On a morning of a school day, a little boy, with his mobile phone on his hand, asks his father:” Why am I going to school if my phone already knows everything? “, which makes his father seem to be confused.
As a matter of fact, with the development of technology, it seems to be normal for kids to have their own mobile phone, which is not only for easier connection, but also a method to solve problems for themselves. As time passes, more and more kids get accustomed to searching for answers with their smart phones. Of course they may ask question like above. At first hearing of it, I don’t think there is anything wrong. However, with a series of thinking, I think there must be something wrong.
First, what are schools for? Schools are institutions which provide a place for learners to learn and teachers to teach. But it seems that smart phones can do the same job with school, which is more convenient. However, it cannot play the “teacher” role because of the randomness of answers on the Internet. Everyone can give answers which they think are RIGHT. Also, kids cannot easily judge the information on the Internet, which is very dangerous for their growing-up.
From what has been discussed above, going to school is necessary for kids even if they have smart phones.
