写给自己未来二十年的一封信英语作文

写给自己未来二十年的一封信英语作文

写给自己未来二十年的一封信英语作文全文共5篇示例,供读者参考篇1Dear Me in 20 Years,Hi! It's me, from way back in the past - the year 2023 to be exact. I'm just a kid now, only 10 years old. But I'm writing this letter to you, my future adult self, because I have so many dreams and wonderings about what life will be like for you in 20 years!First thing, what does the world look like in 2043? Have we made more progress in stopping climate change and protecting the environment? I really hope so, because I'm very worried about things like plastic pollution in the oceans and the ice caps melting. The science teachers tell us it's a huge problem that our generation needs to help solve. Are we driving flying cars yet? That would be so cool! Have scientists found cures for any big diseases like cancer? I hate seeing people get sick. What job did you end up getting? Maybe you became a scientist or engineer and you're helping invent awesome new technologies. Or a doctor curing people of their illnesses.Perhaps you're a famous athlete or musician that everyone knows and loves! That would be so fun. Although you'd have to work really hard to get that good. Whatever it is you do for work, I just hope it's something you're really passionate about and that makes you happy. Nothing is worse than having a boring job you hate going to every day.Speaking of being happy, what's your life like in general at age 30? I can't even imagine being a grown-up! Do you have your own house and family? With kids of your own maybe? That's so crazy to think about - me being a parent one day! I'll have to make sure I find a kind, caring partner if I'm going to have little ones depending on me. No matter what though, I hope you've surrounded yourself with people you love who make you laugh and lift you up. True friends are everything.Have you traveled the world and experienced amazing cultures? I want to visit so many places - Paris to see the Eiffel Tower, the Great Pyramids in Egypt, the Amazon Rainforest. Learning about different societies is endlessly fascinating to me. Maybe you became an explorer or photojournalist and get paid to globe-trot! If not for work, I hope you've at least gone on some epic adventures and vacations to interesting destinationsover the years. Don't let fear hold you back from chasing your dreams and experiencing all this world has to offer. Most importantly, I hope you've stayed true to your values and are a good person making a positive difference, even in some small way. The thing I admire most in people is kindness - putting others before yourself and using your talents to help people in need. I always try my best to be caring, hard-working, honest and brave in facing challenges. Hopefully those are qualities you've kept as an adult too. Don't lose that spark of curiosity, joy and optimism either! Sometimes grown-ups can become jaded and forget the magic of seeing life through a child's eyes. There's just so much uncertainty and possibility ahead. In 20 years, maybe the world will have changed dramatically in ways I can't even fathom right now. Or maybe things won't be that different at all and some of the same basic hopes and struggles exist. Wherever life has taken you, I just hope you've found your path to contentment and fulfilled your biggest ambitions. You've got an entire future ahead of you still to make your mark! This was a strange letter to write. It's weird thinking about myself, but as a totally different person. We're the same human being, just at very different stages of life. I wonder how muchyou've changed versus how much has stayed the same? Have you achieved everything young me dreamed about or did things take an unexpected turn down another road? Were the obstacles you faced harder than I imagined or did things work out easier than expected? There's no way for me to really know at this point. In a way, you're like a brand new person I've never met before. Yet you're me, just older and wiser. It's a paradox! So while this letter was addressed to my future self, it was also kind of an introduction of my present self to you. A way to share my innocent hopes and curiosities before the experiences of 20 more years. Maybe somewhere deep down, you've held onto that little kid part of yourself and my voice still rings true inside you. If not, well, I hope these words can act as a reminder of where you started from and the dreams that set you on your path. The core essence that made you, you.Anyway, I'm out of paper now so I better wrap this up! Just want to say one more time, dream big, be good, work hard and don't ever lose that spark of joy! Can't wait to see how my story ultimately unfolds. Here's to making the most of the next 20 years!Talk to you in 2043,Your 10-Year-Old Self篇2Dear Me in 20 Years,Hey there, future me! It's me, your little 10-year-old self, writing to you from way back in 2023. I hope this letter finds you happy, healthy, and livin' your best life! I'm super curious to see what kinds of adventures you've been up to over the past 20 years. Have you travelled the world? Fallen in love? Made your dream job a reality? I've got a million questions swirling around in my brain!First things first, let me tell you a little bit about life here in 2023. Things are pretty sweet, all things considered. I'm killin' it in the 4th grade - well, except for that pesky multiplication stuff. Why do we even need to learn that anyway? In my free time, I'm obsessed with riding my bike, climbing trees, and getting my game on with Roblox and Minecraft. The other day, I built an entire village in Minecraft that was soooo cool. I bet the video games you play now are even more amazeballs!Speaking of technology, can you believe we're still using ancient smartphones and laptops that are basically just slabs? Do you have some kind of holographic computer that lets youinteract with virtual worlds or something? Ooh, or maybe you have a mind-control headset that lets you just think about stuff and it happens! That would be so rad. Whatever kind of crazy future-tech you're using, I hope it's wicked awesome.Let me tell you about my fam and friends here in 2023, since I'm sure a lot has changed by the time you're reading this. Mom and Dad are still working super hard, but they always make time for me. Thanks for appreciating them while you can, future me! My big sis Sarah is off at college, but we FaceTime like every week and she seems to be thriving. My biffles right now are Calvin, Zoe and Tyler. We have so much fun together playing Capture the Flag, skateboarding, and just being gnarly little rascals. I really hope you've kept those awesome dudes in your life!In my dreamiest daydreams about the future, I imagine you've achieved some totally incredible things, future me. Maybe you're a famous inventor who created some revolutionary new technology. Or a wildly successful video game designer crafting the most mind-blowing virtual worlds. Ooh, or perhaps you're an astronaut who has traveled to Mars or even further into the depths of space! No matter what path your life took, I just know you're out there shaking up the world and making your mark. There are so many big hopes and dreams swirling around in my little 10-year-old brain right now. I hope you've been able to make at least some of them a reality. Did you become a professional soccer superstar, smashing goals on the biggest stages? Maybe you're a brilliant scientist who has helped cure diseases or make important environmental breakthroughs? It would be so awesome if you were a mega-famous rockstar too, touring the globe and selling out huge arenas! Whatever your career is, I really hope you're passionate about it and that it makes you feel fulfilled.More importantly than any career accomplishments though, I truly hope your heart is full of love, future me. I hope you've found your person - someone who makes you endlessly happy and who you can share your life with. Maybe you're even married with kids of your own by now! How crazy is that to think about?! If you do have children, I bet they are the lights of your life. Gosh, I can't even imagine what it would be like to be a parent. Just try to remember to let your little ones chase their dreams and explore the world around them with that unshakable childhood curiosity. No matter what, I hope you've stayed true to your silly, adventurous spirit through all these years, future me. Keep beingbrave, keep exploring new horizons, keep chasing the thrill of trying new things! Don't let the pressures and responsibilities of adulthood dull your sparkle. Hold on tight to that infectious, youthful enthusiasm that makes you, well, YOU.As this letter winds down, I'm getting a little misty-eyed thinking about you out there as a grown-up, future me. We've got soooo many years separating us, but I hope somewhere deep down, there will always be a part of you that remains my same core essence. You'll always be that pudgy-cheeked,care-free kiddo building forts, jumping into leaf piles, and looking at the world through awestruck eyes, no matter how many candles are on your birthday cake.I've rambled on enough for now. Just know that this little fourth grade goofball is pulling for you every step of the way, future me! Never lose your sense of wonder about this crazy world. Keep that beautiful mind wide open and soak in all the magic life has to offer. I'll be with you every step of the journey.篇3Dear Me in 20 Years,Hi there! It's me, your younger self, writing to you from way back in 2024 when I was just a kid in elementary school. I'm 10years old right now and life is pretty great! I can't even imagine what things will be like when you're reading this letter, but I'm super excited to think about it.First off, I really hope you've kept up with your passions and hobbies over the years. Right now, I absolutely LOVE playing soccer and building things with Legos. Soccer is my favorite sport - I'm on a team with my friends and we practice twice a week after school. We're not very good yet, but it's so much fun running around and trying to score goals. I sure hope you still enjoy kicking a ball around for exercise and fun!As for Legos, I just can't get enough of those little bricks! I've built huge castles, spaceships, robots, you name it. Mom and Dad say I have a really good imagination and they love how creative I get with my Lego projects. I'm constantly taking them apart and rebuilding new things. I really hope I GET TO kept that creativity as I got older. Maybe you've even turned it into an awesome career like being an artist, inventor, architect or engineer? How cool would that be!School-wise, I'm doing ok I guess. My favorite subject is definitely science - I just think learning about how things work is fascinating. We get to do lots of fun experiments to learn about biology, chemistry, physics and more. Math is pretty interestingtoo, especially geometry and algebra (whatever that is, haha!). Hopefully by the time you're reading this, I didn't drop out or anything and made it through lots of science and math classes. Maybe you're even a scientist, engineer or doctor now?I'm not so crazy about history or english/writing, but I do love reading books about adventures and fiction. I like using my imagination to pretend I'm the main character going on an epic journey or quest. Hopefully you've gotten to go on some awesome real-life adventures for work or vacations? Even if it's just traveling around to marvel at the beautiful natural wonders of the world, I'd love that.Enough about school and nerdy stuff though - let me tell you about my awesome friends! Sarah is my best bud - we've been inseparable since kindergarten. She's hilarious and we're always laughing at jokes or funny stories we make up. I sure hope you two are still super close. We have this amazing group of guys too that we all run around with at recess playing team sports and games of pretending we're superheroes or exploring jungles. Mikey, Ryan, James and Pablo are like awesome brothers to me and we've already made a pinky swear that we'll be friends forever and ever. I really, really, REALLY hope you've managed to keep your close childhood friendships intact over the decades.Ok, that's enough reminiscing about the good ol' days. Let me know - did life turn out like you dreamed all those years ago?I imagine you probably have an amazing job, gotten married to someone super nice, and maybe even have kids of your own! That would be so wild to be a parent. Well, in case you haven't achieved everything you hoped for yet, don't worry - I have faith that my grown-up me is still working real hard and being a good person. Just keep following your passions and cherishing your loved ones.I can't wait to see what the world is like in your time - what new technologies or discoveries have been made? Things are already pretty incredible in 2024 with all the smartphones, virtual reality, robots, videogames, hoverboards and other crazy gadgets we have. I'll be shocked if it's not even MORE futuristic by the time you're reading this! Are there flying cars yet? Or time travel?? Teleportation That would be insane! Whether the world has changed a ton or not, I hope you've made the most of it and found ways to leave your mark.Well, that's about all I can think to say for now. Thank you for taking the time to read this letter from your child self. Just know that I'm proud of you and everything you've accomplished so far. These are the best years of my childhood and I feel so grateful tobe having this experience. I hope you've had an incredible adulthood too, despite any hardships or struggles. Keep being awesome and do me proud, ok? I'll talk to you again in another 20 years!Your Buddy,[Your Name]Age 10篇4Dear Me in 20 Years,Hi there! It's me, your younger self, writing to you from way back in elementary school. I can't even imagine what life will be like for you two decades from now. Will you have an awesome job? Will you be married with kids? Will you have traveled the world? I have so many questions!First things first, I really hope you are still best friends with Jamie, Michael, and Emily. We've been a crew since kindergarten and I can't picture my life without them in it. We have had so many amazing adventures and memories together already. Remember that time we all got chicken pox at the same time and had a pox party instead of being miserable alone? Or when wecamped out in the backyard for a week one summer and pretended we were surviving in the wilderness? Those were the days!Speaking of adventures, I hope you have been on tons of them over the past 20 years! Our family didn't get to travel much when we were kids because money was tight. But I distinctly remember looking at pictures of places like Paris, Sydney, and Rio de Janeiro and dreaming of visiting them one day. The world is such a big, beautiful place with so many different cultures to explore. I hope you've seen a lot of it!Have you kept up with your hobbies over the years? By now, you've hopefully mastered the guitar, painted hundreds of pictures, and read more books than I could even imagine. Maybe you've even taken those interests further and turned them into a career of some kind? Wouldn't that be incredible? To be able to make a living off your passions in life instead of just working some boring job to pay the bills. I hope you figured out how to make that happen. What about school? Did you make it all the way through college? What did you study? Maybe you became a doctor, lawyer, teacher, engineer or scientist like we talked about when we were little. Or maybe you took your education in a totallydifferent direction that I can't even conceive of right now. Wherever your academic path led you, I hope you worked really hard and took advantage of all the amazing opportunities our parents sacrificed so much to give us access to.Most of all, I really hope you are happy, healthy, and living your best life possible in the future. I hope you found a spouse or life partner that loves and supports you unconditionally. If you have kids, I hope they bring you as much joy and fulfillment as we brought our parents. I hope your career is rewarding, not just financially but personally too. And I hope you've held onto the core values that mom and dad instilled in us - kindness, integrity, resilience, and just being a good person overall. There's still so much for you to look forward to that I can't even wrap my 10-year-old brain around. New technologies, new experiences, new relationships, and no doubt some hardships and adversities that will make you even stronger. Just know that no matter what, I'll always be there, cheering you on and wishing you the very best that life has to offer. The future is yours to create! Make it an amazing one.Talk to you again in 20 years, future me!Love,Your 10-Year-Old Self篇5Dear Me in 20 Years,Wow, it feels so weird to be writing a letter to my future self! You are probably an adult now, maybe even almost 40 years old.I can't really imagine what that will be like. Right now, I'm just a kid - a fourth grader at Oakdale Elementary School. Things are pretty great, but also kind of confusing sometimes.I sure hope you have an awesome life and are really happy! I'm writing this letter to give you a little glimpse into who I am now and what my life is like. I also wanted to ask you some questions about the future that I'm really curious about. Here goes!First off, I'm 9 years old right now and will be turning 10 this summer. My best friends are Jayden, Emma, and Michael. We have so much fun together at recess playing tag and four square. Sleepovers at each other's houses are the best! I feel really lucky to have such great friends. In school, my favorite subjects are math and art. I'm not gonna lie, I struggle a bit with reading and writing. It's just kind of hard for me. But I try my best and my teachers are reallysupportive. Mrs. Peterson is my homeroom teacher this year and she's amazing! I hope you had teachers that cool when you were older. At home, I live with my mom, dad, and little sister Lucy who is 6. Lucy can be really annoying sometimes but I still love her. I'm lucky my parents are so nice and caring. We go on a lot of fun family trips and vacations. Last summer we went camping in the mountains and it was a blast! On the weekends, I'm usually playing soccer or going to the movies with friends. Soccer is definitely my favorite sport - I play midfield on a club team called the Lightning Bolts. We practice twice a week and have games on Sundays. I'm not the best player, but I work really hard and have a lot of fun. Some other things I love are dinosaurs, video games, and reading the Dog Man books. My favorite foods are pizza, mint chocolate chip ice cream, and my mom's homemade mac and cheese. I'm really into the Marvel movies too - Iron Man is my favorite superhero.Okay, now for some of my burning questions for you, Future Me:What kind of job or career do you have? I'm really hoping it's something awesome like a paleontologist, pro athlete, video game designer, or astronaut working for NASA!Are you married? Do you have kids of your own? I can't even imagine that, but I really hope you found someone special to love.Where do you live - is it somewhere cool like New York City, Los Angeles, or a beach town? Or did you stay close to our hometown?Have you traveled to lots of awesome places around the world yet? If so, what was your favorite destination? What accomplishments are you most proud of so far in life?Have any crazy or unexpected things happened in your life over the past 20 years? Are you still best friends with Jayden, Emma, and Michael? I really hope so!What amazing new technology exists now that we didn't have back in 2024? Like, do we finally have hover cars and robots that clean our rooms for us?Have scientists discovered any new dinosaur species yet? That would be so epic!Is the world a better place than it was back in 2024? I really hope so and that everyone has worked hard to protect the environment and make the Earth a cleaner, more peaceful place.I could probably think of a million other questions, but I'll stop there for now. The future seems so exciting, but also a little scary not knowing what it will be like. I just hope you've worked hard, been a good person, and are truly happy with your life so far, Future Me!Even though you're an adult now, I hope you've kept your spark of curiosity, sense of humor, and optimism along the way. Always keep following your dreams and doing what you love! Don't get too bogged down with responsibilities and forget to have fun sometimes too.Well, I should probably wrap this up now. Writing this letter has been really cool - it's making me even more excited to see what the future has in store. I know you're going to go out and do amazing things! Just promise me you'll never lose that kid at heart.Your friend,Me (the 9-year-old version!)P.S. If you happened to have met any time travelers from the future by now, PLEASE fill me in on all the mind-blowing details! That would be insane.。

I'm writing you this letter because I have so many questions about what the future will be like. I can't wait to find out what cool and amazing things have happened by the time you read this!First of all, what does the world look like now? Have we made more progress on solving big problems like climate change and pollution? I really hope so, because taking care of our planet is really important. The adults keep talking about renewable energy and reducing emissions, but it's hard for a kid to understand all the details. I just know that we need to take better care of the Earth so you can enjoy clean air, water, and a healthy environment when you're older.Have scientists made any mindblowing new discoveries or inventions yet? Maybe you're riding around in flying cars or have a personal robot butler to help out around the house! Thatwould be so awesome. I can't even imagine what kinds of crazy new technology might exist in your time. Hopefully it's fun and useful stuff that makes life easier and better, not anything scary like robots taking over the world or anything.Speaking of technology, what are video games and computers like these days? The games we have now are so realistic and immersive, I can't fathom how much better they could possibly get. Maybe you have some kind of fully virtual reality system where you can live inside the game world! That would be insane. As for computers, are they just super-fast and portable now? Or have they been totally replaced by somefar-out new computing system I can't even conceive of yet? Yeesh, thinking about the future of tech is making my brain hurt. How is school different in your time? Are all the classes still basically the same old reading, writing, math, science stuff? Or have completely篇2Dear Future Me,Hi! It's me, your past self from when I was just a kid in elementary school. I'm writing this letter to you to say hello from the past and to tell you about my life right now. I hope by thetime you read this, you've grown up to be a kind, smart, and successful person. But I also hope you've stayed fun and not become a boring adult!Right now, I'm 10 years old and in the 5th grade. School is okay I guess, but honestly it can be pretty boring sometimes. My favorite subjects are gym class because I love running around and playing games, and also art class because I'm a pretty good artist if I do say so myself! Math is probably my worst subject though. I just find it so confusing with all the numbers and equations. Hopefully you became better at it as you got older. Please tell me you did!My best friends right now are Johnny, Sara, and Michael. We have so much fun together at recess playing tag and wallball. Johnny is really funny and always makes me laugh. Sara is super nice and smart. And Michael is great at sports. I really hope you are still friends with them in the future. Friends are so important!Speaking of important things, my family is probably the most important to me right now. I love my mom and dad so much. They take such good care of me and support me in whatever I do. I also have the cutest little sister named Emma who is 5 years old. She looks up to me so much and follows meeverywhere! I try to be a good role model for her. I just hope as we got older we stayed close. Having a sibling is the best.As for my hobbies and interests, I'm really into sports like soccer, basketball, and swimming. I'm a pretty active kid and have a lot of energy to burn. I also really enjoy reading, especially fiction fantasy books about magic and adventures. Maybe one day I'll even write my own book! Drawing and painting are other hobbies I'm passionate about. Mom and dad say I have a real talent for art. Finally, I love spending time outdoors, going hiking, having picnics, or just cloud watching. The fresh air and nature is an nice escape from the indoors. My life is pretty simple and fun right now as a 10-year-old kid. But I'm sure by the time you're reading this, your life is a lot more serious and adult. You probably have a career, may be married, might even have kids of your own! That's so hard for me to picture right now. No matter what though, I hope you are living your best life and doing what makes you happy.I have so many dreams for the future. I'd love to travel the world and see places like Paris, Sydney, Cairo, and Tokyo. How many of those have you visited? I also really want to go to college and maybe become a scientist, athlete, artist, or author. Or maybe I'll decide on a career that doesn't even exist yet! Thepossibilities are endless. Whatever path you chose, I'm sure it was the right one for you. There's so much about the future that I can't predict or imagine from my 10-year-old perspective. But I do hope that you've held onto some of the core things that make you, you - your kindness, curiosity, determination, and sense of humor. The world can be a tough place sometimes, so please always stay true to yourself. Don't let it change the fundamentals of who you are.Well future me, I could probably go on writing forever, but I think I'll wrap this up now. Just know that sedated 10-year-old me is so proud of the person you've become and the life you've built for yourself. You've worked so hard and overcome so much to get where you are today. Appreciate how far you've come!I'll leave you with one last piece of advice - never stop dreaming. Pursue what sets your soul on fire. Spend time with people you love. Be grateful every single篇3Dear Future Me,Hi there! It's me, your younger self, writing to you from the past. I'm not sure how old you are now or what kind of life you're living, but I hope this letter finds you happy, healthy, and doing well.Right now, I'm just a kid in elementary school. Each day is filled with lessons, recess, friends, and lots of fun and laughter. Things seem so simple at this age, don't they? I spend my days learning about math, reading cool stories, and doing arts and crafts. Recess is the best part - that's when I get to run around outside and play games like tag and founsquare with my buddies.Speaking of friends, I really hope you've managed to keep some of the great ones I have now. Alex, Samantha, Tyler and I are totally inseparable. We've been best buds since kindergarten and do everything together. I can't imagine life without them. Hopefully that tight bond has lasted through the years, no matter how much you've all changed and grown. True friends are hard to find, so you better not have let those ones get away!Right now my biggest dream is to become a firefighter when I grow up. I think it would be so cool to rescue people from burning buildings and put out huge fires with those big hoses. But who knows, maybe you ended up becoming somethingtotally different that I can't even imagine yet. As long as you're happy and making a positive difference in the world, that's what matters most.I have so many questions about what the future holds for you! Have you traveled to lots of amazing places around the world? Did you end up getting married and starting a family? What technological advancements have been made that make my 9-year-old mind boggle? No matter what, I truly hope you've lived life to the fullest and had no regrets. There's still so much for me to learn and experience. Try to remember how curious, imaginative, and energetic you were at this age. Don't let the stresses and responsibilities of being a grown-up weigh you down too much. It's okay to be a kid at heart sometimes! Go out and have fun adventures, be silly, and surround yourself with people who make you smile every single day. Most importantly, always be a good person with strong values. Stick up for what's right, even when it's not the easy or popular thing to do. Treat others with kindness and respect, just like Mom and Dad have taught me. Lend a helping hand to those in need whenever you can. Leave the world better than you found it in whatever way possible.I could probably go on and on, but I don't want to ramble too much. Just know that I'm rooting for you, wherever life has taken you! Don't forget where you came from and who you are at the core. Here's to your future being everything you've hoped for and more.Bye for now, but not forever!Love,Your 9-Year-Old Self篇4Dear Future Me,Hi there! It's me, your past self, writing to you from way back in elementary school. I'm not sure how old you are now, but I hope you're doing really well and that life has been exciting and fun!I have so many questions for you about the future. What's it like? Have flying cars been invented yet? Or robot butlers that clean your room for you? I bet technology is super advanced and can do all sorts of crazy things by the time you're reading this.Speaking of the future, what kind of job or career do you have? I'm honestly not sure what I want to be when I grow up.Sometimes I think maybe a scientist who discovers new planets or even time travel! How cool would that be? Other times I dream about being a famous athlete like a soccer star or basketball player. Or maybe you're an artist or musician? I love drawing and recently started learning guitar.Whatever you ended up doing, I hope you're happy and get to use your unique talents every day. I really want you to find your passion in life and have a job that you genuinely look forward to. No boring office cubicle jobs, okay? Promise me that, future me!Have you traveled to lots of amazing places around the world? I want to see everything - the Pyramids in Egypt, the Eiffel Tower in France, the Great Wall of China. I hope you've had the chance to go on incredible adventures to far-off lands. Don't forget to send me a postcard from places I've only dreamed about! When you're a grown-up, do you still make time for fun? I really hope so. I never want to lose my sense of curiosity, imagination and playfulness. Having a house full of kids running around sounds like a blast. But even if you don't have children, you should adopt a million篇5Dear Future Me,Hi there! It's me, your younger self, writing to you from way back in the past. I'm not sure exactly how old you are now or what your life is like, but I hope you're doing great and having lots of fun adventures!Since you're older and wiser, I bet there's all sorts of cool stuff you've learned and experienced that little old me can't even imagine right now. I'm writing this letter to maybe give you a little reminder of what things were like when you were just a kid. Hopefully it will make you smile and remember how far you've come.Right now, I'm 9 years old and in the 4th grade at Oakwood Elementary School. My best friends are Tommy, Liz, and Jamal. We have so much fun together at recess playing tag and fortnight on the playground. I still haven't lost my front tooth yet but I'm wiggling it all the time trying to make it come out.My favorite subject in school is art class because I love drawing pictures and getting messy with paints and clay. I'm really into dinosaurs right now too and I asked for a giant book about them for my last birthday. I really want to be apaleontologist when I grow up so I can dig up bones and fossils. Maybe you actually became one? That would be so awesome! When I'm not at school, I like riding my bicycle around the neighborhood and going to the park near our house. In the summers, we go to the beach and the pool a lot and I try to catch little critters in the ocean like crabs and starfish. Building sandcastles is cool too until the wavescome and knock them down.Saturday mornings are my favorite because I get to watch lots of cartoons while eating sugary cereal. I love Spongebob, The Loud House, and The Amazing World of Gumball the most. I hope they're still making those shows when you're my age!Speaking of my age, I'm not a little kid anymore but not really a grown up yet either. It feels like I'll be this age forever sometimes. I can't wait until I'm older like you and get to do all sorts of mature things like driving a car, going to parties, and getting a job. Being a kid is fun but also kind of boring because there are so many rules!I'm really curious what life is like for you in the future. Where do you live - in the same town or somewhere totally different? Did you end up going to college or straight into working after high school? What is your job and are you making good money?I hope I didn't end up something lame like an accountant or tax collector! No offense to those people, but I'm aiming a little higher, haha. Most importantly, are you happy in the future? I really hope so and that you have an amazing spouse or partner who treats you right. Maybe you even have kids of your own by now! If so, I bet you're the cool, fun parent that all the neighborhood kids love. Just don't go too overboard with the dad jokes, okay?Oh man, I can hardly wait to see what incredible things future me gets up to and accomplishes. I have such big dreams for my life - becoming a famous scientist or actor or professional athlete. Heck, maybe I'll even be president of the United States one day! The world is my oyster, as they say.Well, I should probably wrap this up now. I'm getting a little tired of writing and would much rather be outside playing. Just know that no matter what you ended up doing with your life or where you ended up, I'll always be proud of you. You came from this awesome little kid, after all!Believe in yourself and keep reaching for the stars. Oh, and try not to forget all the fun we had back when we were young. Those will be some of your most cherished memories when youget to be an old person! Take care of yourself and make sure to live life to the fullest. I'm rooting for you, future me!Love,Your 9-year-old self篇6Dear My Future Self,Hi there! It's me, your younger version, writing to you from the past. I hope you're doing great and living your best life! I've been thinking a lot about what the future might hold for us, and I have so many questions and dreams.First of all, I hope you're still as happy and excited about learning new things as I am now. I love going to school and discovering all the wonders of the world. I hope you're still as curious and eager to explore everything life has to offer. Have you traveled to any cool places? What new and amazing things have you learned?I also hope you're still following your passions and doing what you love. Right now, I really enjoy drawing, playing sports, and reading adventure books. Have you turned any of thosehobbies into a career? Or have you found new interests and passions along the way? I can't wait to find out!Speaking of careers, what kind of job do you have? Are you a famous artist, a professional athlete, or maybe even an author? Or have you chosen a completely different path that I can't even imagine right now? Whatever it is, I hope you're doing something that makes you happy and proud.I wonder if you still have the same group of friends we have now. They're such a big part of my life, and I can't imagine not having them around. Have you managed to keep those friendships strong throughout the years? Or have you made new friends who are just as special?I'm also really curious about whether you've found someone to share your life with. Do you have a partner or a family of your own? If so, I hope they make you incredibly happy and thatyou're surrounded by love and support. There are so many other questions I have for you, too. Have you accomplished all the goals and dreams we set for ourselves? Are you living in the same place, or have you moved somewhere new and exciting? Have you faced any major challenges or obstacles, and if so, how did you overcome them?No matter what your life looks like now, I hope you're proud of the person you've become. I hope you've stayed true to yourself and your values, and that you've never lost your sense of wonder and adventure.I can't wait to grow up and become you, but for now, I'll keep working hard, learning as much as I can, and dreaming big dreams. Maybe one day, when I'm older and wiser, I'll write another letter to my future self and see how our lives have unfolded.Until then, take care and keep making me proud!Love,Your Younger Self。

给未来的自己的一封信作文大学生英语

给未来的自己的一封信作文大学生英语Dear Future Self,It is with great excitement and anticipation that I write this letter to you, my future self. As a university student today, I find myself reflecting on the journey that has brought me to this point and the countless possibilities that lie ahead. When I think about the person I am now, I am filled with a mix of emotions. There is a sense of uncertainty, as the path forward is not always clear, and the challenges of university life can be daunting. Yet, there is also a deep sense of purpose and determination, a drive to make the most of this transformative experience and to emerge as a more confident, capable, and well-rounded individual. As I navigate the complexities of academia, I am constantly reminded of the importance of setting clear goals and developing a solid plan of action. Balancing the demands of coursework, extracurricular activities, and personal growth can be a delicate dance, but I am committed to finding the right rhythm. I know that the skills I am acquiring, both in the classroom and beyond, will be invaluable in shaping the person I will become. One of the most significant challenges I face is the constant pressure to excel academically. The desire to achieve high grades and secure a prestigious degree can sometimes overshadow the true purpose of education – to cultivate a deep understanding of the world around us and to develop the critical thinking skills necessary to tackle complex problems. I am determined to maintain a balanced perspective, recognizing that true success is not solely measured by grades, but by the depth of my intellectual curiosity and the breadth of my knowledge.Beyond the academic realm, I am also cognizant of the importance of nurturing my personal and social well-being. University is a time of immense personal growth, and I am committed to exploring new interests, building meaningful relationships, and discovering the passions that will fuel my future endeavors. Whether it is through volunteering, joining student organizations, or simply engaging in meaningful conversations with my peers, I am determined to create a rich and fulfilling experience that will prepare me for the next chapter of my life.As I look towards the future, I am filled with a sense of both excitement and trepidation. The world after university can be daunting, with new responsibilities, challenges, and expectations to navigate. However, I am confident that the skills and experiences Ihave gained during my time as a university student will serve me well.I know that the resilience, adaptability, and problem-solving abilities I have cultivated will be invaluable as I embark on the next phase of my journey. To my future self, I offer this simple yet heartfelt advice: never lose sight of your passions, your values, and your commitment to personal growth. The road ahead may not be easy, but with determination, perseverance, and a willingness to learn and evolve, I know that you will continue to thrive and make a meaningful impact on the world around you.As I close this letter, I am filled with a deep sense of gratitude for the opportunity to pursue higher education and the privilege of shaping my own future. Writing A Letter To Your Future Self

Writing A Letter To Your Future Self

Writing A Letter To Your Future Self 重点词∙excitement [ik'saitmənt]n. 预报;预言∙equilibrium [,i:kwi'libriəm]n. 均衡;平静;保持平衡的能力Writing a letter to your future self is an exercise which I thought of back in 2006. It was inspired from when I chanced upon the Yahoo! Time Capsule project. Essentially, this is similar to the concept of a time capsule, where you write a personal note to your future self, seal it and only open it at a future moment in time. There are no restrictions on thetime duration either – it can be 1 year later, 3 years later, 5 years later, 10 years later, or even 20 years later! Why Write A Letter To Your Future Self?Doing this exercise can be a really insightful experience.Just imagine writing a letter to your future self 5 years from now, then opening it at that exact moment 5 years down the road to see how much of it resonated with you. It is a useful supplementary tool to be used in goal achievement, because when you write the letter to your future self, it helps crystallize exactly how you anticipate yourself to become at that specific moment down the road.As you read the letter in the future, you can assess how many things match up (or not) vs. your expectations in the past and think about why that’s the case. Often times, the goals we set and our goal achievement process are subjected to a lot of changes along the way, due to varying obstacles, unanticipated circumstances and changing priorities. The letter gives you a macro-view of your initial vision and lets you recognize how your current vision differs from the past.In addition to that, at the very moment you are writing the letter, your consciousness is captured and stored right there in those words. When you open the letter in the future, you as your future self gets to compare how you used to be in the past and compare with how you are currently. This lets you see in totality how much things have changed since then – and this can be a really intriguing experience. It’s interesting to just see how much you have grown/changed since you wrote the letterWhat To Write About1.Look at today’s date. Now imagine you writing to yourself, exactly X years from now. What do you want to say to your future self?◦How do you want your future self to be like 1 year in the future?◦What are the different dreams and goals you would want to be realized by then?◦What is your desired status of the areas of your life wheel at that time?Career/Business/Studies? Finances? Family? Friends? Love? Health? Spirituality? Recreation? Personal growth? Contribution?2.Once you’re done, sign off your name with today’s date.3.Safekeep your letter.◦Put the papers in an envelope. Seal it.◦On the cover, write “To [Your Name]. To be opened on [Date]“. Replace [Your Name] with your name, with [Date] the date that’s 1 year from now.◦Set in your calendar to open your letter 1 year from now.◦Put this envelope in a safe place where no one can access to it.4.Live your life like you’ve never lived it before in the next 1 year. Open the letter 1 year later and relish in nostalgia, love and joy as you read the letter from yourself 1 year ago.You can either write it as hard copy (for a greater sense of nostalgia due to the aging condition of paper by then) or have it as a digital soft copy. I personally wrote a hard copy, then transferred it into soft copy document on my computer just in case I lost the hard copy. You can also try , an online time capsule service that stores and sends information to a specified email address any time in the future you specify. Personally I prefer to have a copy by my side.Opening My Letter From My Past SelfI wrote 2 letters to myself last year, in February 10th 2008. The first letter I wrote to myself in Feb 10th 2009 (1 year from then); the second letter was to myself in Feb 10th 2013 (5 years from then). A week ago, I opened the first letter I wrote. It was an enthralling experience reading it, since it felt like my old self was talking directly to meReading the letter, it is interesting to notice how I was in the past and how I have changed. One of the biggest changes was my materialism tendencies. While I was already not a very materialistic person when writing this last year, I’m even less materialistic right now, given my added revelations on my relationship with material wealth and goods since quitting my job last year. My consciousness has also heightened, which is not a surprise given it is something I’m constantly working on all the time. The time period after I left my job has definitely given me unlimited personal time to really introspect and dig deep into my personal growth. In terms of goals, I have reached and exceeded several goals. For Health, I correctly predicted I will still be a vegan and loving every minute of it. Weight-wise, I have pretty much reached my desired weight/look, something I’m really proud of as losing weight is a personal goal I had struggled with since 5-6 years ago. For Career, I leaped ahead of myself compared to my predictions – I predicted I would still be working in my ex-company while working on my purpose on the side; Turns out I have already quit it and I’m working on my purpose full-time now. The end result? I’m totally loving every moment right now. There are some goals I haven’t reached yet. For example in Love, I thought I would have found my relationship partner by now, but I haven’t. It’s perfectly okay though due to my revelation a few months ago on how we are actually already perfect, complete and whole as singles. Finding and being together with my soulmate is something I want and look forward to in the future – In the meantime, I’m perfectly happy and complete as I am.In terms of Friendship, some friends whom I thought I would still be great terms with had slipped away; in place of that other people had entered into the foray and have become great friends of mine in the past year, especially the past few months. In a way, it’s sort of an equilibrium at work when you think about it.There were goals I didn’t reach because I had abandoned it halfway, since it lost meaning to me. An example would be wanting to buy a car – when I received my pay rise last year and was in the capacity to get a car, I realized that owning a car in Singapore, where public transport is readily available, does not resonate with my highest self at all. My original intent of getting a car was more for imagery reasons, and that had long been shedded away as part of my old self. Not to mention the environmental damage I would be causing too with a car.All in all, this comparison between my past vision for myself and who I am right now made me aware of several things. It made me more conscious of how much and how exactly I have changed vs. the past, in a tangible manner (rather than just relying on memories). It reminded me of some of the visions I had in the past which I lost track of along the way. It made me appreciate how far I have come. It made me look forward in excitement to the future.Write Your Letter To Your Future SelfTake out a pen and paper right now and start writing your letter to your future self. Identify a time period to write to, imagine how you will be like during that time period, then start writing. Think about the type of person you will be, your place in life, what you would have accomplished then, the kind of thoughts and feelings you will experience, and so on.At the end of the letter, seal it in an envelope, write the date to open it on the cover and put it in a safe storage space. Fix the date to open this letter in your personal calendar. When you open this sometime in the near future, you might gain additional insights about yourself and your journey in the past few years that you were oblivious to.Be sure to check out Day 29 of 30DLBL Program on writing a letter to your future self.写给未来自己的一封信2006年,偶然受雅虎“时间胶囊活动”的启发,我萌生出给未来的自己写一封信的想法。
