The Pew report, which was based on surveys carried out in Britain,France,Germany, Italy,Spain,Greece, Poland and the Czech Republic, said that the European Union was “the new sick man of Europe”.The percentage of Europeans with a good view of the EU has fallen from 60 percent last year to 45 percent now.
The UK may be considered the most Eurosceptic country(反亲欧国家),but its support for the Union has barely changed in the past 1 2 months, falling only two points to 43 percent. But,France’s backing for the EU has fallen sharply, from 60 percent last year to 41 percent today.
On the question of whether to remain in the EU, 46 percent of the British want to leave the Union and surprisingly, the same percentage want to stay.
The Pew report’s authors said, “T he long-term economic crisis(经济危机)has created bad forces that are pulling the European apart, making the French away from the Germans and the Germans away from everyone else. The effort over the past half century to create a more united Europe is now the main disaster of the euro crisis.” The only European leader supported highly by their own voters(选民)was the German Chancellor Angela Merkel, with 74 percent voters.Prime Minister David Cameron was the next highest with a positive score of 37 percent among the British public, and he can take some comfort from the fact that 58 percent of the Poles and half of all French people think he is doing a good job.

London has a new magazine. However,it is not printed on paper any more.Everyone who has a television can receive it because it is already on TV!
In order to read this magazine, you need to have a decoder. Each page of it is numbered,so you have to dial a number to choose which subject you want to read about. You have a wide choice of topics to choose from-everything from cooking to the latest news.
If you want to read some news, the first thing you have to do is to check at the index(索引)page which has an easy-to-remember page number,1 00 for example. From page 100,you can then choose from the news articles on page 101 to 109.From here, you will have to key in the numbers again. Then, the news will appear written across your screen. If you want to go out in the afternoon, you can press 181,and a brightly colored weather map will appear on the screen. But if you want to buy some cheap things, you can press 162 for a list of the week’s best bargains. And whether you should drive or just take the train, you can simply press 189 for the traffic report. This new magazine on TV is very simple to use.But probably, the best thing about the service is that is being updated all the time.Journalists type new materials directly onto screen and the page of the magazine is replaced in minutes. London already has three services. One,transmitted by ITV(英国独立电视台),is called ORACLE while the other two,on BBC,are called CEEFAX(电视图文播送)because they let you see facts.Although CEEFAX and ORACLE have been operating for some time, they have not been well publicized.BBC engineers do not think that their idea will ever replace books and newspapers because this new invention can’t be taken with you wherever you go.But many people would agree that this is a breakthrough as great as the invention of printing, which could change not only our reading habits but also our lifestyles.
57.Which is the best title of the passage?
A.How to Read a Magazine B.A New Magazine
C.An Invention of Printing D.Magazines in London
58.What topics in the magazine _______ are mentioned?
A.news, weather, cooking and driving

C.news, shopping, cooking and traffic
D.weather, traffic, cooking and swimming
59.Which is NOT right according to the passage?
A.The novelty(新颖) of the magazine lies in its simplicity in operation.
B.Everyone can buy this magazine.
C.Some people consider this magazine cannot take the place of books and newspaper. D.When you read the new magazine, you have more choice.
