涉县娲皇宫简介

涉县娲皇宫，属全国重点文物保护单位、涉县对外形象窗口，位于县城西10公里的古中皇山山腰，历史悠久，规模宏大，外美内秀，古称佛教名山，今为旅游胜地，是神话传说中女娲氏“炼石补天，抟土造人”的地方。紧邻涉左公路和邯长铁路，交通十分方便。

娲皇宫始建于北齐，为文宣皇帝在位期间所建途中憩息之行宫。历代均有重修和扩建，占地面积350多亩，计有古建筑135间，历代碑刻75通，北齐石窟3个，北齐摩崖刻经6部，集古建、石窟、石刻、石造像于一体，是我国最大的奉祀中华始祖女娲的古代建筑群。全部建筑分为山上、山下两部分，由朝元宫、停骖宫、广生宫和娲皇宫四组建筑组成，各组建筑布局均依山就势，匠心独运。她拥群峰以渲势，依悬崖以据险，夺天工以称奇，临清障以蕴秀，涵摄了山川之钟秀，汇集了古建之精华，为河北省古建筑十大奇观之一，自古就有“蓬壶仙境”之美誉。

主体建筑娲皇阁依崖而建，共分四层，从下向上依次为拜殿、清虚阁、造化阁、补天阁。通高23米，玉宇悬空、琼楼耸翠，上临危岩，下设深壑，金碧辉煌，望若霞蔚，以9根铁索将楼体系于崖壁，游客盈楼时，楼体晃动，铁索琅琅作响，故又有“活楼”、“吊庙”之称。

北齐摩崖刻经是娲皇古迹之精髓，共有6部，刻经面积

165平方米，分五处刻于崖壁之上，共刻经文137400多字，字体有隶、楷、魏碑体，“银钩铁画，天下绝奇”，堪称艺术珍品、稀世之宝，是我国现有摩崖刻经中时代最早、字数最多的一处，也是我国佛教发展史上、特别是佛教早期典籍中弥足珍贵的资料，对于研究我国早期佛教地域、流派及书法镌刻演变历史有着重大意义和价值，经有关专家考证誉为“天下第一壁经群”。

Wahuang Temple

Shexian Wahuang Temple is the national key protected unit of historical relies and it is the window of Shexian to the outside. It lies on the ancient Zhonghuang mountain,10 kilometers west of she county.It has a very long history and huge scale.In ancient times,it was called a famous buddha mountain,today it is called a foumous place of interest.This place is where Nvwa"work on the earth to make the man,smelt stones to mend the sky".On the west is the Shezuo highway and Hanchang railway.As a result,it has very convenient transportation.

The Wahuang Temple dates from Beiqi.It was built at the time for Xuan Yuan emperor named Gaoyang for the purpose of having a rest during his travels.Since then,the temple has been rebuilt and added to.It covers an area of 350mu,contains 75

ancient tablets,3 caves made in Beiqi,6 scriptures caved on the precipice,It is the biggest ancient building for the godness Nvwa in remote age.The whole building is divided into 2 parts-one on the mountain,one at the foot of mountain.The building are made up of 4 groups of building -Zhao yuan palace,Tingcan palace,Guangsheng palace,and Wahuang palace.Each group of the building is built in the light of the topography and in peculiar style.It is one of the 10 ancient building wonders in HeiBei province.It has always been praised as "Fairyland in Heaven".

The main building Wahuang building is built on the cliff.It has 4 storeys,which are called Baidian,Qingxu,Zaohua and Butian in turn from bottom to top.The whole building hanging in the air,is 23 meters high with trees all around it.The building is tied to the mountain side with 9 iron chains.It is said that the iron chains will give sound when visitors gather in the building,so it has always been called "living building","hanging temple".
