Unit 1: My School
1. Objectives:
- Students will be able to identify and describe school objects.
- Students will be able to ask and answer questions about school.
- Students will be able to talk about their school in English.
2. Vocabulary:
- School, classroom, desk, chair, blackboard, book, bag, pencil, ruler, sharpener.
3. Warm-up:
- Begin the lesson by showing students pictures of school objects and asking them to identify each one.
- Have students repeat the names of the objects after you.
4. Presentation:
- Introduce new vocabulary words by showing flashcards
and saying the words aloud.
- Use the words in sentences to demonstrate their meaning.
5. Practice:
- Play a game where students must match the vocabulary words to pictures of school objects.
- Have students work in pairs to practice asking and answering questions about school.
6. Production:
- Divide the students into small groups and have them create a poster about their school using the new vocabulary.
- Encourage them to use complete sentences and share
their posters with the class.
7. Assessment:
- Have students take turns describing a school object and the rest of the class must guess what it is.
