个性练习设计
数字游戏:在学习了基数词和序数词之后,学生基本上掌握了其结构,但要做到灵活运用,还需要不断地操练。

教师可以让学生在课下准备一些数字卡片,分别写上基数词和序数词(从l到31),在活动时,将这些数字卡片放在桌子上,把学生分成两组,让其中的一组同学从中选出5个数字,并且读出来,另一组同学根据所听到的内容提示,在10秒钟之内找出与之对应的基数词或序数词。

这种活动可以训练学生对数词的听音、辨音能力和反应能力。

学生对自己的生日话题均感兴趣,该主题容易展开,学生互相之间谈论起来,能够做到循序渐进,起到寓教于乐的教学效果。

教材分析
本单元是人教版(新目标)七年级上册第八单元的讲练课。

本课围绕When is your birthday?展开话题,讨论每位学生及其周围人的生日及如何表达,内容涉及有12个月份的生词、序数词1st-31st 及简单的明信片写法。

词汇量大、跨度大、难度也较大。

如何使学生用这些难读、难记、又单调的词汇进行交流与交际,将是本课时的一大挑战。

利用多媒体,采用任务型教学法,通过游戏、竞赛等形式,充分调动学生的积极性,让学生自主掌握教学目标。

4.how old意为“多大年纪,几岁”,用来询问年龄。

例句:—How old is Jack?杰克多大了?—He is 11/11 years old.他11 岁。

(二)本单元内容的知识体系1、教学内容本单元是Go for it七年级上册第八单元“When is your birthday”。

本单元的核心话题是谈论人的出生日期,主要学习序数词的构成以及运用序数词表示日期的方法;学会运用 when 引导的特殊疑问句询问日期;学习名词所有格( ’s 所有格 ) 的构成和使用。

SectionA是本单元的重点部分,也是核心教学内容,为口语练习课,主要学习日期的询问与表达;通过谈论自己、同学以及父母家人的生日,理解生日更多的含义。

它上承Unit 7的数字教学,下接Section B与以后有关日期的英语教学。

因此,本部分是前后知识的载体,在本单元以及今后的英语学习中都占重要的地位。
