder that our schoolyears are not just about academics, but about personal growth, self-discovery, and embracing the richness of human experience. The performance allowed us to step out of our comfort zones, push our boundaries, and unlock talents we never knew we possessed.More importantly, it taught us invaluable lessons about teamwork, resilience, and the power of pursuing our passions. We learned that with dedication and perseverance, even the grandest dreams could become reality. And perhaps most significantly, we discovered the joy of shared accomplishment and the lasting impact of creating something truly special together. As I look ahead to the future, I know that the memories of our class performance will remain etched in my heart forever. It was a night that reminded me of the magic that can happen when a group of passionate individuals come together, transcending boundaries and limitations to create something truly extraordinary. And for that, I will be forever grateful.篇2The School Performance PosterIt was the first week of the new semester, and our English teacher Ms. Roberts had some exciting news for us. "Class, listen up!" she announced, getting our attention. "In a few months, we will be putting on a big performance for the whole school. It will be a chance for all of you to show off your English skills through acting, singing, dancing, or whatever talent you'd like to showcase."A murmur of excitement rippled through the class. We loved any opportunity to do something different from our normal lessons. Ms. Roberts could see we were intrigued. "But first," she continued, "we need to design a poster to advertise the performance and get people excited about it. The poster needs to be eye-catching, creative, and give all the key details about the show."With that, she split us into groups of four or five students each. My group consisted of my best friends Jayden, Emma, and Lucas. The four of us put our heads together immediately, tossing around ideas."We could do something with a big spotlight shining down on the stage," Lucas suggested.Emma shook her head. "No, that's too obvious. We need something really unique.""What about tying it into a movie theme?" I proposed. "We could make it look like an old-fashioned movie poster."Jayden's eyes lit up. "Yeah, with the words kind of curved at the weird angle like they did back then! That would be cool."We spent the rest of the class period sketching out rough designs, breathing life into our vintage movie poster concept. When the bell rang, we hadn't finalized anything yet, but we were bursting with ideas.Over the next few days, our poster took shape. We decided on a 1950s drive-in movie theme, with a big car at the bottom looking up at the "screen" which would actually be the information about the performance. Jayden did a awesome job drawing the retro car, while Emma carefully lettered out the text in that classic curved style. I colored in the background to make it look like a night sky, and Lucas added a smiling family enjoying the "movie" from the car. When we finished, our poster looked like it could have been advertising the latest Marilyn Monroe flick at a drive-in theater. It was vibrant, eye-catching, and captured the fun, nostalgic spirit we had been going for.The day came for each group to present their poster ideas to the class. Group after group went up and showed their work - there were some pretty good ones! But I liked ours the best. When it was finally our turn, the four of us walked up to the front of the room, proudly displaying our creation."For our performance poster, we went with a 1950s drive-in movie theme," I began the explanation. "We thought this would be a really fun and engaging way to advertise the show."Jayden took over next. "I drew this classic car at the bottom looking up at the 'screen' which is actually where all the info about the performance will go." He pointed out the carefully shaded family sitting in the car with their riding snacks."And I did the lettering in this sort of curved, vintage style to make it look like an old movie poster," Emma chimed in.Lucas finished up our presentation. "We put a starry night background behind the 'screen' and added little detailing like the trees, just to make it look perfect."Ms. Roberts and the rest of the class looked suitably impressed as we passed the poster around for everyone to see up close. Our friends were absolutely loving it, and even thestudents who didn't really know us very well had to admit our poster looked awesome."This is really excellent work, you four," Ms. Roberts praised us. "The concept is super creative and well-executed. I think we might just have our winner!"Over the next couple of days, Ms. Roberts had all of us vote on which poster we thought should be used to advertise the performance. Our vintage movie poster edged out a couple other great options and ended up getting the most votes. We were all pretty pumped that our artwork would be reproduced and hung up all around the school to promote the big show. The pride and sense of accomplishment was amazing! Jayden, Emma, Lucas and I could barely contain our excitement. When the big day of the performance rolled around a few months later, our poster was everywhere - in the hallways, in classrooms, even out front by the main entrance. It looked perfect printed out on that heavy glossy paper, with the bright colors really popping.Tons of people showed up for the performance, and I'm certain it was due in large part to our fantastic poster. It had grabbed everyone's attention and built an awesome amount ofhype leading up to the show. As we performed some skits and songs in English up on stage, we kept looking out and seeing our artwork displayed all around the auditorium. We could hardly believe that this was our design being used in such a big way.At the end of the performance, Ms. Roberts took the microphone one last time. "Before we wrap things up, I need to give some special thanks to the incredible students who designed our poster." She stopped to gesture towards the vintage drive-in movie poster hanging on the wall. "Jayden, Emma, Lucas, and Clara - your artwork was the perfect way to advertise today's show. Great job, you four!"The audience burst into thunderous applause as we stood up and waved, our faces beaming with pride. All the hard work of brainstorming ideas and meticulously putting together that poster had paid off in the best way. We were the stars of the show!篇3A Captivating Poster for Our School's Biggest ShowAs a 7th grader at Oakwood Middle School, one of the most exciting events of the year is our annual performing arts showcase. It's a chance for students to showcase their talents insinging, dancing, acting, and more on stage in front of the whole school community. This year's show is just around the corner, and the poster advertising it has everyone buzzing with anticipation. The vibrant colors and eye-catching design of the poster immediately draw you in. At the very top in bold red lettering are the words "Oakwood's Got Talent!" which let everyone know this is going to be an amazing display of our school's most gifted performers. Just below that is a stunning graphic of a spotlight shining down onto a microphone, symbolizing the chance for students to step into the limelight. What really makes the poster pop are the different illustrated characters surrounding the microphone. There's a smiling cartoon girl with her hands raised up joyfully as she appears to be belting out a tune. Next to her is a boy doing some sort of acrobatic flip, his legs wysokicking through the air. On the other side of the poster, two more figures are depicted - one playing an electric guitar while the other dances with dazzling ribbons swirling all around.Seeing those little cartoon students so full of enthusiasm and showcasing their unique talents makes me feel excited to be a part of this year's show. I can picture myself up on that stage, overflowing with the same passion as I perform my latest spoken word poetry piece. The welcoming images let every student know that all kinds of acts and abilities are celebrated here.Underneath those illustrations, more details about the show are provided in a clean white font. It gives the date, time, and location: May 15th at 7 PM in the school auditorium. Tickets are 5 for students and parents, with proceeds benefitting the arts program. There's also a number and email address listed for anyone wanting to purchase tickets in advance.Along the bottom of the poster is one last line that reads "Come see your classmates shine!" That sums up the whole night so perfectly - it's our chance to get up on stage and let our sparkling talents radiate for all to see and admire. I can't wait to be a part of the show and have my family and friends in the audience cheering me on.I'm certainly not the only one ooh-ing and aah-ing over this vibrant, energetic poster hung up all around the school's hallways. Every time I walk by it, I see groups of students gathered around examining all the fun details and getting amped up to perform or just attend the show. We're all talking excitedly about what acts we might see and which of our friends will be starring in the spotlight. Some of the chatter I've overheard has been about how professionally designed the poster looks, like something you'd see advertising a big theater performance rather than just a school show. The graphics are so clean and modern, with a few subtle embellishments like the rays beaming out from the spotlight. Clearly a lot of thought, creativity, and skill went into making this an eye-catching advertisement.I've heard the poster was designed by a team of students in the graphic design club, under the guidance of our awesome art teacher Mr. Raskind. Those kids really knocked it out of the park! Thanks to their hard work, everyone at school is looping excited and counting down the days until the big night. Siblings and parents have probably seen the poster too since it was sent out with the latest newsletter. I bet tickets will sell out fast! This poster does an amazing job of building anticipation for what's sure to be a spectacular night showcasing the incredible talents of Oakwood students. From the title's promise ofawe-inspiring performances, to the energetic cartoon depictions of singing, dancing, acrobatics and more, it generates a buzzing excitement throughout the whole school community. I know I'll be treasuring my copy of this poster for years to come as a memento of one of the most fun experiences of middle school -sharing my spoken word poetry skills with hundreds of cheering fans!Whether you're one of the star performers taking the stage or just a proud audience member, this striking red, white and blue poster has everyone stoked for an unforgettable evening. Make sure to get your tickets soon and come see your classmates shine under the bright lights! We're going to blow you away with how talented the students at Oakwood really are. Thanks to this top-notch advertising, it's sure to be a sold-out smash hit!。

When people say “culture”, we think of art and history. But one very famous symbol in American culture is a cartoon. We all know and love the black mouse with two large round ears---Mickey Mouse. Over 80 years ago, he first appeared in the cartoon Steamboat Willie. When this cartoon came out in New York on November 18,1928, it was the first cartoon with sound and music. The man behind Mickey was Walt Disney. He became very rich and successful. In the 1930s, he made 87 cartoons with Mickey.

The experience of watching a performance competition is an exhilarating one, filled with anticipation, excitement, and a sense of awe. It was a chilly Saturday evening when I found myself seated in the auditorium, eagerly awaiting the start of the annual high school talent show. The air was thick with the buzz of conversation and the occasional nervous giggle from the performers backstage. The auditorium was a sea of faces, a mix of friends, family, and fellow students, all here to witness the raw talent that our school had to offer. The stage was set with a simple yet elegant backdrop, a single spotlight illuminating the center where the first act would soon take the floor. As the lights dimmed and the murmurs of the crowd hushed, the first performer stepped forward, their silhouette framed by the spotlight. The first act was a dance troupe, their movements synchronized and fluid, a testament to the countless hours of practice they must have put in. Each step, each turn, was executed with precision, and their energy was infectious, drawing the audience into the rhythm of their performance. As they moved across the stage, their expressions conveyed a story, one of unity and passion, and it was clear that they were not just dancing, but telling a story through their art.Following the dancers was a string quartet, their instruments held with a sense of reverence. The first notes of their piece resonated through the auditorium, a haunting melody that seemed to echo the very essence of the music. The performers were engrossed in their performance, their eyes closed as they allowed the music to wash over them. The audience wasspellbound, the silence in the room a testament to the power of their performance. The acts continued, each one unique and captivating in its own way. There was a standup comedian who had the audience in stitches with their witty remarks and clever observations. A singer with a voice so powerful and haunting that it sent shivers down my spine. A magician who left us all in awe with their illusions and sleight of hand. One performance that stood out to me was a poetry reading by a young girl who looked no older than twelve. She stepped onto the stage with a quiet confidence, clutching a crumpled piece of paper in her hand. As she began to recite her poem, her voice was soft but clear, and her words painted vivid images in my mind. The poem was about the beauty of nature and the simple joys of life, and it was a reminder of the power of words and the impact they can have on us.As the evening progressed, the performances became more diverse, showcasing the wide range of talents our school had to offer. There was a martial arts demonstration that was both impressive and mesmerizing, a dramatic monologue that left the audience on the edge of their seats, and a group of musicians who played a medley of popular songs, their enthusiasm and energy palpable. The finale of the evening was a grand orchestral performance, the musicians dressed in formal attire, their instruments gleaming under the stage lights. As they began to play, the music filled the auditorium, a richand powerful sound that seemed to envelop us all. The conductor led the orchestra with a flourish, their movements as much a part of the performance as the music itself. As the final notes of the orchestra faded away, the audience erupted into applause, a standing ovation that was a testament to the incredible performances we had just witnessed. The performers took their bows, their faces beaming with pride and joy, and as they left the stage, I couldnt help but feel a sense of admiration and inspiration.Watching the performance competition was an unforgettable experience, one that showcased the incredible talents of my peers and the power of art to move and inspire. It was a reminder that we all have unique gifts and abilities, and that by sharing them with others, we can create something truly magical. As I left the auditorium that night, I was filled with a renewed sense of awe and a deep appreciation for the beauty and diversity of the world around me.。

The circus finally arrived in the town. Dad booked tickets for the first show on Thursday evening, which was the only show for which he could easily make himself free. The family arrived at the show and was in their seats in good time. Dad sat on a seat next to the aisle1, with Mary two seats away next to Mother.
Then, with a blare of trumpets3 and a banging of drums, the show began. For the next two hours there were up-turned faces and gasps5 of astonishment6, roars of laughter as water splashed about and balloons popped. People laughed and clapped their hands as the horses and the lion tamer performed. The show was over after two hours. "Which did you like best?"asked the mother as they made their way home. "Oh, the dogs"act,"cried Mary. "I had no idea that they could be so clever.

接着,随着刺耳的喇叭声和鼓的重击声,演出开始了。
