A cobra (眼镜蛇) was set free on September 10 in a park in Xiangtan City, South China’s Hunan Province. ___1___ And they began hunting for the deadly creature to try to prevent it from hurting anyone.
In the name of mercy, some people free captive (关在笼子里的) animals, including foreign species, mostly bought from pet shops or markets.___2___ Last April, someone freed hundreds of foxes and raccoon dogs in a Beijing suburb, causing economic losses to animal farmers and endangering the safety of local residents.
___3___ Besides, today people are increasingly aware of the importance of environmental protection and biodiversity. But it is necessary to ensure that acts of freeing captive animals do not violate laws or harm the interests of the public.___4___
In order to regulate the release of captive animals, the government revised the law on wildlife conservation in 2016. According to the updated regulations, no individual or organization should harm the public interest by freeing captive animals.___5___

A Trip to Key West
As we cross the bridge to Key West, we can see many boats. _____6_____Others belong to people who have sailed their boats here from many different places.
In the city, the houses are almost all painted white. A few are pink or light blue. Many houses are very old and very small. Key West is a very old city.___7___
Many palm trees(棕榈树)grow here. Colourful flowers grow in front of many of the little houses. You can stay in a room in one of these houses for the night. You can smell the ocean on the soft warm wind that blows across the island.
We drive past several streets and then come to Whitehead Street. There is a monument there. The signs says this is the southernmost part of the United States. The sign says “ Americ a Begins Here.” ___8___ It is the second largest ocean.
After taking a few photographs of the sign, we turn the car around and follow Whitehead Street to number 1907. ___9___ For a few dollars, you can see the inside of the house. Hemingway had many cats when he lived here. He is gone, but the cats remain. Many are asleep on the beds or chairs. They are used to seeing people walking through the old house.
___10___There is a private museum here we want to visit. It is the Mel Fisher Maritime Heritage Society Museum. The museum is named after the treasure hunter Mel Fisher, who discovered an old sunken Spanish treasure ship near Key West more than twenty year ago.

Whether at school, college or work, most of us take some sort of lunch break. __16__.But here lies the dilemma – what to eat? There are a feast of options but because of limited time or money, many of us stick to what we know – usually the humble sandwich.
Some of us make our own sandwiches in the morning before heading out, while those in a rush tend to grab-and-go at a snack bar or a cafe or buy a meal deal at a supermarket. A packet of crisps may be an additional staple to our predictable lunch. _17__Sheila Dillon from the BBC Food Programme says more than a third of office workers have eaten the same midday meal for the last nine months.
_18__With average lunch hours now reduced to 25 minutes, 24 seconds, it's quick and convenient to eat. But it's also boring! Some people have broken the mould by bringing in leftovers from their previous night's dinner, which they then heat up in a microwave but even that isn't very exciting.
We are creatures of habit. But philosopher Julian Baggini says "we’re never going to break out of our midday malaise unless we think outside the box." _19__With just a microwave and a kettle, there a number of hot satisfying meals can be made such as soups and jacket potatoes. And then there are the common instant noodles in a pot – although you may question how nutritious they are.
If you've got time for more exotic food, then look out for trendy 'Ottolenghi' style food such as fava bean salad wrap. There is also the healthy Japanese style 'bento box' or lunchbox that normally contains a mix of carbohydrate, protein and vegetable. __20__
