HDMI接口是高清多媒体接口,从目前的趋势来看，配备HDMI接口、甚至整合电视功能是液晶显示器的一种发展趋势之一。

随着目前市面上越来越多附带HDMI接口的19"宽屏液晶、22"宽屏液晶和24"宽屏液晶显示器出现，这种新型接口的曝光率越来越高,随之而来的HDMIESD防护显得越来越重要,Semtech公司几年以前已经推出了RClamp0524PA,RClamp0524J和RClamp0544T.它们都具有低电容,低的工作电压,封装小,方便PCB走线,下面我们介绍RClamp0544T在HDMI接口防护应用.
1.直通式设计能提高信号完整性
HDMI是高速信号接口,因此要求在信号线增加的TVS要方便走线
直通式设计的优点:
减少对间偏移,因为走线长度和保护元件的位置在每一对线上是相同的减少走线弯曲的数量能改善信号完整性和速度走线的长度是最小的一对差分线的好共模抑制应归于紧密耦合的走线(0.5mm间距) 走线保持完整

HDMI接口的ESD保护解决方案

HDMI接口的ESD保护解决方案高清多媒体接口(HDMI)将音频和视频信号整合在单一的数字接口中，可用于蓝光播放器、DVD播放器、PVR、数字电视(DTV)、机顶盒、游戏机和其他音视频设备。

HDMI采用单根电缆和接口取代传统的多电缆多接口，支持无压缩数字视频、多路音频信号，以及视频源和液晶电视等接收器之间的数据通信。

HDMI支持标准/增强/高清视频信号、标准或多路环绕音频、版权保护(HDCP)，并确保HDMI信号源设备使用液晶电视等HDMI终端设备支持的音频/视频格式。

HDMI接收器和发射器的IC芯片全部采用深亚微米工艺制造。

亚微米CMOS制程十分敏感，通常设有ESD保护限制(最高2kV)，必须符合人体放电模式(HBM)标准。

满足这项标准仅可在受到妥善保护的生产和装配流程中提供ESD保护。

LCD电视和机顶盒(STB)等终端应用极易受到ESD冲击，特别是HDMI等热插拔接口。

热插拔接口允许用户在程序运行期间插拔连接线。

另外，大多数生产商都在争取获得某些消费电子产品证书(如CE认证)，根据IEC61000-4-2标准，认证产品必须具备极高的ESD保护性能。

这一领域的ESD放电可能远比HBM标准规定的放电情况严重。

考虑上述原因，生产商强烈建议为外部端口增加额外的ESD保护电路。

目前，恩智浦半导体(NXP Semiconductor)开发了多种DVI/HDMI接口IC芯片，不仅确实能够提供出色的ESD保护，而且增加了DDC信号电平转换和反向驱动保护功能。

这些IC是GHz级DVI/HDMI高速数据端口不可或缺的组成部分。

为实现简化布线，优化布局，最大程度地减小面积，并同时达到最高ESD防护等级，恩智浦提供集成度更高的解决方案，例如IP477x 系列。

HDMI系列解决方案既有IP4283CZ10-TB等简单的ESD保护器件，也有IP4778CZ38这样高度集成的接口调节解决方案，又或者IP4779CZ64等HDMI开关。

RS-485 allows up to 32 drivers and 32 receivers to be connected to a data bus, making it an ideal choice for multi-drop applications. Since the cabling can be as long as 4,000 feet, RS-485 transceivers are equipped with a wide (-7V to 12V) common mode range to accommodate ground potential differences. Because RS-485 is a differential interface, data is virtually immune to noise in the transmission line.DriversThe driver outputs of the SP481E and SP485E are differential outputs meeting the RS-485 and RS-422 standards. The typical voltage output swing with no load will be 0 Volts to 5 Volts. With worst case loading of 54Ω across the differential outputs, the drivers can maintain greater than 1.5V voltage levels. The drivers of the SP481E and SP485E have an enable control line which is active HIGH. A logic HIGH on DE (pin 3) will enable the differential driver outputs. A logic LOW on the DE (pin 3) will tri-state the driver outputs.The transmitters of the SP481E and SP485E will operate up to at least 10Mbps.ReceiversThe SP481E and SP485E receivers have differential inputs with an input sensitivity as low as ±200mV. Input impedance of the receivers is typically 15kΩ (12kΩ minimum). A wide common mode range of -7V to +12V allows for large ground potential differences between systems. The receivers of the SP481E and SP485E have a tri-state enable control pin. A logic LOW on RE (pin 2) will enable the receiver, a logic HIGH on RE (pin 2) will disable the receiver.The receiver for the SP481E and SP485E will operate up to at least 10Mbps. The receiver for each of the two devices is equipped with the fail-safe feature. Fail-safe guarantees that the receiver output will be in a H IGH state when the input is left unconnected. Shutdown ModeThe SP481E is equipped with a Shutdown mode. To enable the shutdown state, both driver and receiver must be disabled simultaneously. A logic LOW on DE (pin 3) and a Logic HIGH on RE (pin 2) will put the SP481E into Shutdown mode.
