A Traffic Accident
Last Monday, I witnessed a traffic accident on my way to school. It was a sunny morning, and the streets were busy with people heading to work and school.
As I was walking along the sidewalk, I saw a car speeding down the road. At the same time, a cyclist was crossing the intersection. The driver of the car seemed distracted and didn't notice the cyclist in time. Despite the cyclist's attempt to swerve away, the car hit him.
The collision was loud, and the cyclist was thrown off his bike and landed on the pavement. Immediately, people nearby rushed to help. Someone called an ambulance while another person tried to talk to the injured cyclist to keep him conscious. The driver of the car got out, looking very shocked and worried.
Within a few minutes, the ambulance and police arrived. The paramedics carefully placed the cyclist on a stretcher and took him to the hospital. The police started talking to witnesses, including me, to understand what had happened.
This accident reminded me of the importance of road safety. Both drivers and cyclists need to be aware of their surroundings and follow traffic rules. It also showed how quickly accidents can happen and how crucial it is to act responsibly on the road.
I hope the cyclist recovers quickly and that this serves as a lesson for everyone to be more careful while driving or cycling.。
