I recently heard a story from a man named Malcolm Dalkoff. For the last 24 years he has been a professional writer. 1 is what he told me:
As a boy in Rock Island, Dalkoff was terribly shy. He had few friends and no self-confidence. One day, his English teacher, Ruth Brauch, gave the class an assignment. The students had been reading To Kill a Mockingbird. 2 they were to write their own chapter that would follow the last chapter of the novel.
Dalkoff wrote 3 chapter and turned it in. Today he cannot recall anything special about the chapter he wrote, 4 what grade Mrs. Brauch gave him. What he 5 remember is the four words Mrs. Brauch wrote in the margin of the paper: “This is good writing.”

of mystery and beauty. It is desired by all the world. Even those who have little hope sigh, “Tomorrow may bring a change. Tomorrow life will be different.”
Everybody tried to catch the Tomorrow 8 it fell to the ground. They thought 9 they knew before hand what the Tomorrow carries, they could prepare for it. What Is Shyness?
Shyness is a social emotion that affects a person’s feelings, thoughts, and behaviors. Shyness is about feeling uncomfortable, self-conscious, scared, nervous, or insecure around others. If people feel shy, they hold back on saying or doing things because they’re concerned about 1 others might respond. Physical sensations can be part of shyness, 2 — like feeling flushed(脸红), shaky, speechless, or breathless. People are more likely to feel shy in situations 5 they’re not sure what will happen, how others will react, or when all eyes are on them. People are less likely to feel shy in situations where they know 6 to expect and what to do or say or where they are among familiar people.
Shyness can vary from person to person. People can be mildly shy, moderately shy, or extremely shy. Some people with mild to moderate shyness feel shy only in certain circumstances.
