I prefer the city. Because cities are the cultural and industral centers, which lead the trends of modern life. Although in the countryside, there are more fresh air and vegetations, nowadays people have developed their environment protecting conception, and have been trying to work on the city environments. Therefore we can say, city has a great advantage over countryside.
(2) I will choose living in the country side and work in city. in that case , i need a private car and enough money. I will buy two houses. one is in the city to enjoy the life in city so as to got info. quicker and can go shopping conveniently and can enjoy modern film in modern cinema. The entertainment facilities is better in city than countryside. When I want to enjoy a quiet life and some fresh air and got a longer vocation , I'll go to my house in countryside, what a happy life! But for me,it's a dream now .

I think I am the very person to offer the answer because I used to live in the countryside and I am now living in the city. So it's easy for me to make a comparison. As the saying goes, every coin has two sides. When you hear this question you may be aware that there are advantages and disadvantages of living in either place. What's good about living in the city? First, it's very convenient. You don't have to travel a long way to get what you need. And as telephone has be-come more widely used, sometimes you can do shopping at home. All you have to do is to dial a few numbers. What's more? You can enjoy spiritual products easily in the city. You can go to the library and bury yourself in the famous works of Shakespeare or Charles Dickens. Or you can relax yourself by going to the cinema for the recent blockbuster Titanic. They are right at hand. And what about in the countryside? I still remember the great mountains and flowing streams that I was familiar with. Everything is so natural and everybody there enjoys a peaceful life. That is one advantage of
living in the countryside. You also don't have to worry about the noise or traffic jams or carrying your child to and from kindergarten. These problems do not exist there.
Now let's look at the other side of the coin. What are the disadvantages? Living in the city, I think, the biggest problem is pollution. The air is so polluted that it has become a dream for me to have a breath of purely fresh air. I don't know when this dream can come true. When I was living in the countryside, my favorite hobby was to observe the sky at night and count the stars. Now the sky above the city is so polluted that hardly any star can by seen at night. That's one of the disadvantages of living in the city. Of course, there are also other disadvantages. It's backward and inconvenient in transportation and communication. When I was living there, a 100-kilometre bus trip to the city would probably take 4 or 5 hours. And it was not comfortable at all because the road was rough and bumpy. In addition, it was hard to know what was going on in the outside world. There were not many books, magazines, nor newspapers for sale and only a limited number of channels can be received on TV. When I first came to the city to study, I found I knew too little.
So you might want to know, where exactly you would like to live? Well, I want to live in a place where I can conveniently enjoy the material prosperity produced by human beings. I can easily go to the library to study, and I can go to the cinema to en-joy myself at any time, and make full use of the modern public facilities. At the same time, I can sit under that starry sky, breathing fresh air, enjoying the pleasure of counting the twinkling s tars. That’s the place where I want to live.
(4) Where to Live—In the City or Countryside?
Where to live—in the city or in the countryside, different people have different opinions. Some people like living in cities. They think that living in cities has many advantages. First of all, there are always well-developed public transport , they can go to where they want to go. Secondly, it is often easier to find work, many people may do at least two jobs. Besides, the life in cities is rich and colorful, they can eat in good restaurant, go to cinemas, walk in the parks whenever they want to relax.
By contrary, some people prefer to live in the countryside. They think they can live a comfortable life. They can breath fresh air, drink cool and pure water, listen to birds singing. In addition, they enjoy the quiet and peace of the countryside.
In my opinion, just like the old saying “everything has its two sides”, it maybe hard for me to decide where to live. The life in the city and in the countryside has both advantages and disadvantages. On the one hand, I like the
convenient service in the city, although I hate the noisy and crowded pollution. On the other hand, I enjoy the quiet and peace in the countryside while I have to pay the price for inconvenience. In a word, I think the ideal style of life maybe working in the city and living in the countryside.

Truth I think , it's hard to say .I grow up in the city ,country is a little strange for me .when I live in the city ，I prefer the life of the country .but I feel the city is better when I stayed in the country for a few days .I don't know the reason .And both people in the city and country , they have their own ways of life ,wherever you are in ,if you like the place ,it's the best !! Candice I prefer city life sice city can provide us more convenient life and more entertainments. suppose that you live in countryside, there may not be automatic water or clean lavatory,there are not big supermarkets,it is not convenient to go anywhere since the transportation is not developed. there are many toxic pollutants in water in the countryside, farmers spray many toxic contents to the water and field to plant crops.there are many places where there is not automatic water, people must drink water from lake or well, such water is not processed through purifying or sterilization. country life may be peaceful but there are few entertainments for people, however people in city can enjoy various kinds of entertainments to relax. you have no idea what is the real life in countryside.
