郭晶晶曾经在保定乐凯小学度过了五年的时光，那时候，她就加入了学校的跳水队。
一开始，郭晶晶的膝盖到脚尖伸不直，腿特别硬。
为了练韧带，她忍痛坐老虎凳训练。
1996年奥运会后，郭晶晶训练时不慎摔伤腿，导致开放性骨折。
这对郭晶晶来说，是一次相当大的打击。
正常来说，在北京看病需要打钢针，一年之后再取出，但是，对于运动员来说，多做手术会影响训练效果，于是，郭晶晶选择了保守治疗，郭晶晶谁伤腿是在1996年的十二月，然而下一年的十月便是全运会。
伤一好，郭晶晶就参加了魔鬼训练。
