一、教学内容与分析
本课是泛读课,话题是Elizabeth Blackwell-the first woman doctor in the world 建议教师对课文不要做精读处理,只要求学生了解课文大意,开阔视野。

课文是以学生Wang Li的视角切入,表达自己想成为医生的理想,并为大家讲述了世界上第一位女医生Elizabeth Blackwell勇于实现理想的故事。

本课时的知识目标是整体阅读理解故事。

技能目标是引导学生实践以下阅读技能:通过泛读,了解文章大意;通过上下文,猜测生词的语义,也可以通过查字典,验证自己的猜测;通过网络和书籍拓展阅读,了解更多关于Elizabeth Blackwell的传记故事,提升搜集和处理信息的能力。

情感目标是使学生了解理想的实现是一个充满挑战的过程,树立理想很必要,为实现理想而努力,并不断克服困难,才能最终实现理想。

二、课前准备
1. 准备教学音频、教学课件、教学挂图。

2. 学生自备牛津英汉双解词典。

三、初学步骤与建议
Step 1: Warm-up/Revision
上节复习课后,教师要求学生回家后将本单元第19-21课朗读并录音,教师播放2-3名学生的录音片断,请同学们猜是谁的声音,并评价读得如何,以评促听、以评促学。
