教学准备
说明:Starters Units1-3三个单元主要是为小学没有开设英语或是开设了并未真正实施的地区而设置的,铜陵太平这个地方小学据我们所知是开设了英语课的,尽管由于各种原因也远未能达到小学课程标准的要求,但字母教学基本上不需要一个一个地去教了。
因此,在我们接手这届初一的时候,我们在开学头两节课对字母做了集中处理,主要是纠正发音和书写规范,后来的每个单元的教学中字母就不作为教学重点了,只是用来作教学的素材。
教学目标
1. 能够用英语询问颜色,并能够做出相应的问答。
2. 能够说出一些日常用品的名称。
教学重难点
一、Language points (语言点)
1. 掌握词汇:
名词兼动词:color
名词兼形容词:red, yellow, green, blue, black, white, purple, brown
2. 掌握句型:What’s this/that? It’s V.
What color is it? It’s red.
二、Difficulties (教学难点)
1. What color开头的特殊疑问句。
疑问词What修饰color,因此两个词要放在一起,不能分开,回答时一定要落实到颜色上。
2. It’s red. 和It’s a red V中不定冠词的基本用法。
教学过程
1. Warm-up and revision (课堂热身和复习)
Greetings and leading-in
Greet the Ss in English
T: Today we’re going to talk about colors. Do you know colors?
When some Ss say yes, get them to stand up and tell the class.
What color do you know?
Do you know any colors?

师生用英语相互招呼,营造用英语交流的氛围;并复习并养成尽量用英语上课的习惯。
复习巩固已学知识,让学生在真实的交际中步入新课。
2. Presentation (呈现新知识)
1) Show a picture of a rainbow to teach different colors.
T: This is a rainbow. It’s colorful. (Point to the color red) It is red. (Point to the color yellow) It ’s yellow. (教师用彩虹引出大自然中五颜六色的现象让学生初步接触表颜色的英语词汇,学生仔细听老师的发音。
)
2) Show flashcards with different colors to teach the new words: color
red, yellow, green, blue, black, white, purple, brown
T: Look at the card
It is red. Read after me, “red”.
S: Red, red, red.
T: What color is it?
S: It’s red.
(同法引出其它几个表颜色的词)
3) Show some colorful letter cards to the Ss and practice like this.
T: What’s this?
S: I t’s V.
T: What color is it?
S: (Help Ss) It’s red. (同法教S, T, V, W, X, Y, Z并引出表颜色的词)
【教学设计说明】通过学生熟知的大自然现象和生活中的事物引出表颜色的单词,容易引起学生的兴趣和注意。
同时,教师引出不定冠词,让学生对其有一个初步的印象。
本节课的字母对小学学过英语的学生来说并不陌生,只是规范发音的问题。
4) Work on 1a (完成1a)
(1)T: Please open your books to page S9. What colors can you see on the left?
S: Red, yellow, green, blue, black, white, purple and brown.
(2)What letters can you see in the picture?
S: S, T, U, V, W, X, Y, Z.
(3)T: What color is V?
S: It’s red.
T: V is red. It’s a red V. Read after me, please.
S: V is red. It’s a red V.
(4)Look at the picture and write the letter for each color.
(Answers: V, S, Y, W, Z, U, X, T)
【教学设计说明】在本环节中,除了让学生完成1a的任务外,教师还在口头上教学生说V is red. It’s a red V.
3. Speaking Practice (分组练习与展示)
1. Get couples of students to the blackboard to present the dialogue as in the textbook for other students to watch and imitate.
2. Divide the class into groups of four to practice the dialogues with each other, or practice with the help of other students in their groups. About five to ten minutes will be needed here to provide enough practice.
3. Draw lots to let some students to the blackboard to show to what extent they have just practiced. Score their activities in groups.
4. Writing Practice. Get students to write dialogues according to the sample after giving a colored letter. First they can check their own writing papers within their groups, then Teacher begin to check their papers and give scores at the same time.

4. More about colours(知道它们的意思吗)
英语中很多表达法与颜色有关,但不能望文生义。
(1)黑色不黑。
black sheep(败类);black dog(沮丧);
black tea(红茶) ; black coffee(未加糖或奶的浓缩咖啡)
(2)白色不白。
white nights(不眠之夜);white room(无菌室);
white lie(善意的谎言);white elephant(无用之物)
(3)黄色不黄。
yellow dog(懦夫);yellow boy (指“金币”而不是“黄色小孩子”)
(4)蓝色不蓝。
blue moon(千载难逢之机);blue blood指的是“贵族血统”。
(5)绿色不绿。
green hand(新手)
【教学设计说明】此环节主要是给学生补充一些带颜色的词汇,增强他们的学习兴趣。
5. Listening Pratice(听力训练)
Work on 3a (完成3a)
T: Please open your books to page S11.(Point to the things)What’s this in English?
S: It’s a cup/ruler/key.
T: Good. Now let’s listen to the conversation and color them.
(1)Play the recording for the first time. Ss only listen.
(2)Play the recording for the second time. Ss color the things.
(3)Check their answers.
【教学设计说明】先听不做,培养学生良好的听的习惯,也有助于培养他们集中注意力。
听后给图片着色,可以丰富课堂活动,增强学生的学习兴趣。
Work on 3b (完成3b)
(1) T: Let’s listen to the recording once again and complete the sentences. (Play the recording.)
(2) Check the answers.
(3) T: “The key is yellow.” means “It’s a yellow key.”
What does “The ruler is …” mean?
S: It means “It’s a …ruler.”
【教学设计说明】学生完成任务后再进行同义句的转换,可以让学生更深刻地了解系表结构中单数可数名词前要用不定冠词a/an和形容词做表语不用a/an的情况。
Work on 3c (完成3c)
(1) T: Next, we’ll listen to a conversation. (Play the recording.)
(2) T: Let’s listen to it again. This time, you can listen for the things.
(3) T: What color are the things? Let’s listen again. You can fill in the colors in the chart. 课后习题
