七、Teaching procedure:(教学过程)Step 1 .Analysis of the student.(学生分析)
1.Rcvicw:In last unit,wc talked about our interests and our favourite school subjects.Can someone tell me about his or her favourite school subject?Why is it your favourite?
2.Look at the picture for unit
3.What is happening in this picture?
Step 2. Lead in.(引入)1 .Introduce the unit topic: Families get together to celebrate. When there is a big festi val in China, the family members always get together to celebrate. Then what's the fes tival in October in China? What festival do you know except Mid-Autumn Festival? Help the students to respond in an appropriate way.
2.Remind the students that in the previous book Li Ming and his family celebrated th e Chinese New Year in China and Jenny and her family celebrated Christmas in Cana da.
3.What do you know about the Western festivals? What festival is coming soon in Ca nada? If someone knows what it is, ask him to describe it.
Step 3. New lesson.(新课)No. 1 prepare lessons before class.
1 .Greet the students in English and make sure they can response correctly.
Do the duty report: a student on duty can say whatever he/she likes to say.
2.Teach the new words and phrases.make sure the Ss can read it correctly.
No. 2ext:Give them some time to read the text themselves. Then let them act out thedialogue in groups. Correct their pronunciation when necessary.
Ask the Ss finish the following questions:
1 .What will Li Ming's family do on the night of the /mid-Autumn Festival?
2.Where will Jenny go on Thanksgiving Day?
3.When is Canadian Thanksgiving?
4.Why do Li Ming and Jenny like autumn?
At last, the teacher explain the text in Chinese,make sure the Ss can understand the
meaning of text.

1 .Adverbial Clause with “when".(时间状语从句)Eg:Whcn I was a little boy,my grandma told me the story of chang'e.
2.Possessive Case:
(1)单数名词词尾加复数名词词尾没有s,也要加“,广。

例the boy's bag 男孩的书包meiVs room 男厕所Li Ming's family.
(2)若名词已有复数词尾又是s ,只加心”。

例the workers5 struggle 工人的斗争Teachers'
day(3)表示两者共有时,只在最后名次末尾加“,s”;表示分别所有时,要分别加“,s”。

例Lucy and Lily,s parents露西和莉莉的父母(两者共有")Lucy's and Lily's bags露西和莉莉的书包(分别所有)
用of+名词构成短语修饰前面的名词或表示两个名词间的所有关系。

例the story of chang'e.
's所有格多用于有生命的东西,of所有格多用于无生命的东西,也有许多例外。

双重所有格即“of+名词'S所有格”,表示整体中的一个或部分。

No.4名词所有格练习.

Step 4. Play the tape for the Ss to follow.
Make the Ss listen lhe lextjhen let them read follow the tape.
Step 5.Summary.(小结)Sum up the text what we learned,the new words,phrases,and sentences.
Sum up the grammar.
Step 6. Homework.(作业)Finish the activity book and the practice.
Copy the new words and phrases twice.
