Title: Embracing Lifelong Learning in the Age of TechnologyIn the era of rapidly advancing technology, the concept of lifelong learning has become increasingly relevant. As new innovations and advancements emerge, the need to constantly update one's knowledge and skills becomes paramount. This trend is not limited to any particular field or profession; it applies to all aspects of life and work. The first argument in favor of lifelong learning centers on the evolving nature of technology. With every passing day, we witness the emergence of new technologies that have the potential to revolutionize various industries. For instance, artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning have already begun to transform fields like healthcare, finance, and transportation. To stay relevant in such a landscape, individuals must commit to continuous learning, updating their skills to keep pace with these advancements. Moreover, lifelong learning fosters adaptability, a critical skill in today's volatile world. As jobs become more dynamic and fluid, the ability to quickly adapt to new challenges and opportunities is paramount. By remaining open to new learning opportunities, individuals increase their chances of success in a rapidly changing professional environment. However, the benefits of lifelong learning extend beyondprofessional success. In today's interconnected world, knowledge is a powerful tool for personal growth and enlightenment. By constantly learning, individuals can expand their horizons, gain a deeper understanding of the world, and pursue passions and interests that might otherwise remain unexplored. In conclusion, the case for lifelong learning is compelling. In an era defined by continuous change and innovation, the ability to learn and adapt is not merely a luxury; it has become a necessity for personal and professional success. As we march into an uncertain future, committing to lifelong learning is perhaps the surest path to success and fulfillment.。

TOEFL Writing 1 Tony Lee
TOEFL WritingTony LeeMany people nowadays, believe that getting advice from friends of a higher level would be more valuable than from friends of their own level, while other believe that getting advice from friends of their own level would be more valuable. Personally, I agree that getting advice from friends of a higher level would be more valuable. Here are some of my supporting reasons.First of all, friends of a higher level are often more experienced and mature than friends of your own level. Therefore, the advice from a friend of a higher level would be more helpful because they can use their experience to provide you the advice. Moreover, they probably have better access to certain information which you are looking for than friends of your own level. This would definitely make their advice more reliable. For example, my brother helped me a lot when I was deciding whether to study aboard or to stay in China. He was a university student at that time, and he told me a lot about the learning environment in the US. He also gave me a clear image of what American schools were like. As a result, I finally chose to study aboard and it seems like I am doing well in the American education system. Even till this day, I still think that my brother’s help is priceless and I don’t think any of my friends who was at my own level could provide me such useful advice and information like my brother did.Second of all, friends of your own level may have the same opinion as you do. Therefore, asking them for advice seems useless because you would probably know what they are going to say even before you come to ask them. On the other hand, friends of a higher level are likely to have a different view from the one you have because they know more than you do. For instance, my father provided us with great suggestions when our club was planning to hold a performance last year. Although I don’t always agree with my father, I have to admit that he pointed out some problems that none of our club members had ever thought of. All of the members in our club agreed that we might have big trouble during that performance if my father didn’t provide his suggestions. As you see, friends of a higher level would probably offer you a new view when they give you advice.Despite some people think that advice from friends of your own level may be more creative and bold, I always think that getting advice from friends of a higher level is better because of their experience and views of the situation you are facing. In my opinion, advice from friends of a higher level is always more reliable and trustful.。

Some students think that they have no freedom and cannot get in touch with the society in school. And they cannot develop their hobbies. Other students think students can learn a lot in school. And they cannot control themselves. They need teachers’ help. I think we should keep students in school. But schools should have different activities for students. So students can feel more interesting.

Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? At universities and colleges, sports and social activities are just as important as classes and libraries and should receive equal financial support. Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer. 1:As people regard education as an essential part of life more and more, where the educational budgets should be devoted to rises to a hot topic. Some people hold the view that money is supposed to be put into classes and libraries, while others believe that an equal amount of financial support should begiven to sports and social activities at universities and colleges. From my perspective, sports and social activities make a complete campus life together with classes and libraries, so I firmly agree with the statement. First of all, playing sports makes a person healthy and energetic to face the future challenges. It can be seen everywhere that more and more students wear glasses, and too much reading along with facing computers for a long time makes it even worse. Then they may suffer from eye problems or other physical diseases. The only way of improving this case is to encourage them to take some time relaxing in sports. Furthermore, playing a ball game together is the best method to promote teamwork spirit. After a period of playing together, members will develop a way to solve problems and achieve their common goal. Therefore, sports strengthen ones body as well as enhance the spirit of teamwork. Besides, social activities can help foster abilities that students cannot gain during classes or self-studying. Though being smart and diligent, some students are called pedants because of not being able to exchange ideas with others freely. Only if a person is equipped with knowledge and is capable of expressing it can he become competent. So, it is significant for them to take part in social activities with the aim oflifting their communication skills. When pedants are forced to talking with others, its a great chance for them to make new friends and express their thoughts, which may be an opportunity for their future career. Last but not the least is that the places provided for sports and social activities are in need of money. It is common that the school will spend a large sum of money to purchase updated books and facilities to fulfill the requirements of classes and libraries. However, finding a suitable place to play sports or hold social activities is always hard. Take my university as an example, if I want to read a book, I can easily find a seat in the library, but if I want to run for half an hour, the crowded gym will just turn me into a upset mood. Then, requiring the same amount of financial support to ameliorate the condition is just reasonable. In a nutshell, financial support should be contributed to sports and social activities just like classes and libraries, for they help with strengthening bodies, making progress in communication skills and they are in shortage of fund. 2:Some people claim that universities and colleges should not spend a great deal of money on sports and social activities, as their budgets should prioritize classes and libraries. However, as educational institutions, universities and colleges have an obligation to provide a wide range of knowledge to their students to help them develop academically and socially. An increasing number of businesses have high demand for people who are not only specialists in their fields, but also skilled in social interaction. With the ever changing science and technology, no task can be fulfilled by a single person and given the need for collaboration, social skills and team spirit are indispensable qualities for success. Clearly, sports and social activities in universities and colleges provide students with the perfect settings to practice their social skills. By playing football in a team or joining in a contest, for instance, students can develop a sense of belonging and experience team spirit, both of which are quite essential for their future careers. Aside from fostering social skills and team spirit, sports and social activities can greatly help students release their pressures. Nowadays, students not only have to finish all the tasks assigned by teachers, but also have to attend many extra-curricular training courses. Even the most enthusiastic people feel tired and exhausted if they keep this busy schedule for a pretty long time. For example, when I was in high school, I would playbasketball with my classmates. I could always get good refreshment and resume schoolwork with higher efficiency later on. Admittedly, academic education will always be at the heart of a university. In universities, sports and social activities should by no means take the place of a focus on academic study. However, what I believe is that universities and colleges are supposed to invest in academics as well as sports and social activities. For instance, in the United States, almost all famous universities have plenty of sports teams and social groups, and universities provide adequate financial support for these events. Both of these fields are highly valued. For these reasons, I maintain that universities and colleges should spend enough money on academic education and social movements to prepare students for their future development.

托福tpo1范文(优选11篇)I agree with the statement that it is more vital for our individuals to learn ideas than those specific facts. Although some people claims, Learning new things or doing scientific research without facts or specific knowledge can be very difficult, thus students should stick to facts rather than concepts. However, those people haven't noticed all facts or knowledge are based on concepts raised by human. Thus, putting concepts aside isn't a wise choice. There are several specific reasons.First of all, We have been learning facts from texts books all the day since primary school, but seldom of us ask "why''. Basically, nobody cares because teacher or the whole education system stress too much on facts. As we all know, facts genesis from ideas and concepts. Before doing something, we'd better build a concept, or a more specific plan for what we are going to do next. Only in this way can we had everything under control. It is the same for students or scientists. For instance, Newton probably did not know the whole facts or the theory about G Force at all before he finished his research. But newton must have realized that the existence of a special force, thus a concept came into his mind. Then, all have to do is follow the concepts and start his science research. In a word, we should study ideas and concepts first and it will lead us to facts in the end.托福tpo1范文第9篇Now listen to two students discussing the opinion expressed in the letter.(man) Did you see Paul’s letter in the paper about the new sculpture?(woman) Yeah, but it was totally unconvincing. I’d like to shake the donor ’s hand and say “thank you.”(man) What do you mean the donor?(woman) You didn't know? An anonymous donor is paying the bill for most of the sculpture.(man) Not the university?(woman) No! His assumptions about who’s paying are all wrong!(man) Still, I wonder if he has a point about the space it’ll take up?(woman) Well, you know why Paul is upset. He an d his friends are always out there on the lawn right where the sculpture will be, kicking around the soccer ball. Now they’ll just have to use another part of the campus to play.(man) Oh! So he just doesn't want to have to move.(woman) Yeah! For him, it’s sculpture versus convenience.托福tpo1范文第10篇Some people believe that television has had a positive influence onsociety. TOEFL Writing1
Prompt: People benefit more from traveling in their own country than traveling to foreign countries.A weighty travel bag on the back, a cap on head and sun cream all over the exposed skin, one is on a road to something novel and tempting. Many people argue that traveling in their own country grants them insight into their own culture and brings more pleasure than traveling in foreign cities. However, such statement is hardly tenable through meticulous thinking. When staying abroad, people can experience a different culture which surely has complements to their home culture. Frank Gehry, at once an American designer and a giant in architecture, benefits a lot from his time in Greece. In Greek temples, he was entranced by the streamlined shape of fish patterns carved on the temple walls. What he saw was not just the soft lines and ancient patterns, but a calming image bearing our common ancestors' search for inner peace, which, coincidentally, is lack in the noisy modern days and the rushing US traffic. Baptized and inspired by the Greek fish, Frank materialized his interpretation of the ancient dweller--he designed the Fish Sculpture and Fish Lamp in Barcelona. The birth of the amazing architectural designs is stemmed from Frank's journey to his foreign country. Had he stayed in the competitive America all the day, the architect wouldn't have explored such profound a motif or delved into such a deep level of human psyche.Learning about a foreign culture not only broadens people's mind, but also deepens people's understanding and introspect of their own. In the first twelve years, I had been "normal' among the crowd speaking the same language. Thanks to my journey to Australia, I was blessed with a glimpse of Australian life and the difference between. In my own country, craven forebodes terrible future prospect, but Australians takes it as a gospel sender. Why? The Australian climate is suitable for cravens so they regenerate rapidly and almost every wall witnesses their daily life. If my hometown was a nest for cravens, by no means would cravens become an ominous symbol, for who is willing to believe a quotidian animal as a bad omen so as to wish bad luck to local people every day?All in all, traveling in a different country generates more perspectives and benefits than in our mother land.Prompt: work 3days/week for shorter hours VS work 5days/week for longer hours?Such scene that a computer bag in one hand and a key card in the other, a man rushes to his office through a noisy crowd is common almost everywhere. Many people believe that working three days a week for longer hours is worth promoting for the two extra free days. However, I argue that working five days a week for shorter hours helps people finish their task more efficiently. Many jobs require continuous devotion which can only be attained if the workers keep being in the working mode for most of the days in a week. The statement can be tested in my internship in a research center. When I first joined in the nano-research center, I went to the lab three times a week---Tuesday to Thursday. The work in the lab demands wholehearted concentration, but the Friday-to-Monday rest days seem to spoil my working consistency. Once I placed a petri dish fridge in the analgesic lab room and forgot it after four days' rest. Thus, I spent more time looking for the precious petri dish than performing experiment. The four blank days is more a curse than a gospel to my laboratory work which values all-time discreet and good memory.Besides my personal experience, Frank Gehry, a giant in architecture, will agree my perspective. As the saying goes, "All work and no play keeps Jack a dull boy", if work stuffed most of a 24-hour day, no one will not feel exhausting and suffocating. As a result, Frank performs his designing project only on ten a.m. to four p.m. through out work days. Even if he doesn't work for long hours in one day, his working efficiency is elevated by occasion naps between hours, which grant him several inspirations and a clear mind after waking up. The short-hour working mode, apparently, not only maintains the luminous architect's health, but also perfects his mental products. All in all, it is more effective and enjoyable to work five days a week for shorter hours.机经Prompt: Teachers were more appreciated and valued by the society in the past than they are now?The debate about whether teachers’social status has risen has been fueled. Many people believe that the technology advance emphasize the role of professional knowledge, thus elevating teachers’importance. However, the modern societal development actually impairs the respect many teachers receive. As molders of the next generation, most teachers are devoting their entire life to education. However, mobile phones, computers and other high-tech devices have invaded into classrooms ranging from middle school to graduate school. A considerable number of students, especially teenagers, are lured by the novel and captivating devices so that classroom becomes their paradise to enjoy music, watch movies and even chat in groups on the Internet. My classmate, Tommy, is a compelling example. During a math class, when everybody was supposed to follow the teacher, take down notes and comprehend all the points, Tommy, with a laptop on his desk, was actually playing video games while pretending to be taking notes. Such indifference to the knowledge our math instructor was passing is flaunting defiance to the teacher. Had the teacher known what Tommy was truly doing, she would have wept heavily.Apart from the interference of the side effect of technology, people’s desire to create also hinders the increasing appreciation for teachers. As the society requires inventions in all walks of life, the train-like education path—primary school to university—is marginalized by numerous students who are fascinated with DIY car making or are ambitious to crack out a road in business. For instance, my uncle, after narrowly passed his high school graduation exam, set about opening chain stores in my hometown. Even if he failed to receive college education and sometimes mocked the spoon-feeding formal education and over-strict teachers, he still achieved his distinction by owning the most prevalent chain store—Family mart—in the city. The confidence that without the assistance of teachers, one can still fulfill his value diminishes the role teachers are playing. In conclusion, teachers’ status is waning due to the booming technology and people’s greater expectations to create.。

Which one of the reason is most important in helping students to succeed in study colleges and universities?A.Having access to the university to tutors who can provide individual instuction for the students who have difficulty in studyB. Having the help and encouragement from the family and friends.C.Having an quality education in high-school who can help the students before the university.2018年9月4日16:3016:53开始写-17:36What factors can help boost students' success in study collegs and universities has been the focus of higher education and triggers a heated discussion over the following three supports: access to tutor who can provide individual instruction, help and encourage from the family and friends, and an quality education at high-school. Each of them plays a significant role in the individual study success but personally getting access to tutors can be most important.Tutors are instrumental in helping students at college get more useful information and individual study assisstance. First, as tutors normally are better informed the appropriate way of learning in unversity than students, having access to these tutors allow students to get much specfic and useful information on class and after-class learning oppourtunities, which is beneficial for their success. Furthmore, sudents are able to get personalized suggestions through interaction with well-experienced tutors. This is because only by one to one talk or inteview can we become more familiar with students and give proper advicee. Take study plan for example, although it is not difficult to download learning materials and others' plan, these may not function well for them due to the personal difference. In this circumtance, asking a tutor for assisting to make a schedule is a more effective way.More significantly, acess to tutors can also contribute to the students' interpersonal skills. During interaction with tutors, students can not only obtain vital information in study mentioned above, their nonvebal communication, engaged listening can also be honed. For students, especially those who are particular shy, having acess to tutors can provide them a valuable oppurtunity to communicate with others, which increase their confidence and competitiveness in their study.Universities, with the purpose of cultivating students learning, should provide tutors as many as possible for the students, so as to enhance their academic learning.2017年3月11日It is better to relax by watching a movie or reading a book than by doing physical exercise.2018年9月13日星期四18:12-18:46In a modern society, approaches of getting relax, an indispensable element in a hectic life, are diversified. How to relax better has been a focus of people’s attention and triggers a heated discussion. Some individuals tend to relax themselves by movies and books, however, my perspective is that doing physical exercise is a better way to get relax.Physical activities serve as a great opportunity to expand your social network and strengthen a bond with others, thus reducing our pressure. To be more specific, doing sports can provide people with access to meet new friends who share mutual interest with them. It is more likely that individuals establish friendship with this kind of person, who are the ones you are more willing to ask for help when confronting obstacles or pressure. In addition, physical exercise also enable us to maintain relationship with acquaintance. Through these activities, you can not only refresh your body, but also bond with friends.Furthermore, physical are also a great distracter from our tight schedule. Unlike reading books or watching movies, which may require thinking and even contemplation, doing sports is less demanding and can turn our attention from the unfinished tasks to our own, which will definitely make us less stressed and refreshing. For instance, swimming in the pool is a wonderful experience and focusing on your arms and legs will prevent you from worrying about the upcoming final. While immersed in books or movies may undermine your eyesight and make you feel much more tired.Considering that physical activities are beneficial for social network and break from overload, it is safe to come to the conclusion that doing physical activities is a rather wise choice to relax.2017年2月18日Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Sometimes we are assigned to work in a group on a project. The group will be helped more by a person who will be willing to do what other group members want than by person who often stongly insist that things should be done in a way that is different from what the group wants to do.

Among its four sections, the TOEFL Writing section often proves to be a challenging hurdle for many test takers. However, with the right strategies and techniques, one can effectively overcome this challenge and excel in their TOEFL Writing scores.Understanding the TOEFL Writing Section:The TOEFL Writing section consists of two tasks - an Integrated Writing task and an Independent Writing task. The Integrated Writing task assesses the test taker's ability to combine information from a reading passage and a listening lecture, while the Independent Writing task evaluates the individual's capacity to express their own opinion on a given topic. Let us dive into each task to understand the key points.Integrated Writing Task:The Integrated Writing task requires test takers to read a passage and listen to a related lecture. The passage usually puts forth a certain position, and the lecture tends to challenge or add new information to the passage. To excel in this task, it is crucial to carefully understand the main points in both the reading and the listening material and effectively summarize the information in a cohesive and accurate manner.Tips for the Integrated Writing task:1. Take effective notes while listening to the lecture to ensure you capture the main ideas and supporting examples.2. Focus on the relationships between the passage and lecture, highlighting any contrasts or additional points made by the speaker.3. Use your notes to create an outline before starting your response, ensuring a well-organized and coherent essay.4. Demonstrate your understanding of the material by using paraphrasing techniques and incorporating specific examples from both the reading and listening components.Independent Writing Task:The Independent Writing task requires test takers to express their own opinion on a given topic and provide detailed reasons and examples to support their viewpoint. This task assesses the ability to develop coherent ideas, use appropriate vocabulary and grammar, and present a well-structured argument.Tips for the Independent Writing task:1. Plan your essay before writing, outlining the main points you want to include and the supporting examples you will provide.2. Use varied sentence structures, appropriate grammar, and vocabulary to showcase your language proficiency.3. State a clear thesis statement in the introduction and ensure that each subsequent paragraph supports and expands on that main idea.4. Provide specific examples and evidence to back up your claims, making your essay more persuasive and convincing.5. Take time to proofread your essay and make necessary corrections for grammar, punctuation, and spelling errors.Overall Strategies for TOEFL Writing Success:1. Practice regularly by attempting a wide range of TOEFL Writing practice tasks, focusing on both Integrated and Independent tasks.2. Familiarize yourself with the scoring rubric to better understand the criteria used to evaluate your writing.3. Work on improving your overall English proficiency, including grammar, vocabulary, and sentence structure.4. Seek feedback from native English speakers or experienced TOEFL instructors to identify areas for improvement and gain valuable insights. Conclusion:Mastering the TOEFL Writing section requires deliberate practice, familiarity with the test format, and a solid understanding of effective writing strategies. By honing your skills in integrated reading and listening, developing strong independent arguments, and employing sound essay-writing techniques, you can significantly boost your TOEFL Writing scores. Remember to practice regularly and seek guidance when needed, and soon you will be on your way to achieving TOEFL success.。

When people move to another country, some of them decide to follow the customs of the new country; other prefers to keep their own customs. Compare these two ways and make your own choice. (2002.5)Some people think governments should spend as much money as possible expiring outer space( for example, traveling to the Moon and to other planets)。

Does technology make children less creative than in the past?First and foremost, technology has provided children with easy access to scientific and liberal art resources which is their best source of inspiration. For example, children could now easily gain access to academic databases through iPad screen, read classical works on Kindle, or watch historic documents on Internet. These great works are essentially helpful to arousing their curiosity and prepares them with key knowledge necessary for any creation. However, these wonderful equipments and facilities are never as handy in the past, when kids could only reach limited resources in public libraries or schools. In this sense, technology has provided the possibility for children to be more creative.

When you get into a movie theater, you would usually see a group of people stack in front of the posters about latest science-fiction movies, and horror films, but only few people are interested in the posters which introduce the movies relate to our real life. This shows movies have little ink with our life are more popular and attractive to people nowadays. From my perspective, they are worth to watch for inspiring us and warning.
First of all, movies that do not relate to our real life such as science- fiction movies and cartoon films may be the key of a new world. The movie INTERSTELLAR which I watched last year talked about how people explore the space outside the Earth and try to find a suitable planet for people to live. After watching it I did plenty of research about the universe. At the same time, physics appeared on my interests’ list and astronomy even become one of the major that I am willing to learn in the university. This movie unlocked the filed which I have ignored for a long time and lead my life to a brand new way.
It is true that life-related movie could teach some valuable things about the real society we are facing, however others movies also worth to watch for enriching our mental world and expending the knowledge we have. When you go the movie theater do not only focus on life-related movies, paying some attention to other movies may bring some surprising discoveries.。
