在加拿大国庆日，加拿大广播公司(CBC)宣布“在加拿大取消流产(abolishabortioninCanada)”是“伟大的加拿大人愿望表”上的第一个愿望。

“伟大的加拿大人愿望表”是Facebook和CBC共同举办的一项活动。

自从5月28日评级(rating)活动开始以来，随着“加拿大人最想实现的30个愿望”备选条目的增加，加拿大人对此的关注也与日俱增。

第四个最流行的(popular)愿望是“恢复婚姻的传统概念(traditionaldefinitionofmarriage)”。

排在其前的第三个那么是“我们国家精神的(spiritual)复兴”。

第二个是“我希望加拿大将依然支持个人选择”。

而在16000名愿望登记者中
(Ofthe16.000peoplewhoregisteredtheirwishes)，占9543的绝大多数投票(amajorityofvotes)支持“在加拿大取消流产”。
