摘要：PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the repair time of the data lost by the fault of a disk device through efficient and effective use of stream resources by assigning all or a part of unused stream resources to a repair stream when the fault of the disk device is detected and reported. SOLUTION: When the fault of the disk device 32 is detected and reported to a controller 2, a block recovery list control part 25 investigates a block a data segment to recover belongs to and prepares a block recovery appointment list 251. After then all or a part of the unused stream resources are assigned to the number of the repair streams corresponding to the steam resources. The repair stream obtains a block identifier from the block repair appointment list corresponding to a disk group to access next. Then the disk access of the block and the repair of data segment on a buffer memory 4 are executed, then the data is written into a spare disk.
