吉姆-罗杰斯:我的第一桶金Jim Rogers: My First MillionPublished: November 20 2009 18:26 | Last updated: November 20 2009 18:26Since Jim Rogers, 67, co-founded the Quantum Fund with George Soros he has worked as a guest professor of finance at Columbia University and as an economic commentator. In 1998, he founded the Rogers International Commodities Index (RICI).He is the author of A Bull in China, Hot Commodities, Adventure Capitalist and Investment Biker. His latest book isA Gift to My Children, a father’s l essons for life and investing.EDITOR’S CHOICEMy first million: More columns about how the wealthy manage their money - Oct-31Raised in Alabama, Rogers started in business at the age of five, collecting empty soda bottles at the local baseball field. After graduating from Yale University in 1964, he won a scholarship to Balliol College, Oxford. He then got his first job on Wall Street.Rogers now lives in Singapore with his wife and their two young daughters.Did you think you would get to where you are?No, I am as surprised as anyone. I certainly wanted to get somewhere and was willing to work hard. I wanted to retire young, but I never thought I would retire before 40.When you realised that you had made your first million were you tempted to slow down?I can remember the exact day of my first million dollars’ net worth. It was in November 1977. I was 35. I knew I needed more than that to do what I wanted when I was 37 – the age I decided to stop working to seek adventure. What is the secret of your success? As I was not smarter than most people, I was willing to work harder than most. I was prepared to examine conventional wisdom. If everyone thinks one way, it is likely to be wrong. If you can figure out that it is wrong, you are likely to make a lot of money. What is your basic investment strategy?Buy low and sell high. I try to find something that is very cheap, where a positive change is taking place. Then I do enough homework to make sure I am right. It has got to be cheap so that, if I am wrong, I don’t lose much money. Everytime I make a mistake, it is usually because I did not do enough homework.Do not underestimate the value of due diligence. In the 1960s, General Motors was the world’s most successful company. One day, a GM analyst went to the board of directors with the message: “The Japanese are coming.” They ignored him. Investors who did their homework sold their GM stock – and bought Toyota instead.I’m not buying any stocks at the moment. If anything is undervalued now it is commodities and some currencies. What has been your most spectacular gain? The Quantum Fund. When we started the company in 1970, I had $600 in my pocket. Within 10 years, the portfolio had gained 4,200 per cent.Do you want to carry on till you drop? No. These days, I spend very few hours a day working, becauseI have two little girls and I want to spend as much time with them as possible. Both our girls have a Chinese governess and speak fluent Mandarin. For their generation, Mandarin and English will be the most important languages.Have you made any pension provision?I don’t have a pension because I hope I don’t need one. I have accumulated assets and that is what I live on.What is your commitment to charity?I have given money to students and schools around the world.I try to give scholarships to students rather than schools, because the students need the money more than administrators.Do you allow yourself the odd indulgence?I have been around the world twice. Setting off in 1990, I spent22 months travelling through six continents on a motorcycle. On my second trip, which started in 1999, my wife and I travelled for three years through 116 countries in a custom-made Mercedes. What is the most you have ever paid for a bottle of fine wine or champagne?I don’t have an upper limit for champagne, but I’ve never had the urge to spend $2,000 on a bottle of wine. I always remember my background. I did not have money as a kid.Picasso or Art Deco as an investment?I am at a stage where I am not interested in having or amassing stuff.Do you believe in passing your wealth to children?I’ve always thought that, if you give children too much, you will ruin them. I have set up my will so they don’t get muchuntil they are at least 30.I went to Yale and Oxford and a lot of rich kids were there who never had to work. I know I want my children to be well-educated and experience the workplace.Education and the necessity to work changed my life and yanked me out of the backwater of Alabama.Where should people put their money in the recession?Invest only in things you know something about. The mistake most people make is that they listen to hot tips, or act on something they read in magazines. Most people know a lot about something, so they should just stick to what they know and buy an investment in that area. That is how you get rich. You don’t get rich investing in things you know nothing about.Which of the following is a fact stated in this article?A:Jim Rogers is born rich.B:Jim Rogers still works long hours now.C:Jim Rogers speaks fluent Chinese.D:Jim Rogers had his daughters at relatively old age.………………………….……………………………………………….…………..DHe's 67 and have two young daughters.Which of the following is true about Jim Rogers' investing strategy? A: Buy assets at cheap priceB: Only buy into areas that he's familiar withC: Pay attention to the future growth.D: All of the above………………………….………………………..…………………..………………………...……..…DBuy low and sell high. I try to find something that is very cheap, where a positive change is taking place. Then I do enough homework to make sure I am right. It has got to be cheap so that, if I am wrong, I don’t lose much money. Every time I make a mistake, it is usually because I did not do enough homework.According to the article, which of the following does Jim Rogers hold to be true?A: Work is a necessity.B: Stock is the best investment.C: In order to get rich, you need to take risks.D: Family is above your career.…………………………….…………………….……………..………..……AEducation and the necessity to work changed my life and yanked me out of the backwater of Alabama.Which of the following is Jim Rogers most proud of?A: Raising two kidsB: The Quantum fundC: His charity contributionD: Travelling the world……………………………………………………………………………….……………………….….BWhat has been your most spectacular gain? The Quantum Fund. 出身富裕家庭的学生的英文

出身富裕家庭的学生的英文

出身富裕家庭的学生的英文Here is an essay on the topic of "Students from Wealthy Families" with more than 1,000 words, written in English without any additional titles or unnecessary punctuation marks.Growing up in a wealthy family can present both advantages and challenges for students. On one hand, these students often have access to resources and opportunities that may not be available to their peers from less affluent backgrounds. However, they may also face unique social and emotional obstacles that can impact their educational experiences and personal development. One of the primary benefits of coming from a wealthy family is the financial security and resources that are available to support a student's academic pursuits. These students may have the ability to attend prestigious private schools, participate in enrichment programs, and access high-quality tutoring and educational materials. They may also have the opportunity to travel extensively, exposing them to diverse cultures and expanding their worldviews.Additionally, students from wealthy families often have the luxury of focusing solely on their studies without the need to worry aboutfinancial constraints or part-time employment. This can allow them to devote more time and energy to their academic work, potentially leading to higher academic achievement and the ability to pursue more specialized or advanced coursework. However, the advantages of wealth can also bring their own set of challenges. One common issue is the perception of privilege and entitlement that can surround these students. Their peers, teachers, and even the broader community may view them as being "spoiled" or having an unfair advantage, which can lead to resentment, social isolation, and a lack of respect for their accomplishments.Furthermore, the high expectations and pressure to succeed that often accompany a wealthy upbringing can be a significant source of stress and anxiety for these students. They may feel a constant need to live up to the success of their parents or to maintain a certain level of academic and extracurricular achievement, which can be emotionally draining and negatively impact their mental health.Another challenge faced by students from wealthy families is the potential for a lack of exposure to diverse perspectives and experiences. Growing up in a bubble of privilege can make it difficult for these students to develop empathy, understand the struggles of those from different socioeconomic backgrounds, and appreciate the value of hard work and perseverance.Additionally, the social circles and networks that these students are exposed to may be limited to other wealthy individuals, which can further reinforce a sense of exclusivity and separation from the broader community. This can make it challenging for them to develop meaningful connections with people from diverse backgrounds and to understand the realities of the world beyond their immediate experience.Despite these challenges, however, students from wealthy families also have the potential to use their privilege and resources in positive ways. They can leverage their access to opportunities and their financial security to make a meaningful impact on their communities, whether through philanthropic endeavors, social justice initiatives, or the pursuit of careers that address societal needs. For example, a student from a wealthy family may choose to study public policy or social work, using their education and resources to advocate for marginalized communities and work towards systemic change. Alternatively, they may decide to start a non-profit organization or social enterprise that provides resources and support to those in need.By embracing a sense of social responsibility and a commitment to making a positive difference, students from wealthy families can usetheir privilege as a platform for creating positive change and challenging the negative perceptions that may surround them.In conclusion, the experience of being a student from a wealthy family is a complex one, with both advantages and challenges. While these students may have access to resources and opportunities that can support their academic and personal development, they must also navigate the social and emotional obstacles that come with their privileged status.Ultimately, the key for these students is to find a balance between embracing the benefits of their wealth while also developing a deep sense of empathy, social awareness, and a commitment to using their privilege to make a positive impact on the world around them. By doing so, they can not only achieve academic and professional success but also contribute to the betterment of society as a whole.。

from rags to riches阅读理解From rags to riches is a popular idiom that describes a person's journey of overcoming poverty and achieving great wealth or success. This phrase is often used to highlight stories of individuals who have started with very little and through hard work, determination, and perseverance, have made a remarkable transformation in their lives. These stories typically serve as an inspiration to others, demonstrating that the impossible can be achieved with the right mindset and actions. One remarkable example of a rags-to-riches story is that of Andrew Carnegie, a Scottish immigrant who entered the United States in the mid-19th century. Carnegie started his life in America working as a bobbin boy in a cotton factory, earning only $1.20 per week. Despite his humble beginnings, Carnegie became one of the wealthiest individuals in the world, known for his success in the steel industry.Carnegie's rise to riches can be attributed to several key factors. Firstly, he possessed a strong work ethic and was willing to work long hours to improve his situation. He actively sought opportunities for learning outside of his work hours, utilizing libraries and educational institutions to acquire knowledge that would later prove valuable in his business endeavors. Additionally, Carnegie displayed an entrepreneurial spirit and a knack for identifying profitable opportunities. He took advantage of the burgeoning steel industry, investing in companies and technologies that would eventually lead to his vast wealth. Moreover, he was a visionary leader, capable of building a strongteam and creating efficient systems and processes within his businesses.Another rags-to-riches story worth mentioning is that of Oprah Winfrey, who grew up in poverty in rural Mississippi. Winfrey faced numerous challenges throughout her childhood, including poverty, abuse, and discrimination. However, through talent, hard work, and determination, she overcame these obstacles to become one of the most influential women in the world.Winfrey's journey to success began in the media industry. Starting as a local radio reporter, she quickly rose to prominence with her natural interviewing skills and charismatic personality. This eventually led to the launch of her own television talk show, "The Oprah Winfrey Show," which became one of the highest-rated programs in television history.Aside from her talk show, Winfrey diversified her business ventures, becoming an actress, producer, and philanthropist. She used her platform to address various social issues and advocate for empowerment and self-improvement. Through her media empire, Winfrey accumulated significant wealth and became a prominent figure in American culture. Both Carnegie and Winfrey's stories demonstrate that the journey from rags to riches is not an easy one. It requires hard work, perseverance, and a relentless pursuit of excellence. These individuals faced numerous setbacks and challenges along the way, but their unwavering determination and resilience propelled them to success. Moreover, their stories highlight the importance of education and continuous self-improvement. Both Carnegie and Winfrey actively sought knowledge and used it to their advantage. They recognized the power of learning, and it became a driving force behind their achievements. In conclusion, rags-to-riches stories serve as powerful inspirations for individuals striving to overcome adversity and achieve great success. They remind us that with the right mindset, hard work, and determination, individuals can transcend their circumstances and create an extraordinary life. Whether it be Andrew Carnegie's success in the steel industry or Oprah Winfrey's rise to media dominance, these stories demonstrate that everyone has the potential to transform their lives and go from rags to riches.。

The Nature of Human Beings: Innate orAcquired? The debate surrounding the origin of human nature –whether it is innate or acquired – has captivated philosophers, psychologists, and thinkers for centuries. This complex discussion explores the intersection of genetics, environment, and socialization in shaping an individual's character and behavior. In this essay, we delve into the nuances of this argument, considering both sides and examining the evidence that supports each perspective.**The Argument for Innate Human Nature**The theory of innate human nature suggests that our fundamental traits and tendencies are hardwired into our genetics. This perspective posits that humans are born with a set of predispositions that guide their behavior and development. For instance, some theorists believe that we are born with an innate sense of morality, justice, or empathy. Others argue that specific cognitive abilities, such as language acquisition or mathematical reasoning, are innately programmed into our brains.Supporters of this view often cite studies in the field of genetics, which have identified genetic markers associated with various traits and behaviors. Thesefindings suggest that there is a genetic component to human nature, which cannot be ignored. Additionally, the existence of universal human experiences, such as the need for归属感和安全感, is often cited as evidence for the innate nature of human behavior.**The Argument for Acquired Human Nature**On the other hand, the argument for acquired human nature emphasizes the role of environment and socialization in shaping an individual's character and behavior. This perspective maintains that humans are blank slates at birth and that their nature is primarily determined by their experiences and interactions with the world.Proponents of this view argue that the environment provides the context for the development of human traits. They point to the significant impact of parenting styles, peer groups, cultural norms, and societal expectations on an individual's psychological and behavioral development. For example, the way a child is raised can significantlyinfluence their sense of morality, empathy, and social skills. Moreover, the adaptability of humans to different environments further supports the argument for acquired nature. We are able to learn new behaviors, adapt to changing circumstances, and develop new traits as we interact with our surroundings. This suggests that human nature is not fixed but rather fluid and responsive to external factors.**The Interplay of Innate and Acquired Factors**In reality, the debate between innate and acquired human nature is not a matter of either/or. Instead, it is more accurate to say that both innate and acquired factors play a role in shaping human nature. Geneticpredispositions may provide the foundation, but they are often modulated by environmental factors and socialization. For example, studies have shown that while genetic factors may contribute to a person's temperament or cognitive abilities, these traits are often influenced by environmental factors such as parenting styles or educational opportunities. Similarly, while humans may beborn with an innate sense of morality or empathy, the development of these traits is shaped by social norms and cultural values.**Conclusion**The nature of human beings is a complex and multifaceted phenomenon that cannot be neatly categorized as either innate or acquired. Instead, it is a dynamic interplay between genetic predispositions and environmental factors. Understanding this interplay is crucial for comprehending human behavior and character development. By acknowledging the role of both innate and acquired factors, we can gain a deeper understanding of the human condition and the ways in which we are shaped by our unique combinations of genetics and environment.**人的本性:天生的还是后天的?**关于人的本性是天生的还是后天的这一辩论,几个世纪以来一直吸引着哲学家、心理学家和思想家。

铁皮人 英文介绍

《铁皮人》英文介绍"Tin Man" is a captivating mini-series adaptation of L. Frank Baum's classic children's science fiction novel, "The Wizard of Oz." Directed by a visionary team and starring a talented ensemble cast, including Katehleen Robertson and Zooey Deschanel, this mystical tale transports viewers to a profoundly imaginary world, filled with adventure, intrigue, and powerful themes of self-discovery and resilience. The story revolves around DG, a young girl portrayed by Zooey Deschanel, who finds herself unexpectedly whisked away to a malevolent place called the Outer Zone. This dark and foreboding realm is a stark contrast to the familiar and comfortable world she once knew. However, DG is not one to shrink from a challenge. Armed with courage and curiosity, she embarks on a fantastical journey to find her way back home.Along her perilous path, DG encounters a diverse array of characters, each with their own unique story and role to play in her quest. Among them is the Tin Man, a mechanical being with a heart of gold, literally encased in a tin exterior. Despite his artificial nature, the Tin Man harbors deep emotions and desires, longing for a true heart and the ability to feel love and compassion. His relationship with DG is both touching and transformative, as they learn from each other and find strength in their shared experiences. The visual style of "Tin Man" is as captivating as its narrative. The Outer Zone is rendered in vivid detail, a blend of gothic grandeur and industrial decay that creates a sense of both awe and dread. The costumes and set design are equally imaginative, drawing inspiration from a range of sources to create a unique and cohesive visual language. One of the most striking aspects of "Tin Man" is its exploration of themesof identity and self-worth. DG's journey is not just a physical one but also an emotional and spiritual odyssey as she grapples with who she is and what she wants. The series challenges conventional ideas of heroism and villainy, presenting a nuanced view of human nature that allows for growth, redemption, and the possibility of change. The acting in "Tin Man" is uniformly excellent. Zooey Deschanel brings a perfect blend of innocence and determination to the role of DG, making her both relatable and admirable. Katehleen Robertson delivers a powerful performance as the Tin Man, conveying a range of emotions through subtle physicality and vocal nuance. The supporting cast, including a host of talented actors, round out the ensemble with memorable performances that enrich the story's emotional depth. In conclusion, "Tin Man" is a mini-series that defies easy categorization. It is at once a faithful adaptation of a beloved children's classic, a visually arresting work of art, and a profound exploration of universal themes of identity, love, and courage. With its engaging characters, imaginative world-building, and powerful message of hope and resilience, "Tin Man" is a must-watch for fans of fantasy, science fiction, and thought-provoking drama.。

The development of those resources will cause the manifestation of prosperity in your material world.Material wealth is a normal and natural state for you to live in. The first segment of your Born Rich program is designed to help you fully adopt that truth. The ideas and exercises in this program must be dealt with in a most serious manner. Do not permit the apparent simplicity of the various exercises to deceive you. Every exercise is directed at altering your CONDITIONED MIND which is controlling your material state.Intellectual comprehension of this program is not difficult. In a relatively short period of time, you will be prepared to correctly answer a battery of questions about your Born Rich program. Then, you could very quickly say “I KNOW” with respect to the various topics you are about to study. However,KNOWING and DOING are poles apart.“Education does not meanteaching people what they do not know.It means teaching themto behave as they do not behave.”John RuskinThe compensation you will receive for giving the following exercises your full attention and most serious consideration will astound you. A clear understanding of where the journey begins;2.Check points en route to help you stay on course;3. A clear understanding of your destination; and,4. A commitment to successfully complete the journey, regardlessof the detours you might encounter en route. You will agree that a person would be very foolish to tell themselves they are presently in Atlanta, Georgia and their destination is Dallas, Texas, if in fact they were actually in Calgary, A lberta with Dallas, Texas as their destination. Unbelievable as it may seem, this is the classical error millions of people philosophically make with their lives. They are not completely honest with themselves when it comes to recognizing where they presently are.Honest answers to every question and serious consideration to every exercise and suggestion will clearly indicate:1.Where your journey begins;2.Mental adjustments that must be made; and3.Approximate time it will take to complete this journey. Before you become emerged in your Born Rich program, form the attitude that this program has been prepared especially for you. Imagine that the author and speaker is a dear, personal friend whom you have chosen as your mentor. Make a commitment to yourself that you will follow every instruction necessary to alter your old conditioned behavior.Rather than merely listen to the messages, questions and exercises—THINK! THINK DEEP, PENETRATING THOUGHTS. A sk yourself—what does this mean to me? How can I apply this idea in my life?Set aside a definite period of time every day, weekends andholidays included, for the proper use of your Born Rich program. You eat every day to nourish your body. (This is something that almost all wealthy people do.) That is to say that wealthy individuals follow the advice of financial experts. It is similar in principle to the idea that if a person’s body were sick, he or she would likely seek out a skilled physician for advice. Moreover, you should also keep in mind that even healthy people, if they are wise, periodically go to a doctor for a check-up. In other words, you do not always need to get sick in order to get better .It has already been brought to your attention that very few people ever develop real expertise in the area of serious “financial planning.”Therefore, you should seek out a competent financial counselor ,in much the same manner as you would seek assistance in matters of a legal nature. There are companies that provide this type of financial service in every city. In some places they are not too easy to find, but they are there, if you will only look for them.People fall into three distinct categories with respect to “finances:”1.Deficit position (in debt);2.Break-even position (just getting by, debt-free); and3.Surplus position. It would be very easy to “trick” oneself into believing that, if one were in category one or two, all one must do is earn more money, and then one would automatically graduate into the third category. But, of course, this is not necessarily true. If a person is in a deficit financial position, it means they are in the “habit” of spending more money than they earn. Similarly, if they are in a break-even position, they are in the habit of spending everything they earn. Since we are all “creatures of habit,” it follows that earning more money would not necessarily change our overall financial position. It is, therefore, vitally important that when you decide “how much is enough,” you also design a new financial plan, or have one designed for you, which will force you to discipline yourself—at least for a month or two—until you form the new habit of living by that new plan .B ORN R ICH19There are only two ways to earn money.1.People at work.2.Money at work.I will have an appointment with a competent financial plannerby .DateThe figure below is the amount of money I need to provide for the thingsI want, to live the way I choose to live.$NOTES20B ORN R ICHNOTES22B ORN R ICHTake the next few minutes and re-read the chapter, The Image-Maker,from, You Were Born Rich .In your opinion, what is the most important point in this chapter?___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________The results you are presently experiencing in your life are the physical manifestation of the images in your sub-conscious mind that are directing your life. Are you satisfied with your results?Yes NoList the results you want to change.1._____________________________________2._____________________________________3._____________________________________4._____________________________________5._____________________________________6._____________________________________7._____________________________________8._____________________________________9._____________________________________10._____________________________________B ORN R ICH23“We act, behave and feelaccording to what we consider our SELF-IMAGE to beand we do not deviate from this pattern.”Dr. Maxwell MaltzDr. Maltz also explained that the image you hold of yourself is a premise,a base or a foundation upon which your entire personality is built. He concluded, this image not only controls your behavior, it controls your circumstances as well.We will now explore the concept of CYBERNETICS. It will become apparent to you that there is, in fact, a control panel in your marvelous mind that can be set by you to achieve the results you want.CYBERNETICS ... is the science of control and communication in the animal and some machines. It is based on the fact that both biological organisms and some machines have sensors that measure deviation from a set goal. With their faces turned toward the sunshine, they try to see the good, even in the bad. Such individuals habitually think thoughts of a positive nature and they are a blessing to the world.NEGATIVE PERSONALITIES look upon the dark, gloomy, depressing side of life. Even the good holds some bad for them. They talk about it, anticipate it, expect it and invariably they will get what they are looking for.Their state of mind can be compared to the person who, upon being asked how they felt, said, “I feel alright today but I might feel bad tomorrow.”NEGATIVE PERSONALITIES are depressing to everyone around them.Their facial expressions take on the symptoms of their negative thoughts. When two objects are in resonance or while within the sphere of relative motion of each other, vibration can be transmitted from one to the other through the medium of the electron. Resonance is concerned with the electromagnetic fields surrounding objects. We find that a globe in a chandelier will vibrate when in resonance with a certain key on a piano, yet it will not vibrate to any other key on the piano. The two objects are of entirely different material and shape; still they are in resonance due to the fact that their ultimate magnetic fields are the same. They are within the same sphere of relative motion, and this holds true regardless of their size, shape or of the elements of which the objects are composed. All electromagnetic waves or quantums have their rate of frequency, which means the number of changes in direction per second. The electric wave spectrum is in a “SCALE OF VIBRATION” and is divided into regions. One must remember that these regions are not actual divisions by merely arbitrary spaces covering frequencies that manifest to our senses in different ways, each region blending into both the one above and the one below, without any definite line of demarcation.YOU—THE EARTH—and the UNIVERSE are all but degrees in one scale and all are in their basic nature, the SAME. The difference being solely a matter of degree or rate of vibration (frequency). All are manifestations of energy. When the world understands this great truth, we will see that all people are the same, they only appear to be different. The dividing lines are not borders, color nor language, but IGNORANCE. You attract whatever or whomever you are in harmonious vibration with. The results vary, the people remain the same.“KNOW THE TRUTH AND THE TRUTH WILL SET YOU FREE.”44B ORN R ICHEVERYTHING IS AN EXPRESSIONOF THE SAME THINGEverything in this entire universe is connected through the LAW OF VIBRATION. Just as the colors in a RAINBOW are connected, you are not able to tell where one color stops and the other one starts ... or just as the water that boils is connected to the steam it transmutes into, and then the same into the other. You are connected to everything in the universe and everything with you.Whether you can see it with the naked eye or not is unimportant. The only difference between one thing and another is in density or amplitude of vibration. When you choose certain THOUGHTS, brain cells are affected; they vibrate and send off electric waves. When you concentrate on those thoughts, you increase the amplitude of vibration of those cells and the electric waves become much more potent.Know that you are originating those electric waves and KNOW that you are also determining the density of them by your own choice. You must also KNOW that since you are originating these electric waves, your whole being is in that particular vibration. We have already covered the point that two objects may be of entirely different material and shape—still they can be in RESONANCE due to the fact that their ultimate magnetic fields are the same. They are within the same sphere of relative motion. Keep in mind the point covered on page 43 in this booklet, that RESONANCE is the governing factor of the transmitting of vibration. When you hold the image of your goal on the screen of your mind, in the present tense, you are vibrating in harmony with every particle of energy that is necessary for the manifestation of your image on the PHYSICAL PLANE. By holding that image, those particles of energy are moving toward you and you toward them—because that is the LAW.BORN R ICH45BRAIN—THE BODYThe human body is the most efficient electrical instrument in the entireuniverse. The human brain is probably the most efficient electrical instrument ever evolved. Both are marvels. The BRAIN is that part of the body where all manner of frequencies are transformed from one frequency to another. In the brain, sensations are transformed into muscular action. SOUND, HEAT, LIGHT and THOUGHT are also, each in their turn, transformed into other frequencies, each affecting the BODY.Within the BRAIN are centers that control and regulate the functioning of all the organs and parts of the body. By proper stimulation of these centers, the functioning of the organs may be controlled. In our seminars, we refer to this as the VIBRATORY CONTROL OF THE BODY.In the final analysis, the BRAIN is a vibratory instrument. To begin to understand its functioning, you must study the LAW OF VIBRATION.Since the early 1940s we have had the EEG, the ELECTROENCEPHALOGRAPH, which reads the ELECTRICAL ACTIVITY OF THE BRAIN and the ELECTROCARDIOGRAPH, which traces the electrical changes of the contractions of the heart.Vibrations are not something new to us. We are all aware of them. The problem we encounter is that the vast majority of people are not aware of the connection between THEIR VIBRATION A ND THEIR RESULTS IN LIFE.It is unfortunately very common to see a person in what could be called a BAD OR CONFUSED VIBRATION and at the same time busily attempting to get GOOD RESULTS.That could be compared to a person jumping off the top of a building, trying to go up. The RESULT would be obvious.。
