Today, we're gonna talk about the new and awesome English teaching method in our school.So, like, in our English class, we don't just sit and listen to the teacher talk all the time. Nah, that's boring! We do all sorts of cool activities to learn English, like playing games, doing group projects, and even acting out skits. It's so much fun!One time, we had to make a poster about different countries and present it to the class. It was super cool because we got to learn about all these new places and practice our speaking skillsat the same time. Plus, we got to be creative and draw pictures on the posters, which was awesome!Another time, we played this game where we had to guess the word by looking at pictures. It was like a super fun puzzle and we had to work together as a team to figure it out. It was a great way to practice our vocabulary and have a blast at the same time.And the best part is, our teacher is so nice and supportive. She always encourages us to try our best and helps us whenwe're stuck. She makes learning English so much fun and we all look forward to her class every day.So yeah, the new English teaching method at Tang Yijun Vocational College is totally rad. Lesson 2 Advertisements
一、说大纲
根据《高级技工学校英语能力课程教学方案》所制定课程目标中新模式英语模块三的要求,学习本册书学生应该能够“掌握本模块所设定的英语环境下的生活技能”,“有条理地描述个人体验和表达个人见解”,“听懂语速为每分钟140词左右的故事或记叙文”。
教师要充分调动学生的学习热情,促进学生对英语的领悟与感受,让每个学生都能在更宽广的领域去充分接触英语感受英语。
二、说教材
1.教材内容:本课选自《新模式英语3》Unit 2 Consumer Smarts 消费者智慧里的第二课lesson 2 Advertisements 广告。
整个单元围绕“消费”话题展开。
单元的第一课是shopping for goods and services(购买商品和享受服务),是对本单元话题的一个导入,是本单元词汇教学的重点,第二课是advertisement(广告),是本单元的难点所在,也是本堂课的主要话题,透过简单的广告语,折射出的是一种文化背景和思维方式,其中有中西文化的融合也有文化的碰撞,在这个过程中学生能充分体会到中、英文的魅力所在。
2.教材的地位和作用: 我所要讲的Unit 2 Consumer Smarts 在全书的位置比较靠前,属于“英语环境下的生活技能”范畴,而其中Advertisements一课又介于生活技能与文字应用技能之间非常重要的一课。
因为语言作为文化的载体有着它固有的文化传播的功能,
而广告用语又是任何一种语言的精炼和提纯,比如经典的广告用语:Impossible is nothing(Adidas广告)、Just do it(Nike 广告)、We are the champion(安踏广告)、To be No.1(鸿星尔克)、I’m loving it(麦当劳广告)等等,它们内含丰富,短小精悍,而且很容易被大家记住。
这样,本课就被赋予了非常重要的意义,它不仅有利于学生了解西方文化,增强世界意识,发展他们跨文化交际的意识和能力,拓宽学生学习和运用英语的渠道,还有利于让学生们摆脱已有思想的束缚,认为英语就是枯燥的背单词,学语法,做练习。
相反他们在广告中能够充分体会到英语语言的魅力所在,从而让学生从拾学习英语的兴趣。
3.教学目标:
(1)认知目标
①了解英文广告中的常用搭配,掌握广告中核心词汇的汉语意义。
②体会英文广告中所使用的修辞方法,以及所包含的深层含义。
(2)技能目标
①能够从纷繁复杂的文字中提取有用信息,并对信息加以对比分析;
②通过复述广告内容,提高学生消化知识的能力和用英语思考、组织语言的能力。
③能够自己制作商品广告。
(3)情感目标:引导学生感受广告中所体现的文化融合与碰撞,
进一步激发学生学习英语的热情。
4. 教学重点、难点
重点:
(1)常用广告用语的汉语意义。
(2)从广告中提取有价值的信息,并能口头上同义转述
难点:
(1)简单表达对某个广告的见解。
(2)自己制作分类广告。
三、说教法
广告的种类繁多,内涵丰富。
为了能帮助学生在课堂上更好地理解广告。
我采用了以下的教学方法。
1.直观教学法:对于抽象的英文单词,利用多媒体课件,进行直观的展示,让学生将英文和实物直接对应让,省去了翻译中文这一中间环节。
使英语学习更加高效。
2.翻译法和交际法:翻译法与交际法相结合。
广告内容讲解采用翻译法。
口笔头练习则采用交际法,交际法是将语言的结构和功能结合起来进行交际教学,形式有问有答,既是一种互动也是对教学效果的一种反馈。
3.视听法:播放英文广告的视频,让学生从听觉、视觉两方面去理解和掌握广告所要表达的含义,大部分同学在观看完视频后都会理解广告的大意,而其中出现的生词同学们也可以根据大意进行合理猜测,这也符合模块三对学生听力能力的要求,视听结合,避免枯燥的
说教形式,使本来抽象的内容变得具体化、形象化。
4. 对比法:对两则报纸广告进行对比分析,从中找出相同点和不同点,相同的就是每则广告都必备的要素,为下面的自己动手制作广告做铺垫,而不同点则是你是否选择这件商品的直接原因,有助于引导学生表达自己的见解,达到锻炼“说”的目的。
5. 任务驱动法:要求学生在课堂上几个人配合学习,即学即练,通过完成任务调动学生积极性达到教学目的。
四、说学法
学生是学习的主体,要让学生能主动积极地学习,选择方法是很重要的。
根据大纲的要求和学生年龄特点,我在学法的指导时紧紧围绕教学目标,主要通过“说”和“写”展开,让学生在理解和掌握了一定信息量的情况下,通过“说”,把所学内容进行吸收内化并用自己的方式表达出来,在通过“写”加以巩固,使学生自主地掌握认知目标从而来完成能力目标,最后通过亲身体验达到情感目标。
五、说教学程序
1. 前课复习(5分钟)对于第一课中讲到的所有关于购物场所的词汇进行分类复习,并通过ppt里的练习巩固记忆。
这样学生就可以避免因查单词而打断思路或因认错词而错误理解了。
2. 导入(10分钟)这环节中我采用图片展示法和提问法直接导入新课。
从单元话题引入课文标题,通过幻灯片展示和对应的中英文翻译,帮助学生慢慢进入话题,为学生进一步深入学习做好铺垫。

②设置情景问题
a. Where can you find advertisements?
b. What information can you find in advertisements?
c. How many types of advertisements do you know?
3.广告的阅读(30分钟)完成lesson 2的主要内容,培养学生获取有价值信息及总结信息的能力。
充分利用多媒体课件对书上的四则广告进行详细的阅读,教师重点分析广告中经常出现单词的汉语意思,完成书上练习。
并通过对比四则广告,让学生自己总结出一则印刷广告所必备的要素。
4. 语法讲解及演练(15分钟)这部分是对上一环节的总结,学生在理解了书上四则广告的基础上完成P25和P26练习,并引出比较级和最高级这个语法现象,为下面的表达自己对某个广告的看法(即哪个商品更便宜,那个商品更实用,哪个广告更有创意等等)做好铺垫。
5. 视、听、说训练(15分钟)播放三段广告视频,第一段视频只有背景音乐和几个简单的英文单词,但广告创意十足,激发学生继续观看下面两则广告的兴趣。
第二段视频语速较快,但配合英文字幕,表现了西方国家“自我中心”、“狂放不羁”的民族意识,第三段视频语速适中,没有字幕,但情节简单易懂,学生通过仔细观看视频,猜测生词大意也完全可以理解。
三段视频播放完毕,学生进行讨论,说出你最喜欢的一则广告,并简单阐述理由。
6. 课堂小作业(13分钟)四人一组按照活动3中自己总结出的印刷广告四要素,制作自己的广告。
7.小结与作业布置(2分钟)回顾本课所学内容,如有疑问之处向老师请教,并布置作业。
六、自评本课优势:
1、教学内容均为学生感兴趣的广告内容。
2、教师的讲解与学生的自主学习相结合,充分体现学生主体地位和教师角色的转换。
3、运用综合教学手段,启发学生在积极思考状态下感受、模仿、探究,体现“过程与方法”的课程目标。
