• Longfellow uses a simple and clear way to express the impassioned attitude towards life. The poem inspired a lot of readers and received a great success.

A Psalm of Life 人生礼赞 ——Henry ——Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
Henry Wadsworth Longfellow(1807-1882)
• Born in Portland in 1807 • Father—successful lawyer and politician • Longfellow— a language proficient —went to Europe for 3 years —became a language teacher • Essay—The Defence of Poetry • After 18 years of teaching—resigned in 1854—continued to writing

Brief Analysis
Thank you for your patience! patience!
• In his poem, the reader will find some examples of life, love, death and inspiration. Longfellow begins his poem "A Psalm of Life" with enthusiasm that continues through most of the poem. • He thinks that the soul will continue to live longer after the body dies. The second stanza ,Longfellow stated this clearly by writing, "And the grave is not its goal."
