On my way home from school last Friday,I saw a little dog on the sidewalk looking hopelessly. I was held it firmly up in my arms, took it home and feed some milk to it. However,my mom was unwilling to keep them, saying there was enough pets for us,two cats and a dog. I begged my mom not to let it go. Finally,we agreed that it would be deciding by my dad, whom didn’t retur n home from work. Just then the girl and her father drove near, searching for their lost pets. When they thanked us taking care of the dog,I felt very happy.
指代前面的“a little dog”,所以them改成it。
“enough pets”是复数意义,所以be动词用复数,was改成were。
who didn’t return home from work.作定语,修饰my dad,且有逗号隔开,所以who didn’t return home from work.
Next winter, which y ou will spend in Harbin, I’m sure, will be another exciting holiday.
I walked in our garden, where Tom and Jimmy were tying a big sign onto one of the trees.
Have you seen the film Titanic, whose leading actor is world famous?
My friend, who has served on the International Olympic Committee all his life, is retiring next month.
The famous basketball star, who tried to make a comeback, attracted a lot of attention.
The film, whose director is an old man, is very instructive.
York, which I visited last year, is a nice old city.
Please give the book to Jessica, whom we met in the hall just now.
None of us accepted the reason he explained, for which he was absent.
注意:1.每处错误及其修改均仅限一次;
My grandfather was a teacher. He was the head teacher of a school for boys at the age
of thirteen and eighteen . I know that he was a kind man, because when I am young, he
gave me presents, set me on his knees, and told me stories. And the boys at his school
were afraid of him. At school, when he walked into a room full of noise boys, there was
silence at once. When he looked at a boy with a certain look in his eye, that boy went red
in the face, and looked down his shoes. If a boy brought to him careless work, my
grandfather picked up a boy’s book and threw it across the room, shouting,“ Do it all
again ,and take it back the first thing in the morning!” If the boy was later, or if he forgot
to take the work, he had to do it again.
1. at---between
2.am--was
3 .And--But 4.noise---noisy
5. eye--eyes
6.looked down 后加 at
7. 去掉 brought 后的 to 8. a boy’s ---the boy’s
9. take--bring er--late

When I was too young to remember, my dad owned a truck in which we all went nutting and berry picking. It was an important day when Daddy decided to buy a family car. It must have been about 1937 or 1938 when he purchased a 1929 Chevrolet sedan. We loved that old car.
On Saturday evenings, after dinner, the whole family would pile into that old square sedan, go up to Whitlinger’s grocery store and buy a bag of Hershey’s Kisses. Then Daddy would he ad out toward the country and drive all around the old country roads while we fed ourselves on chocolates. That was the highlight of our week. I didn’t know which we enjoyed most, the chocolates or riding in the car.
The first car I owned was a Packard touring car. My cousin Janet and I were living in Washington D.C., and mostly rode the streetcars to wherever we wanted to go. Janet’s friend Kathy had learned to drive so the three of us decided to buy a car for ourselves. We picked out this old Packard because it was all we could afford.
Every American living today can tell stories about the cars they have driven. I love to drive. I am most excited when I’m headed to the garage with my car keys in my hand. The car I own now is a 1998 Buick Century with a mark where I backed into a tree.
I love the freedom I feel just moving down the road in that old car. I am almost certain that when I get to heaven, God will have that old car sitting there waiting for me to drive down that golden street.

19. People always think men are more skilled than women in driving. Nowadays women appear to have a positive image of themselves as safer drivers than men.
In a survey done by insurer MetLife, 51% of women said they drive more safely. The evidence is on their side: Men are 3.4 times more likely than women to get a ticket for careless driving and 3.1 times as likely to be punished for drunk driving. “Women are on average less aggressive and more law abiding(手法的) drivers, which leads to fewer accidents,” the report says. However, not all male drivers sh are the same opinion. Of the men surveyed by MetLife, 39% claimed male drivers were safer. The findings did back them up on one point: automotive knowledge. The report showed that more men are familiar with current safety equipment such as electronic stability control, which helps prevent rollover accidents.
Auto safety unavoidably matters to money. Insurance companies focus on what classes of drivers have the lowest dollar amounts of claims, and for now, that mainly includes women. In general, women pay about 9% less for auto insurance than men. A study by the website Insweb also showed that auto insurance rates are lower for women in most states. Among individual states, women get the greatest advantage in Wyoming(where they pay 20% less), South Dakota and Washington, D.C., where their insurance costs are 16% lower.
“More than 11,9000 male drivers died in U.S. traffic accident in 2009, compared with just under 4,900 women drivers,” according to the study. “Based on miles traveled, men died at a rate of 2.5 deaths per 100 million miles traveled, vs. 1.7 deaths for women.”
