At the end of twentieth century, Taiwan’s economic development was in a predicament. There was a serious politics struggle inside and there’s a competition threatened in PC industry from China. On the other hand, Taiwan’s traditional industries keep recession and High tech industries are facing the dilemma in transforming. Taiwan’s advantages are obviously accelerated disappearing. Therefore, we must figure out some ways to solve this problem. In the following, I am going to tell you some challenges and actions we are facing and taking toward Taiwan.
First, the global financial crisis is directly affected the import and export business in Taiwan. As everyone knows, Taiwan is an original equipment manufacturer country. Therefore, export is an important way to earn money. The Financial Tsunami made NT dollar constantly devaluating. Therefore, it made us hard to import things. However, it’s also make export much easier.
Second, government is obliged to interfere in the financial market. It makes its effort to bring the two companies in acquisition approach. Sometimes they even turn the company into nationalization in order to prevent it from bankrupt.
Third, this recession caused the M shape society become much more obviously. The middle class is gradually assimilated into extreme rich and the extreme poor. However, this trend triggered some social troubles. Such as robbery, kidnapping, defraudation and so on. Therefore, dealing with these problems, we must solve the economics first.
After the main challenges, we have to think about some ways to solve. The following are some actions that I think we should take. At first, I think we should reduce the interference with politic, because we always concentrate on the unnecessary affairs. Not like other countries, their leaders’ are engaged in helping their economy. Therefore, it is the primary thing that we should break through. Next, we can separate them into two parts, the first part is a point of view in government which is to expand its infrastructure. If this works, I’m sure it can offer more jobs for those who are unemployed. If they have a job, they definitely have some income. At last, they have the ability to consume. Afterwards, the economics become better. Besides, for the point of view in business. I think they can offer some courses for those who are unemployed. At this time, they are willing to increase their ability. After taking the course, business can select new staff through this kind of training. It can not only benefit the business but also help a lot of people. Last but not the least, I think nothing is impossible if we get well prepared. We must study hard to increase our abilities to face the tough environment. After all, there’s a proverb goes: opportunity are for those who care.。
