Organise your material and write a draft—think about the length of time you have to talk. Summarise your draft into points to write on overheads and/or cards. Plan and prepare your visual aids. Rehearse your presentation and get its length right. Ask a friend to listen and time you.

2.2 Climate
The communication climate in a group is established in essentially the same way as it is in interpersonal communication situations. The degree of openness will be an important influence on the motivation and participation of group members. Motivation and participation are reported to be the highest in groups of around five members, and both decline in groups of more than eight members.
