二、各档次的给分范围和要求
听力原文:
Text 1
M: I like these cups. How much are they? W: Eight dollars each. Or two for 15. M: So I’d like two of them.
Text 2
M: Excuse me, Ma’am. Why don’t you sit down here?
W: No, thank you. I’m going off at the next stop.
Text 3
W: Jim! Do you want the tree in my front garden?
M: Thanks, Maggie. But I don’t think I’ve got anywhere to put it.
W: All right. Steve said he’d have it if you didn’t, so I expect he’ll take it away sometime.
Text 4
W: I heard you’re going to take a trip to Paris?
M: No. Actually, I’m going back to Sydney tomorrow.
W: Are you returning home? Why not stay in London for a few more days?
M: Because my holidays will be over soon.
Text 5
M: The weather was clear all down the coast, so the flight was pretty smooth. W: But that fog did make it longer than we expected.
M: Yeah. Anyway I am glad to be home safely.
Text 6
M: You look bad this morning, Cathy. What’s up?
W: I’m just pretty tired this morning. That’s all.
M: Why’s that? Did you stay up last night?
W: Yes, to prepare for the maths exam this morning.
M: Have you got your exam result yet?
W: Yes, but unfortunately no matter how much time I spend studying, I never seem to do well on tests.
Text 7
M: Hi, Jack speaking.
W: This is Rose. I’ve phoned about the wall a couple of times and I’m afraid nothing’s happened.
M: I’m sorry, Rose. I’ll get someone to fix it.
W: The wet area is spreading all the time and it’s getting closer to the electricity wires. It could be very dangerous. If nothing is done about it soon, I’ll have to find somebody else to deal with it, and it really won’t be my fault if you receive a very large bill.
Text 8
W: Could you please tell me about your previous work?
M: All right. I worked for a travel agency. I had to work six days a week. I got up really early in the morning when most people, and even the birds and animals, were asleep. So tourists could get up to take photos of the sunrise. I used to pick them up from their hotels around 5:00 a. m. and then head out of town and into the desert.
W: Why did you give up the work?
M: They wanted to send me to work in Spain, but I got married here and we had a baby six months ago. I live with my wife and my baby. I don’t want to live alone in Spain. So I left the job and applied for this position.
Text 9
M: Today I’m talking to Amy Manero, who’s played the piano for 12 years. Amy, how did you start?
W: I played classical music with my piano teacher every week until I began secondary school. I gave up extra lessons then, even though my school music teacher Mrs. Jones, said I needed more practice.
M: And then you started jazz. Did you enjoy playing jazz?
W: Well, my school was starting a jazz band, so I joined. And I couldn’t understand the music at first so I got quite annoyed with it. But after a while I began to love it, so for a year I studied all I could on jazz.
M: And you also write an article on the Internet?
W: Yeah, it’s like a diary. I write about my favorite musicians. And I talk about music shows I attend—if they’re good , I advertise them!
M: So what is it about music that you love?
W: Well, it communicates to everyone whether they speak English or not. And music can sound just as great played by an older musician as it can by a younger person like me.
M: Amy, thanks very much.
Text 10
M: My job is model-making. I make small copies of large buildings. It might seem a strange job, but I know when I was at school that it was what I wanted to do. So I did a college course, not in art or design as you might expect, but in woodwork.
Because of the concentration on fine detail it requires, it was perfect for a model-maker.
I’ve done quite a few jobs now. The toughest task I’ve ever had was from Ireland.
I was asked to do a model of part of a large house which had burnt down years before. I’ve done all sorts of buildings since, everything from large castles to th e most ordinary farmhouse. The one I liked most, though, was where I had to rebuild a theater. The original building was gone, but this time there were detailed drawings to work from. My model was then shown in an exhibition in London. It was fun because I could go and look at it every day if I wanted to. Generally, I don’t see my models again after I’ve delivered them, as 80% of them are shipped out to Japan or Canada, with the rest shared between England and France.。
