The low-carbon life is good for everyone. To help with the environment, I always walk or ride a bike to school instead of taking a car. Besides, I will try to use things that can be recycled and I never forget to turn off the lights when I leave the classroom. I think it’s my duty to live a low-carbon life. And even the simplest activities can make a real difference to the environment. So I suggest we should reuse notebooks as long as possible. And we’d better not spend much money on expensive clothes. If everyone does something for the environment, I believe the Earth will be a better place.

The winter holiday is coming. I’ll make a plan in order to have a good time. First, I will make a journey to Beijing with my parents. My favourite novel is Around the World in Eighty Days written by Jules Verne.

This is a book of science fiction which tells us an exciting story about an English gentleman, Mr Phileas Fogg, who makes a bet with his friend, travels around the world in eighty days. It gives us an interesting description of many difficulties and fun which happen on his journey.

From this story, we can see the author’s deep love for the sea, travel and adventure. We are also admiring him by his wisdom and courage.

My father is the hero in my heart. He is an ordinary people, but he is very special in my heart. He is very brave, hard-working and responsible. I am afraid of the mouse. My father will stand out to help me drive it out. It is funny to watch him fighting with a mouse. He is not only caring for me, but also looking after my grandparents. He is glad to do this and never complains. As for his job, he works very hard. Sometimes his workmates praise him in front of me. My dad is the hero in my heart. I want to be a person like him when I grow up.

Everybody has some experiences. For me, the most unforgettable experience is taking part in an English conversation test two years ago.

I felt very nervous when it was my turn to face the examiners. I was simply too tense to give any sensible answer. In fact, I could hardly open my mouth. The interview took about ten minutes, but it seemed years to me. When it was over, my shirt was thoroughly wet.

This was the first time I talked to foreigners in English. This was an experience I am not likely to forget.
