It was an unusual morning. Wang Peng sat in his empty restaurant feeling very frustrated. Before, by lunchtime many of his tasty food would be sold out and his restaurant ought to be full of people before 12. But today, his restaurant saw nobody but himself. The customers who used to dine in his restaurant all hurried to a small newly-opened restaurant nearby. It was opened by a slim lady called Yong Hui. And there was a sign in front of that restaurant claiming that the food in her restaurant can help people lose weight and make people thin again. That’s why so many people crowded into her restaurant.

Curiosity drove Wang Peng to follow in. After the hostess gave Wang Peng a menu, he was amazed to find the menu very limited. There were just rice, raw vegetables served in vinegar, fruit and water. However, the prices were very high. Wang Peng thought about his own menu, wondering whether it make people fat. He would like to go to the library to find out the truth. He would not have Yong Hui getting away with tell ing people lies. And he also wanted to win his customers back, because he had to earn his living and not to be in debt. Perhaps with a discount and a new sign, he could realize his dream.

At the library, Wang Peng was surprised to find that his restaurant served far too much fat and not enough fiber but Yong Hui’s too little fat. After careful consideration, they combined their ideas and provided a balanced and healthy menu. They cut down the fat and increase the fiber. As a result, their restaurant became such a success that before long Wang Peng became slimmer and Yong Hui put on more weight. Finally they got married a nd lived happily ever after.
