Is a Test of Spoken English Necessary In many kinds of English tests such as CET (College English Test), TEM (Test for English majors), etc。

a test of spoken English will be optional。

Some people consider that it is unquestionably necessary to hold a test of spoken English in China because spoken English is as important as written English。

Both of them are effective munication ways for English speakers。

2exams are an essential part of learning and life. they are also the best time to test your learning achievements.in our life, there will always be another test and another dazzling score.for students, marks are everything, leaving marks is like fish leaving water and losing everything.for students with good grades, examinations are not so much a boon as a chance to show off their talents.but for underachieving students, it's not an exaggeration to say that exams are more like jail time. they can be intimidating and stressful.but i think grades are not everything. exams are just a milestone in learning.there are so many difficulties in life. only by defeating them one by one, our life will be more beautiful!

1. Describe an experience that taught you something valuable. In the tapestry of life, we encounter myriad experiences that shape our perspectives and impart invaluable lessons. One such experience that left an enduring imprint on my mind and spirit unfolded during my tenure as a volunteer at a local soup kitchen. As I stepped into the bustling kitchen, I was greeted by a cacophony of sounds and a palpable sense of purpose. The air was thick with the aroma of simmering broth and the chatter of volunteers and patrons alike. My initial trepidation melted away as I immersed myself in the tasks at hand, ladling out hot meals and engaging in warm conversations with the individuals who came seeking sustenance. With each interaction, my preconceived notions about the homeless population were shattered. I encountered individuals from all walks of life, each with their own unique story to tell. There was a former corporate executive who had lost everything in the economic downturn, a single mother struggling to make ends meet, and a war veteran haunted by the horrors he had witnessed. As I listened to their stories, I realized that homelessness is not a condition but a circumstance. These individuals were not defined by their lack of material possessions but by their resilience and unwavering hope. Their indomitable spirits inspired me to question my own assumptions and to appreciate the fragility of human existence. Moreover, my experience at the soup kitchen taught me the profound value of compassion and empathy. Serving those in need fostered within me a sense of interconnectedness and a deep understanding of the challenges faced by marginalized communities. It instilled in me a desire touse my voice and resources to advocate for the less fortunate and to create a more just and equitable society.2. It is often in the face of adversity that we discover our true strength and resilience. One such challenge that tested my limits and ultimately propelled me to new heights was my decision to pursue higher education while balancing a demanding career and family responsibilities. The initial allure of academic exploration quickly faded as I grappled with the rigors of coursework, the endless hours spent studying, and the inevitable sacrifices I had to make. The weight of my responsibilities seemed unbearable at times, and the temptation to abandon my dream was ever-present.Yet, amidst the chaos and self-doubt, I found solace in the unwavering support of my loved ones and the realizationthat I was not alone in this endeavor. I sought guidance from mentors, connected with fellow students, and developed a meticulous study plan that balanced my commitments. With each small step forward, my confidence grew. The challenges I faced became opportunities for learning and personal growth. I learned the importance of time management, perseverance, and the power of positive thinking. The journey was arduous, but it transformed me into a more capable, adaptable, and resilient individual.3. Share your thoughts on the importance of diversity and inclusion in society. In an increasingly interconnected world, diversity and inclusion are not merely buzzwords but fundamental pillars of a thriving society. They encompass the celebration of our differences, the recognition of our shared humanity, and the creation of environments where all individuals feel valued and respected.Diversity brings a wealth of perspectives andexperiences to the table, fostering innovation, creativity, and problem-solving. It challenges our assumptions, expands our horizons, and promotes understanding between different groups. By embracing diversity, we create a more inclusive and equitable society where everyone has the opportunity to reach their full potential.Inclusion is the key to unlocking the transformative power of diversity. Cars and Air PollutionToo many cars have created a lot of serious problems in our world. Besides congestion, accidents and fast consumption, cars are responsible for a good part of air pollution in big cities. All the time, they are pumping huge amounts of waste gases into the atmosphere. These gases are very harmful, causing disease and even death. One possible solution is to design and develop clean cars and clean fuels. In Shanghai, some of the public buses begin to run on petrol. But it may take decades for the new models of clean cars to completely replace the traditional ones.Another solution is to develop modern public transportation systems and restrict the use of private cars. If the price of petrol rises constantly and the public vehicles are efficient and convenient enough, most people will not buy private cars. And the total number of cars in big cities will reduce greatly. On the whole, the elimination of air pollution needs the collective efforts from the government, the public and the environmentalists.2016年成人学位英语作文范文:城市问题Drection: For this part, you are allowed 30 minutes to write a composition on the topic City Problems. My name is Tommy and I'm going to write a really really really long essay for this big important test called the Postgradyat English Test. My teacher said I need to write 2000 whole words! That's like, a billion words! But I'm a tough kid, so I can do it. Easy peasy lemon squeezy!Introduction ParagraphFirst off, I gotta start with an intro pardygraph. That's where I say what my essay is gonna be about. Hmm...I know! I'll write about my favorite thing ever - MY DOG SPRINKLES! I just love that silly puppy so much. She's the funniest, cutest, most adorable doggy in the entire world. I could write a billion words about how awesome Sprinkles is!Body Paragraph 1Okay, now I need a body pardygraph. That's the middle part where I gotta write a ton of stuff. First body part, here I go!Sprinkles is the most cuddliest pup around. When I get home from school, she jumps up and down and licks my face like a million times. Then we snuggle up on the couch together and take a long nap. I'm getting sleepy just thinking about it! Snuggling with Sprinkles is simply the best.Body Paragraph 2Next body part coming up! Let me tell you about how Sprinkles loves to play fetch. I throw her favorite tennis ball and she goes zooming after it at a billion miles per hour. She catches it in her mouth and then comes sprinting back to me. Sometimes she brings it back, sometimes she lies down and makes me come get it. Such a silly puppy! We can play fetch for hours and hours and I never get bored.Body Paragraph 3Time for another body section! Hmm what else is great about Sprinkles? Oh I know! Her cuteness! She's just so stinking adorable I can't stand it. She has fuzzy floppy ears, a teeny tiny tail that won't stop wagging, and the biggest puppy dog eyes that make me melt into a puddle every time. I always want to hug her and squeeze her and snuggle her and never let go! She's the cutest thing that ever cuted. Conclusion ParagraphLastly, I gotta wrap this all up with akon-clu-shun pardygraph. That's where I sum up everything I said. Let me think...yep, got it! In con-cloo-shun, Sprinkles is 100% without a single doubt, the absolute best, most perfect, fantastic doggy in the multiverse. She's cuddly, playful, silly, and cute as a button. I love spending time with her more than anything! She brings me so much joy and happiness every single day. Thanks for reading my essay, teach! That was Way harder than I thought to write 2000 words, but I did it! Go me!That's my mega essay all done! I worked really really hard on it, so I think I deserve an A+++! What do you think, teach? Did you like reading about my beloved Sprinkles? She really is the greatest doggy ever. Well anyway, I'm outta here! Time for a nice long nap with my puppy pal. Thanks for the hard assignment, teach! It was actually kinda fun once I got going. Maybe I'll be a writer when I grow up! Okay bye!篇2The Best Day Ever!Oh boy, today was the BEST day ever! I had to wake up super early to take this big important test at the university. My momsaid it was a really really big deal and that I had to do my best. I was a little nervous, but mostly excited! When we got to the university, there were sooooo many people there. It was like a giant school for grown-ups! We had to go to this huge room with a bunch of desks all lined up in rows. It kinda felt like we were in the military or something. An old lady came in and told us all the rules in a very strict voice. No talking, no cheating, if we needed to go potty we had to raise our hand and an armed guard would take us. It was crazy! Finally, they passed out the test booklets. They were super thick, like big epic novels. I opened it up and was met with a bunch of reading passages and questions. The first one was about some boring science thing. I zoned out a little thinking about my Pokemon cards. After that was a story about a family on a road trip. Much more my speed! I blasted through those questions. Then we got to the writing section. This was the part my mom stressed about the most. She said I had to plan it out really well and include good examples and all that junk. I did my best to follow her advice. The prompt was: "What was the best day of your life and why?" Well, duh! That one was easy as pie. Here's what I wrote:The best day of my life was when I got my puppy Sprinkles for my 8th birthday. It was a total surprise! I came downstairs and there was this tiny little ball of fur waiting for me with a great big red bow on her head. I've wanted a puppy for forever and finally my dream came true.I spend every day playing with Sprinkles. We go on walks, chase each other around the backyard, and she even sleeps in my bed! Puppies are so much fun. They're like living teddy bears that love you unconditionally. No matter what kind of day I'm having, Sprinkles can always cheer me up with her wagging tail and wet kisses. Not only that, but taking care of Sprinkles has taught me responsibility. My mom and dad said if I wanted to keep her, I'd have to feed her every morning, give her fresh water, and even scoop her poop! At first I thought that sounded super gross. But you know what? It's not that bad when it's your own puppy. I've gotten used to it.Sprinkles has made me happier than anything else in the world. When I'm having a ruff day at school and got math tests kicked my butt, I know I can come home to Sprinkles' unconditional love. She never judges me; she's just my fluffy little sweetheart. I can hug her and feel all my worries melt away.So in summary, Sprinkles the puppy has brought me more joy and love than I could have ever imagined. She's a best friend, a cuddle buddy, and a responsibility all wrapped into one fuzzy package. Getting her for my 8th birthday was hand-down the most memorable, life-changing, tummy-tickling, amazing dayI've ever experienced. Hopefully there will be many more joyful days with Sprinkles in the years to come!Phew! I was pretty proud of that one. Using a lot of great details and everything. Maybe I'll be a writer when I grow up.After the writing part, we had to listen to some boring conversations and answer questions about them. My favorite was the one about the kid who snuck snacks into his bedroom every night and his mom kept finding the rappers everywhere. Cracked me up imagining it!Finally, after a gazillion hours trapped in that room, the old lady announced that time was up and we could all leave. I was sooo relieved! My hand was cramping like crazy from all that writing and bubbling. On the ride home I looked out the window and thought about how crazy this day had been. Waking up at the butt-crack of dawn, going to the big university, taking a super importanttest that will help decide my whole future... it was all a bit overwhelming for a kid like me. But I gave it my best shot!I really hoped I did well on the writing part. My teacher always says I'm a great writer and "have a wonderful gift for storytelling." I tried to make my essay fun and creative while still following all the rules they pounded into our heads. Maybe the graders will think it's as cool as I do!Only time will tell now. No matter how I did, at least it's over and I can go be a kid again tomorrow. Play video games, run around outside, do fun kid stuff! No more tests for a little while. Although who knows what sort of mega-exam nonsense awaits me in middle school. Yeesh, being a grown-up seems hard!Well, that's enough rambling from me. I'm sitting here smiling just thinking about my perfect little Sprinkles waiting for me at home with a wagging tail. Yup, no matter what: getting that pupper was 100% the best day of my entire life so far!THE END篇3The Big Important English Writing TestHi there! My name is Timmy and I'm going to help you with the super duper important English writing test for going to university. It's a really big deal and you have to write a whole essay! Don't worry though, I'm going to give you a template that you can use so it will be easy peasy lemon squeezy!First up, you need an introduction paragraph. This is where you talk about what the essay is going to be about. You can start by rephrasing the question they give you. Like if the question is "What is your favorite food and why?", you can say "There are so many yummy foods in the world, but I definitely have a favorite." Then you need a thesis statement which is the main idea of your essay. For the food example, it could be "My favorite food is pizza because it's delicious, fun to eat, and you can put any toppings on it!"Next, you need some body paragraphs. These are where you talk about the different points to support your thesis statement. You usually want 2-3 body paragraphs. The first one can explain your first reason from the thesis. So for pizza being delicious, you can give some examples of why it tastes so good like "Pizza has a crispy, bread-y crust covered with yummy tomato sauce and gooey melted cheese. Just thinking about it makes my mouth water!"The second body paragraph can be about your second reason, like pizza being fun to eat. You can say something like "Eating pizza is fun because you can pick it up with your hands and nibble on it. There's no fussy cutting into little bites required! You can make it into a game to see who can get the cheesiest bite."The third body paragraph talks about your third reason, like the toppings. "The best part of pizza is how you can put any toppings you want on it. If you like pepperoni, you got it! Ifyou're a pineapple person, that works too! You can make it veggie-packed or load it up with meats. There's a perfect pizza for everyone!"Then you need a conclusion paragraph to wrap it all up. You can restate your thesis, like "In conclusion, pizza is the best food because of its delicious flavors, fun eating style, and endless topping possibilities." Then you want to summarize your main points from the body paragraphs. Finally, for the very last sentence, you can say something a little broader that connects to the bigger topic. For the pizza one, it could be "No matter what your favorite food is, the most important thing is enjoying it!"That's how you write an awesome 5 paragraph essay! Just introduce your topic, have 2-3 body paragraphs with supportingpoints and examples, then conclude it by summarizing everything. If you follow my template here, you'll definitely get a good score on the writing section. Phew, we did it! Now I'm getting hungry for pizza...Let me know if any part doesn't make sense or if you need me to explain it in a different way. I'm rooting for you! You've got this!篇4The Super Awesome Essay TemplateHi there! My name is Billy and I'm going to teach you how to write a really cool essay for your big English test. It's easy if you follow my steps!First, you need to have an introduction paragraph. This is where you tell the reader what your essay is going to be about. You can start with a fun fact or interesting question to grab their attention. Then you'll state your main idea, which is called a thesis statement. Here's an example intro paragraph:Did you know that ice cream was invented by a really smart guy in the 1500s? Crazy, right? Well, in this essay I'm going to tell you all about the history of ice cream and why it's the bestdessert ever. My main point is that ice cream is amazing because it's delicious, has lots of flavors, and brings people joy.Next, you need three body paragraphs. In each paragraph, you'll talk about one of the main points from your thesis statement. You'll start with a topic sentence that tells what the paragraph is about. Then you'll give some details and examples to support your point. Here's what one body paragraph could look like:First off, ice cream is amazing because it's really yummy! There are so many delicious flavors to choose from like chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, and mint chocolate chip. My favorite is cookies and cream because it has crunchy cookie pieces mixed in with the cold, creamy ice cream. Whenever I eat it, I can't stop smiling because it tastes so good!See how I started with the topic sentence, then gave some details and my own example? That's the recipe for a strong body paragraph. You'll do that two more times for your other main points. Finally, you need to write your conclusion paragraph. This is where you'll summarize your main idea and bring the essay to a close. Restate your thesis in a new way, and maybe leave the reader with an interesting final thought. Like this:In the end, ice cream really is the king of desserts. Its delicious taste, endless flavors, and ability to make people happy prove that ice cream is truly amazing. The next time you're at the ice cream shop, take a moment to appreciate this tasty frozen treat and all the joy it brings! That's all there is to it! Just intro paragraph, three body paragraphs, then conclusion paragraph. If you follow my template, your essay is going to be a huge success. Happy writing!Word count: 2002篇5My Super Awesome Essay TemplateHi there! My name is Jamie and I'm going to tell you all about how to write a really cool essay for your big English test. It's gonna be so much fun!First up, you gotta pick an interesting topic that you know a lot about. Maybe it's your favorite video game, or that awesome book series you've read a million times. Or even that funny thing your dog does when you scratch behind his ears. As long as you think it's cool and can talk about it forever, it's perfect!Once you've got your topic, it's time to make an outline. This is like a plan for your essay. Kind of like those maps you use when you're going on a road trip with your family, except for writing instead of driving. For your outline, you'll need three things: an introduction, some body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Let's start with the intro! The IntroductionThis is where you get to tell the reader what your essay is going to be about. You'll want to have a really great hook to grab their attention right away. Maybe a funny joke, or an interesting fact about your topic. Then you'll state your thesis statement. That's kind of like your main idea that everything else is going to connect back to. Like if you're writing about puppies, your thesis could be "Puppies are the cutest baby animals in the world."Finally, give the reader a little preview of what your body paragraphs will cover. That way they know what to expect as they keep reading.Body ParagraphsNow it's time for the main course - the body paragraphs! This is where you really get to dig into your topic and share all your knowledge and opinions. Each body paragraph should have its own main idea that connects back to your thesis statement from the introduction. For example, one paragraph could be about how adorable puppy faces are, and another about the silly ways puppies play.In each paragraph, start with a topic sentence that states the main idea. Then use details, facts, examples and your own thoughts to explain and support that idea. Make sure everything relates back to your thesis! You'll probably want at least 3 body paragraphs, maybe more if you have a lot to say. Just keep churning them out until you feel like you've fully covered your topic. The ConclusionPhew, you've made it to the end! The conclusion is where you wrap everything up with a shiny little bow.Start by restating your thesis, but say it in a little different way than you did in the introduction. This reminds the reader what your main idea was. Then, summarize the key points you made in your body paragraphs. You don't need to repeat everything, just hit the highlights. Finally, end with something memorable that leaves the reader thinking. You could share one mind-blowing fact, a thought-provoking question, or a powerful quote. Anything that really drives your point home. And there you have it! The perfect recipe for an A+ essay. Now get out there and start writing about all the cool stuff you love!篇6The Super Awesome Essay TemplateHi there! My name is Tommy and I'm going to teach you how to write a really cool essay for your big English test. It's super easy if you just follow my steps. Let's get started!First off, you need to have an intro paragraph. That's like the first part that tells what your whole essay will be about. Kind of like when your mom says "We're going to Disneyland today!" and you get really excited to hear about the fun day.For your intro, you say what the main topic is in one sentence. Then you tell a little bit more about the parts you'll talk about in a few more sentences. That's it! Easy peasy lemon squeezy. Here's an example intro paragraph:There are lots of fun things to do at the beach. My favorite is building sandcastles. I also like swimming in the ocean and having picnics. The beach is a great place to spend the day!See how I said the topic is the beach, and then mentioned the three things I'll talk more about? Sandcastles, swimming, and picnics. That's all you gotta do for your intro. Not too hard, right?Next you need some body paragraphs. That's where you really get into the details about each part you mentioned in the intro. Maybe have three body paragraphs if you listed three things in the intro. One paragraph for each part.In the body paragraph, you start by saying the main thing you'll talk about. That's like the topic sentence. Then you keep explaining more and giving examples or reasons about that one thing for the rest of the paragraph. About 5-7 good sentences should do it.Here's what a body paragraph would look like about building sandcastles:Building sandcastles is the funnest part of the beach! First you dig up lots of sand and get it a little wet so it sticks together good. Then you can pack it into bucket shapes and stack them up tall. I like putting shells all around the outside for decorations. You can even make little roads and pools in your sandcastle too! Building takes a while but it's worth it to make an awesome castle.See how I started with the topic of sandcastles? Then I described the steps of how to build one in detail with examples. That's all there is to a body paragraph! Just pick your topic and keep giving more details about it in a bunch of sentences. Do that three times with your three main points and you're set!The very last part is your conclusion paragraph. This one is where you wrap everything up and leave your reader thinking hard about what an amazing essay they just read. It's kind of like the ending scene in a movie where everything gets resolved and figured out.For your conclusion, you just restate the main topic one more time. Maybe say why it was so important or interesting toyou. Then end with one last memorable thought that sums up the whole thing. Bam! Your essay is complete.Like this:The beach is definitely one of the best places to have fun. You can build crazy sandcastles, swim and play in the ocean waves, or just chillax in the sun with a picnic. Everything about the beach is so relaxing and enjoyable. I can't wait to go back!I started by reminding them my topic was the beach. I listed those three things again - sandcastles, ocean, picnics. Then I ended with a thoughts about how awesome beaches are overall. That's how you nail the ending!Phew! That's all there is to writing a kick-butt essay. Just intro paragraph, three body paragraphs, and a conclusion to wrap it up. If you follow my tips, I know you'll do awesome on your test. Now get out there and start writing the coolest essay ever!。

I can't wait to tell you all about it.It all started on the last day of school. I was so excited for summer to begin! No more waking up early, no more homework, and two whole months to just have fun. My parents had already told me and my little brother Tommy that we were going on a big trip this summer, but they wouldn't tell us where. We had to wait until after the last day of school for them to surprise us.That night at dinner, my dad made his famous barbecue chicken and when we were all sitting around the table, he made the big announcement - we were going to Disney World! Tommy and I screamed with excitement. We had been begging to go to Disney for years. I could hardly sleep that night thinking about riding Space Mountain and meeting Mickey Mouse. The next few weeks seemed to take forever as we got ready for our trip. My mom made packing lists, we got new suitcases, and Tommy and I watched every Disney movie we could to get super hyped up. Finally, the morning came when we loaded up the car and hit the road. The drive took two days since we live all the way in California. But it went by pretty quickly since we stopped at fun places along the way, like the St. Louis Arch and the Opryland Hotel in Nashville. We stayed on the road whenever we could, only stopping for food, bathroom breaks, and to sleep at night. Tommy and I loved looking out the window and watching the scenery change as we drove through different states. When we finally arrived in Orlando, we could barely contain our excitement. Our hotel was right on the Disney property, so as soon as we walked in the lobby we were surrounded by Disney magic. There were characters everywhere, the shops were full of souvenirs, and you could see the tops of the roller coasters peeking out.We spent the first evening just exploring our hotel and the nearby areas. We ate dinner at a Disney restaurant with Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Goofy wandering around. After dinner we watched the huge fireworks show they put on every night atCinderella's Castle. It was already the most amazing vacation I had ever been on.But the best was yet to come! We had four full days to spend at the Disney parks - the Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Hollywood Studios, and Animal Kingdom. Each one was more fun than the last. The Magic Kingdom was a total classic with iconic rides like Space Mountain, Splash Mountain, the Haunted Mansion, andIt's A Small World. I loved seeing all the different themed lands like Adventureland, Frontierland, and Fantasyland. We got to meet so many of the Disney Princesses, which was a dream come true. And we were there for Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, where we got to go trick-or-treating throughout the park!Epcot was a bit more educational but still super fun. We got to explore different countries and eat foods from all around the world. The rides were awesome too, like Soarin' Around the World and Test Track. My favorite part was watching the different cultural performances throughout the World Showcase. It made me want to travel to all those places when I'm older.Hollywood Studios was the most thrilling park, in my opinion. The Rock 'n' Roller Coaster was crazy fast, and the Tower of Terror had us screaming with fright (in a good way!). But the bestride was Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance - it was like being inside one of the movies! They had awesome shows too, like the Indiana Jones stunt show. Hollywood Studios really made me want to be an actor or stuntwoman when I grow up.Our last park was Animal Kingdom, which was totally unique. We got to go on a real safari and see live animals like lions, giraffes, and elephants up close. The Expedition Everest roller coaster was a thrilling ride through the mountains. And at night they had these incredible light displays with floating lanterns and music. Animal Kingdom was probably Tommy's favorite since he's obsessed with animals.Between all the parks, we stayed as late as we could every night to watch the fireworks, parades, and shows. We did absolutely everything you could imagine. I'm pretty sure we walked over 20 miles combined! But it was all so worth it.The days seemed to fly by, and before we knew it our Disney vacation was over. We were so sad to leave, but also exhausted from doing so much. The ride home felt twice as long, but we stayed busy looking through all our photos and watching movies in the car.Now that I'm home, I really miss the magic of Disney World. I have so many amazing memories that I'll never forget - likefinally being tall enough to ride Space Mountain, eating a Mickey premium bar, and getting my favorite princess' autograph. This was hands down the best summer vacation ever.I'm already counting down the days until we can go back! Maybe next time we'll get to go on the new Tron Lightcycle coaster they're building. A girl can dream, right? Thanks for letting me tell you about my epic Disney adventure. Now it's your turn - where did you go for summer vacation?篇2My Favorite Summer VacationSummer vacation is the best time of the year! No school, no homework, just lots of fun and adventures. Last summer was super awesome and I want to tell you all about it.It started on the last day of school. I was so excited for summer to begin that I could barely sit still in class. I kept staring at the clock, watching the hands move so slowly. It felt like time was barely moving at all! But finally the bell rang for the last time and we all cheered and ran out of the classroom. No more school for three whole months! I had a million ideas of all the fun things I wanted to do.The first couple weeks I just relaxed at home. I stayed up late watching movies and playing video games. I also got to sleep in every morning instead of my mom dragging me out of bed at 6am for school. That was amazing! I made pillow forts and had epic battles with my little brother. We made a giant mess but didn't care because we were on summer break. After a while though, I started getting bored just sitting around the house all day. That's when the real adventures began! My parents took us on a couple awesome trips. We went to the beach one week and I loved playing in the ocean waves and making sandy sculptures. I tried surfing for the first time too and was actually not too bad at it!Another week we went camping in the mountains. We hiked to some beautiful waterfalls, saw tons of cool plants and animals, and got to make s'mores over the campfire at night. One night we even saw a family of bears from a safe distance! I also impressed my parents by putting up my own small tent all by myself. But my absolute favorite part of the summer was when my cousins came to visit for two weeks. They live all the way across the country so I don't get to see them very often. We had such a blast playing together though! We went to the water park, hadhuge water balloon fights in the backyard, and went exploring in the woods behind our house. We also pulled some fun pranks like putting plastic wrap under the toilet seats and leaving a trail of flour footprints from the kitchen. Our parents pretended to be mad but we could tell they were trying not to laugh. We set up an obstacle course across the whole backyard too with jump ropes, hula hoops, things to climb over, and more. Then we timed each other racing through it over and over to try and beat our fastest times.Towards the end of the summer, we went camping one last time at a nearby lake. We went swimming, fishing, and roasted hot dogs over the fire. My cousin even caught a tiny fish and we spent hours watching it swim around in a bucket before letting it go. In the evenings, we looked for wildlife and saw raccoons, deer, and millions of fireflies blinking in the trees. We also perfected our s'mores making skills with the perfect golden toasted marshmallows. I definitely ate way too many!On the last night before going home, we had a watermelon eating contest and seed spitting contest at the lake. We made such a sticky mess but it was worth it! Our bellies were full of watermelon and we laughed uncontrollably at the silly faces wemade. That's when I realized I was going to miss my cousins so much after they went home the next day.Sure enough, when it was time to finally go back to school I felt sad that summer was over. But I had so many amazing memories from those three months off! I'll never forget all the awesome adventures I had with my family last summer. I'm already counting down the days until next summer when I can make a whole new series of fun memories. School work and homework can wait - summer is the absolute best!篇3My Super Awesome Summer Vacation!Hi there! My name is Jamie and I'm 8 years old. I just had the best summer vacation ever and I can't wait to tell you all about it!It all started on the last day of school. I was so excited because summer was finally here! No more homework, no more waking up early, and two whole months to just play and have fun. My parents had promised me we would go on a really cool trip this year since I got such good grades. I could hardly wait to find out where we were going!A few days later, my mom and dad called me and my little brother Tommy into the living room. They had these big smiles on their faces so I knew it was going to be something really special. "Who wants to go to Disney World?!" my dad shouted. Tommy and I started jumping up and down screaming "Me me me!!" at the top of our lungs. I was so happy I thought I might explode! We started getting ready right away. My mom made packing lists and bought us new summer clothes and swimsuits. Tommy and I made sure to pack all our favorite toys and games for the long car ride. Finally, the day came to leave! We piled into the car with our suitcases and snacks and hit the road. The drive took forever. Are we there yet? Are we there yet? We hung those silly signs on the back windows and played I Spy and the license plate game to make the time go by faster. After what felt like a million years, we finally saw the big Disney castle in the distance. We made itI don't even know where to start with how amazing Disney World was. We rode every single ride - the teacups, Splash Mountain, Space Mountain, you name it! We ate mickey-shaped foods and got our faces painted like pirates and princesses. Onenight we even stayed late to watch the amazing fireworks show over the castle. Magic was everywhere! But my very favorite part was getting to meet all the Disney characters in person. We waited in lines for hoursssss to get their autographs and take pictures. I was a little nervous to meet Mickey at first, but he gave me a big hug and I loved him right away. Cinderella signed my autograph book and told me I look just like a princess too. I'll never forget it!After a million years of fun (okay, maybe just 7 days) it was time to leave Disney and head home. I cried wholeriver of tears as we pulled away! But I have so many amazing memories and souvenirs that I'll keep forever. That trip to Disney really was the highlight of my entire summer and maybe my whole childhood so far. When I got home, my friends and family all wanted to hear about my super awesome vacation. So I showed them my zillions of pictures and told them all about the rides, characters, and magic I experienced. Their jaws were hanging open in amazement at the end! I bet they couldn't wait for their turn to go.Well, that's the story of my incredible summer at Disney World! Even though it's over, I've still been daydreaming about itevery day. A kid really couldn't ask for a better vacation. I just hope that next summer can be half as fun and exciting. Maybe if I get straight A's again, my parents will take us to... Hawaii?! A kid can dream, right? Thanks for letting me tell you about my great summer. Write to you again soon!Jamie篇4My Awesome Summer VacationHi there! My name is Timmy and I'm 8 years old. I just had the best summer vacation ever and I can't wait to tell you all about it!It all started on the last day of school. I was so excited for summer to finally start. No more homework, no more waking up early, and no more lectures from my teacher Mrs. Johnson about not passing notes in class. Freedom at last! The first couple weeks were really fun. I got to sleep in as late as I wanted. My mom would make me yummy pancakes or French toast almost every morning. Then I'd spend most of the day playing video games, watching TV shows, or riding my bike around the neighborhood with my friends. But after a while, that started to get a little boring. I needed some more excitement and adventure in my life! That's when my parents surprised me with the announcement that we were going on a big family road trip across the country. I had never been on a road trip before so I was totally stoked. We loaded up the car with all our stuff - snacks, games, books, pillows, you name it. My little sister Rachel is only 5 so my parents had to make sure she had plenty of entertainment too. Then we hit the road bright and early one morning. Our first destination: The Grand Canyon! The drive took forever. I think we were in the car for like 3 whole days. Rachel kept asking "Are we there yet??" like a million times. But I didn't mind too much because we got to see so many cool things along the way. We drove through deserts, past towering rock formations, and got to spot wildlife like antelope and jackrabbits just chilling out on the side of the road. When we finally made it to the Grand Canyon, it was totally worth the long drive. That thing is HUGE! The pictures don't even do it justice. We went on a little hiking trail along the rim and I felt like I could see for hundreds of miles in every direction. The rocky cliffs and layers of different colors were just breathtaking. After a couple days exploring the Grand Canyon, we hit the road again. This time our destination was Yellowstone National Park. More driving, more games of I Spy and 20 Questions, more stopping at silly roadside attractions like the World's Largest Hairball (nasty!). But Yellowstone ended up being just as awesome as the Grand Canyon. We stayed in a cozy little cabin in the woods and went hiking every day. We saw all kinds of amazing wildlife like bison, elk, bears, and more. The best part though was definitely the geysers and hot springs. It was like the ground was a boiling pot of bubbling water, spurting up into the air at any moment. So crazy! We even got to glimpse the famous Old Faithful geyser erupting on our last day there. What a sight to see! After Yellowstone, we spent some time in Portland, Oregon visiting my aunt and uncle. It was nice to stay in one place for a little while instead of constantly being on the move. They took us to some really cool places around Portland like the Japanese Gardens and this huge bookstore that lasted forever. We got plenty of great food too - Portland has lots of tasty restaurants and food carts.Eventually though, it was time to head home after being on the road for almost a month. Part of me was sad for our epicroad trip to end, but I also missed my house and friends back home. Plus, I had tons of amazing memories and souvenirs from all the incredible places we visited. That road trip definitely made for the most memorable and exciting summer of my life so far. I'll never forget cruising along in the car with my family, belting out silly road trip songs at the top of our lungs. Or watching the sun rise over those painted desert landscapes. Or roasting s'mores by the campfire under a crystal clear night sky. Those kinds of experiences make regular summers at home seem kind of lame in comparison! So that's the story of my awesome summer road trip. If you ever get a chance to go on a big trip like that with your family, I highly recommend it. You might get a little tired of being stuck in the car for so long. But trust me, it's totally worth it for all the unbelievable sights and lifelong memories you'll make along the way. Just try not to complain too much if your little sister keeps asking "Are we there yet??"篇5我喜欢的动物大家好!我是一年级的小明。

学位英语万能模板1:Should free music downloads be ban? With the development of technology, more and more people are making use of the Internet and they are enjoying downloading all types of materials. Some are specially fond of downloading free music, they argue that free music downloads not only enrich our life but also are good for the music industry, because they help increase the popularity of music. However, from my point of view, it is not advisable to allow free music downloads. For one thing, they violate the intellectual property's right of musicians. For another, they have a negetive impact on the sales of musical products, such as CDs,which may do harm to the whole music industry. Without good returns ,who would like to invest in the music industry. In order that music industry can develope healthly, we'd better bad free music downloads. Let's all start to do so, with ourselves.2:On TV showsNowadays TV shows are very popular. TV programs like super girls and dreams in have attracted thousands of people to participate and many more wait to watch them when they are on show. Why are so many people interested such programs? Applicants say that these programs provide excellent opportunities for young people to express themselves and to show their speciality. They help them prove their self-confidence and can add to their courage to face all kinds of challenges. However, some people criticize these programs arguing that they are not only a waste of energy, money and time but also a revelation of sociality. In my opinion, we need not to be too critical about such TV programs. If they can bring happiness to those who participated in them as well as to the audience, they are justifiably entitled to prosper.3:On Students Dealing In StocksWhen many people make a fortune in the stock market, a great number of university students follow their steps and get involved in dealing in stocks, too. They deal in stocks in their free time, trying to earn some money and gain some experience in managing properities. However, there're also people who take a negative view on this. They argue that dealing in stocks will not only take much of the students' energy and time ,but it will also make huge economic risks. When huge losts accur, they may lead to disastrous results. As for me, I think university students must be discouraged to deal in stocks since campus life is not yet ready for the turbulent stock market4:Should English Classes Be Compulsory For Students?5:Fast FoodThe popularity of fast food apparently reatlates to the fast pace of modern life. Office workers have to turn to fast food because of their short lunch time. Some families, with both hansband and wife working full time, cannot afford the time to cook. So they choose it, too. However, evidence shows that fast food lacks nutrition. And if we eat only fast food it is surely bad for health. Therefore, I think, for convenience's sake,we need fast food. But if we want to keep good health, we should try our best to cook for ourselves6:OnMany college students have quit school in recent years. They do it for different reasons. Some students quit school because of their poor health. A serious diease or a traffic accident may have made it impossible for them to continue their schooling. Other students may be forced to do it because their family couldn't afford the tuition. However, there are some students who quit school out of their own choice. Some embrace a good job offer and leave school. Others may find that they cannotafford to lose the the good opportunity to start their own business. So they quit school to start their career just like Bill Gates.Whatever the reason, I think college students should think twice before deciding to quit school. After all, graduates are normally better prepared for their future than those who quit school. College education pays off in the long run.7:Should Students Follow Fshions?Young university students are sentitive to fashions. Some are keen on following fashions. They use mobile phones of the latest style. They wear stylished clothes. They enjoy popular music. Some people are not happy with this phenomenon. They argue the univeresity students should focus on their studies rather than on fashions. They say fashions cost so much that university students cannot afford them. Some students follow fashions crazily for fear of losing face. Fahions have caused much trouble on campus. However, others may hold different opinions. They say fashions can drive students to work harder for a better life and broden their horizons, which is essential for their futue development.I understand those students who follow fashions. But they must be responsible and not go to extremes. If their family is poor, there is no need for them to have such luxurious hobbies9:Grades and AbilityDo high grades imply excellent ability? Opinions vary from person to person. Some agree that high grades reflect high intelligence and are thus indicative of one’s ability. Students who do well in exams are therefore always favored in class. Others hold that grades have little to do with one’s ability. They point out that some students who do not well enough in school may also make great achievements. They take Edison for example, saying that Edison was considered not clever by his primary school teacher but became a very famous inventor later. In my view, grades are important for us students. When people have no other ways to assess ability, they can decide whether we are qualified for school place or position only from our grades. Therefore, we must try to achieve high grades in school, even though they are not the only standard for our abilities.10:The chart show that college students have change much in their ways of studying in English and their totally expenses for have also increased greatly. In2000, they borrowed either reference books or tapes ,but in 2008 they can choose their reference books, tapes, CDs, or DVDs, Mp3s on the internet. Consequently, their annual expenses for studying English have reason from 150 yuan to 230 yuan per person a fifty percent increase.。
