1. Revise five vowels and the topic ‘sports’.
Encourage students to talk about their favourite sports.
2. Present some pictures. Teach new words and phrases:
favourite football player, come from, member, club,
hope, dream, come true.
Step2. Skimming
Let students read the passage quickly and find out who is
the football p layer.
Step3. Scanning
1. Let them read the passage one paragraph by one paragraph and find out what they talk about.

1.Ask students to read the passage carefully and finish
Part B3.
2. Check answers and let students express their meanings in
full sentences.

1. Help students to fi nish Part B2, let them read the passage
after the tape and correct the ir pronunciation.
